My trip to Bucharest was an exciting mix of history, culture, and vibrant city life! 🇷🇴 I started at the Palace of the Parliament, an enormous and impressive building. The entrance fee was about 40 RON, and the guided tour was well worth it to appreciate its grandeur and fascinating history. 🏛️
Exploring the Old Town, I enjoyed wandering through the narrow streets filled with charming cafes and lively bars. The atmosphere at Lipscani Street is fantastic, especially in the evenings when it’s buzzing with locals and visitors alike. 🍹
A visit to the Romanian Athenaeum, a stunning concert hall with its beautiful neoclassical architecture, was another highlight. Tickets for a performance were around 100 RON, and the venue’s acoustics and interior design are truly impressive. 🎶
I also took a relaxing stroll through Herăstrău Park, where the vast green spaces and the lake provided a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle. 🚤
Bucharest blends old-world charm with modern energy, making it a great destination for those who love exploring diverse attractions. #trip #Bucharest #PalaceOfTheParliament #OldTown #RomanianAthenaeum #HerăstrăuPark

Love Unveiled: Bucharest's Art Safari
#wheretogo
As I wandered through the cobblestone streets of Bucharest's Old Town on a tranquil summer afternoon, I stumbled upon a hidden gem that would soon fill my heart with wonder and joy. The Old Town, with its centuries-old architecture and bustling atmosphere, always had a way of charming me, but what awaited me at the Museum Art Safari was a rare and captivating experience.
The highlight of the museum was an interactive exhibit that allowed visitors to share their own stories of love and care. As I penned down my own experiences, I couldn't help but reflect on the profound moments in life when love and care had made all the difference.
The Museum Art Safari had not only captivated my senses but had touched my soul. It was a reminder that amidst the busy streets of a city, there existed a place where the profound beauty of love and care was celebrated. As I left the museum and returned to the charming Old Town, I carried with me the warmth and inspiration that this unexpected encounter had gifted me.
Bucharest's Old Town may have been a historical treasure in itself, but the Museum Art Safari had proven that the true treasures lay in the human heart, in the love and care that we share with one another, and in the stories that connect us all.

Dawn's Serenade at Herăstrău Haven
#wheretogo
The morning sun painted the sky over Herăstrău Island in warm hues, casting a golden glow on the tranquil waters of the lake. As I strolled along the winding paths, the crisp air carried the invigorating scent of dew-kissed grass and blooming flowers. A gentle breeze whispered through the leaves, creating a soothing melody that accompanied my steps.
Along the lakeshore, a diverse tapestry of life unfolded. Couples leisurely walked hand in hand, their laughter harmonizing with the rustling leaves overhead. The rhythmic beat of jogging shoes on pavement echoed as runners embraced the serene surroundings, their determined strides mirroring the peaceful rhythm of the morning.
Upon reaching the water's edge, a picturesque scene unfolded. Fishing enthusiasts lined the banks, their patience rewarded by the occasional tug on their lines. A father and son shared a quiet moment, the joy evident in the young boy's eyes as he reeled in his first catch. Nearby, a sailboat gracefully glided across the lake, its sails catching the early sunlight.
As I continued my journey, the atmosphere transitioned seamlessly. The vibrant colors of the sunrise danced on the water, creating a breathtaking panorama. Dogs of all shapes and sizes brought an additional layer of joy to the scene, their playful antics adding to the lively morning energy.
Bucharest seemed to awaken with a gentle embrace from Herăstrău Island. The juxtaposition of nature and urban life created a harmonious symphony, where the city's pulse synchronized with the tranquil heartbeat of the lake. With every step, I felt a profound connection to the beauty surrounding me—a testament to the timeless allure of Herăstrău Island, where each morning was a canvas painted with the hues of serenity and shared moments.

People’s House Romania 🇷🇴
#timetotravel
Entering the People's House in Romania was like stepping into a symphony of grandeur. The colossal structure, a testament to architectural ambition, left me in awe of human creativity. Its sheer size seemed almost surreal, yet it bore the weight of history within its walls. The opulent halls and ornate details whispered stories of an era marked by contrasts. Restaurant in Bucharest with Unique Interior
In Bucharest, Romania, there is a restaurant and bar called Caru’ cu Bere, or “The Beer Cart”, which has over a 100 years of history. Being designated as a historical monument, it has retained its historical charm of stained glass windows, wooden furniture and Victorian style chandeliers. This place reminds me of the dining hall in Harry Potter movies.
As it happened to be during the Halloween month, the restrooms had cute decorations to the theme with pumpkins and a scarecrow.
This restaurant is famous with both locals and tourists, and it can get very crowded especially at night when people gather for a meal or drink after a long day. The pork knuckles is their signature dish. The two carving knives stuck into the meat and the really huge portion which is shareable between 2-4 pax depending on one's appetite makes it intimidating.

