Wat Nuannoradit Worawihan

🧱Wat Nuannoradit Worawihan is a third-class royal temple. Originally an ancient temple, it had been abandoned for a long time. It is believed to have been built during the Ayutthaya period. 🏡Originally named Wat Makok Nai, paired with Wat Makok Nok, which is now Wat Arun Ratchawararam, as it is located along the Bangkok Yai Canal. 🏰At the end of King Rama I's reign, Chao Khun Phra Ratchaphan (Nuan), the sister of Queen Amarindra, the consort of King Rama I, renovated the abandoned Wat Makok Nai, assigning Chao Phraya Phra Khlang (Dit Bunnag), her son, to oversee the restoration. 🏰Chao Phraya Phra Khlang (Dit Bunnag) renovated Wat Makok Nai after completing the restoration of Wat Prayurawongsawat in 1836. 🙏Later, King Rama IV bestowed the name Wat Nuannoradit Worawihan in honor of Chao Khun Phra Ratchaphan (Nuan). 🏰Since then, Wat Nuannoradit Worawihan has undergone several restorations.
