At the Yin Ruins Museum, I gazed deeply into the soul of Huaxia from 4000 years ago

😜 Amidst the barrage of notifications from numerous public accounts, I learned about the opening of the new gallery at the Anyang Yin Ruins. Then, under the strong call of 'Heavenly destiny is mysterious, the bird descends and gives birth to Shang,' I embarked on a cultural and museum journey through Henan, Hebei, and Shandong. Honestly, it was like making a whole meal of dumplings just for a dish of vinegar. But, to tell the truth, this vinegar is really delicious! The Shang Dynasty, as a dazzling bronze dynasty in human history, has given birth to the Yin Ruins Museum, where naturally seven or eight out of ten of the main exhibits and treasures are bronze artifacts👑. Those public accounts that piqued my interest praised the quantity and quality of the bronzes here the most, emphasizing that many were on display for the first time. After a full tour, I indeed felt that their words were true. There were numerous high-quality bronzes, and the exhibition's flow planning and display level were top-notch👍, making the visit both comfortable and satisfying. However, since top national treasures like the Simuwu Ding and the Fu Hao Owl Zun have been handed over to the National Museum or the Henan Provincial Museum, there was a slight lack of shock and awe in the satisfaction😕. 🎊 Of course, this is not to say that the bronzes in the Yin Ruins Museum are not outstanding. Items like the Simuwu Xin Ding, the Ya Chang Bull Zun, the Ya Chang Square Zun, and the Ya Chang Bronze Yue (don't you feel like Ya Chang holds up half the sky of the Yin Ruins, haha) could be the centerpiece of any provincial museum. And my personal favorite is our little internet-famous claw😜, because it's just so special! Plus, the thoughtful placement of replicas next to the exhibit stands is just perfect. The moment of touching the little claw, I truly felt an electric current of history flowing through my body. Are there any similar claw-holding photos in the comments section? In addition to the massive amount of bronzes, what really caught my eye was the construction of the entire gallery, both inside and out, the design of the exhibition flow and layout, and the dynamic digital presentations🎊. But what shocked me the most was the oracle bone script gallery. Other museums treat fragments of oracle bone script as their treasures, but here, the complete oracle bone turtle plastrons were like wholesale. I couldn't understand them, but I was deeply shocked. Because there are too many pictures and the shock was too intense, I will start another post specifically about the gallery and the oracle bone script. Finally, an interesting blunder😝. When visiting the first gallery, I noticed that most of the artifacts were labeled 'Collection of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Institute of Archaeology,' so my experienced museum-goer self immediately became alert. Could it be that all the exhibits here are replicas? It was only after seeing that the three main treasures were also labeled this way that I couldn't help but ask the museum staff, and then I learned that the new Yin Ruins gallery was co-built with the Academy of Social Sciences, so if it's not labeled as a replica in the museum, then it's genuine.