Village Museum in Bucharest
#bucketlistreboot
“Dimitrie Gusti” National Village Museum is another place to visit in Bucharest. Whilst you’re there, another great venue to see is the Peasant Museum which offers a good perspective of early Romanian country side life and various house style differences across Romania. A must is an ice-cream during your hot summer visit!
So to wrap it up, we believe Bucharest definitely should warrant a flight ticket to come and see this Eastern European Little Paris. Its modern architecture combined with French architecture as well as neo communist style buildings make Bucharest a city for anyone to put on their travel map.

Grigore Antipa Natural History Museum
A good place to go also would be the Grigore Antipa Natural History Museum. This is a Bucharest classic, all pupils go here as it has great expositions and amazing items on display. King Mihai I Park (Herăstrău) Opposite the museum, one can see the Government building known as the Victory Palace. Whilst it doesn’t have much to offer architecturally, it overlooks the Victory Square which leads into Aviatorilor Square and finally to Bucharest’s largest park – Herastrau by the old name or Mihai I Park as it’s been recently baptised in respect to the late Romanian King, Michael I.

House of Ceauşescu Talking about Ceaușescu and palaces, let’s dwell a bit more on this topic. Another item on your list should be his former residence. It was for a quarter of a century (1965-1989) the private residence of Nicolae and Elena Ceauşescu and of their children, Nicu, Zoia, and Valentin. The spatial qualities and balanced volumes of the Ceaușescu Mansion are striking, as is its luxurious and comfortable interior.
Bucharest enjoys the presence of 2 airports. However, there is 1 main airport, Henri Coanda – Otopeni (OTP) which handles most of the traffic. Many flights come here every day and due to the high passenger turnover, many airlines practice competitive pricing.

Checkinaway (@checkinawayblog) Bucharest!

2) really efficient way to visit the city if u lack of time
3) guide can offer you the essentials of travelling in the city and save you time and money with their recommendations
4) a really good way to meet friends too
Cons:
You dont get to have enough time to linger in one spot
Bucharest must be on your bucket list
#bucketlistreboot
If there was a city more mistaken for another, it would be Bucharest. Yes – what a way to start this article! During Michael Jackson’s visit in 1992, he greeted the crowd thinking he’s in Budapest. Looking back at the many artists that followed him – Metallica, Iron Maiden and Ozzy Osbourne, they all thought they are in the Hungarian capital. But are the two cities that similar? The answer is simple – No. Bucharest has a unique and distinct architecture much of it being influenced by French and Belgian architecture and no wonder during the interwar period it was called “Little Paris”. Its large boulevards filled with cafes and busy night life offer tourists a bit of everything.

Checkinaway (@checkinawayblog) Enchanting Bucharest
Romania is one of the newer EU countries in Eastern Europe. Its capital, Bucharest, is an interesting city that offers historical monuments as well as modern flair. The former communist capital is an interesting mixture of both communist style buildings and neo classical buildings. The city also has many expansive green spaces and parks, which offer a good respite from the summer heat. Prices in the city are lower than many other EU countries, so the value for money in Bucharest is quite good. One last thing to note is that public transport is really user-friendly; credit card is readily accepted and prices are cheap! The same is true for the bus that goes to the airport.
This is the presidential palace of #romania located in the capital - #bucharest . It is the second largest adminstrative building in all around the world ans the tour takes 2 hours. The guide told us that for 2h we saw approximately 10 percent of the building, so you can imagine how big is that place
#happynewyear
#bucharest is the capital of #romania a big country in eastern Europe. The parliament of the country is right here and it is one of the biggest administrative buildings in the world. It offers also many other attractions like the village museum, Calea Victoriei - the main Street, the fountains and the old town.

Therme Bucuresti SPA center is the biggest of its kind in Europe. It is just near the Bucharest Otopeni Airport and is very good option for a winter escape. I go there at least 1 time during the winter. There are 3 zones inside - Galaxy, The Palm and Elysium. Some if them are not allowed for kids.

Visiting a horse farm near the Transylvania mountains outside of Bucharest in Romania. You can take a sleigh ride or go sledding. Horses are there as well. Always a fun time. Not as expensive as other places in Europe. A good value. #merrychristmas
