Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque
Brunei.
Brunei Darussalam 'The Abode of Peace' 🇧🇳
Introducing the three places we visited this time:
'Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque'
(commonly known as the New Mosque 🕌)
'Istana Nurul Iman'
(the palace where the king resides 👑)
'Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque'
(commonly known as the Old Mosque 🕌)
They say there's hardly any tax?!
Blessed with natural resources like oil and natural gas,
it's also known as a wealthy country!!!
The atmosphere of the city during the day and at night is quite different,
and it's a country where you can spend a leisurely time forgetting about the time.

HUNGRY BAR & BISTRO
Everything pork in this restaurant. This non-halal cafe, which located in Kiulap, included a small, simple interior design with a dark ambiance.
The smoked pork ribs were tender and good to eat.
I will be back and this time we'll eat in!
Pretty good & consistent experience so far.

"Kindness and Comfort: Flying with Brunei Air
Last recent holiday I had the pleasure of flying with Brunei Airlines, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I stepped onto the plane, I was greeted with warm smiles from the friendly flight attendants, who went out of their way to make me feel comfortable.
The flight itself was smooth and comfortable, and I was impressed with the quality of the food and the in-flight entertainment. It's clear that Brunei Airlines puts a lot of effort into making their passengers feel comfortable and relaxed, and I truly appreciated it.
Once I arrived in Brunei, I was struck by the beauty of the country and the warmth of the people. Everywhere I went, people greeted me with kindness and hospitality, making me feel right at home.
During my stay, I had the opportunity to explore some of Brunei's incredible sights, from the stunning mosques to the lush jungles and pristine beaches. Everywhere I went, I was struck by the natural beauty and the rich cultural heritage of the country.
Perhaps the best part of my stay in Brunei, however, was the people. From the hotel staff to the shopkeepers and street vendors, everyone I encountered was kind, friendly, and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed, and I truly appreciated their kindness.
Overall, I would highly recommend both Brunei Airlines and a visit to Brunei itself. From the friendly service on the flight to the warm hospitality of the people, it was truly an unforgettable experience.

#valentinescape #koreacuisine #yumyum #brunei
Today, we have our Lunch at Yumyum Korea Restaurant, Unit 19,20,21,22,23 Little soho Bersurat, B, Jalan Batu Bersurat. We like their free servings of Korean Side Dishes. You may request for refill if it is not enough. The Kimchi and picked radish taste good. Moreover, their Sikhye drink is taste so refreshing with a big cup. Their Kimbab also taste good, I taste original this time, but I like the one with minced beef meat more. Their service is good and it is suitable for friends and family gathering.

#grocery #brunei #mgs
Maju Grocer Supermarket is located at Lot 19780 EDR BD 18247 Block A, Simpang 659, Kampong Jangsak, Bandar Seri Begawan BE1118. The store has a modern environment and very suitable for visitors who want to get something locals made in Brunei or imported products from Australia, Malaysia, Korea or Japan can be found here. I bought two box of Haagen Dazs, American brand ice cream with promotion Buy 1 Free 1. The supermarket has well organised on their products display and also clean place that I enjoy shopping there. Just their air-conditioning is a bit too cold, please bring along ur jacket or wear long sleeves of there is rainy day.
I always like to shop the groceries in different countries, where I can experience the locals life, see what they buy, what they eat, and what they do.

Gold Domes Of Brunei
Item : Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam
Location : 4.9031° N, 114.9398° E
Bandar Seri Begawan formerly also know as Brunei Town is the capital of Brunei Darussalam. It is a small nation on the island of Borneo. Almost everybody drives here and own a car so limited public transport. They only have mini buses which cost $1 Brunei dollar regardless of distance. They have a rice specialty with funny history called "Nasi Katok". Go and ask the nasi katok seller the real history you will be amazed. It is kind of hilarious. Inwalked 10km on foot to a local restaurant because there is no public transport or ride hailing app there. A stranger offered to hitch me a ride. Hahahaha They say that area have a lot of foreigners and it's not safe to walk long distances. Brunei is like a mellow City that have thick densely covered jungle surrounding it. No night life but the Natures are the bomb. All well preserved.

Brunei: A Hidden Gem of Flavor, Scenery, and Warm Smiles
Brunei might be small, but it packs a punch with its unique blend of food, stunning landscapes, and incredibly friendly locals. The food here is a delightful fusion of Malay, Indian, and Chinese influences. Must-tries include ambuyat (a sticky sago dish) and nasi katok (rice with spicy fried chicken and sambal), which locals eat like it’s going out of style! Beyond the plates, Brunei’s scenery is breathtaking, with lush rainforests, crystal-clear rivers, and the awe-inspiring Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque that looks like something straight out of a fairy tale. And the people? Humble, polite, and always ready with a warm smile, making you feel instantly at home. In Brunei, you’ll find beauty, taste, and charm at every corner—it’s a small country with a big heart!

🇧🇳Brunei/Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque
📍The symbol of Brunei! Commonly known as the Old Mosque
🌟Please note that the hours during which you can visit are quite limited, but it is a wonderful and beautiful building. It is also a symbol of Brunei and is located in the center, so it can be seen from anywhere in the city. The Old Mosque seen during the day and at night is completely different, so please go there once! The design of the streetscape is also beautiful.

Kitaro: A fresh delights in Brunei
It is located at the Yong Siong Hai Building in Kampong Gadong, Brunei. Kitaro Japanese Restaurant is a culinary gem offering a delightful Japanese dining experience. My visit to this establishment was a celebration of fresh flavors and warm hospitality.
The standout at Kitaro was undoubtedly their fresh Sashimi, particularly the tantalizing Salmon and Tuna. Each slice showcased pristine quality and exquisite taste, embodying the essence of authentic Japanese cuisine.
Another highlight was their customizable Poke Bowl, starting at a reasonable price of BND 7.80. This option allowed for a personalized culinary journey, where diners could craft their own bowl with a variety of fresh ingredients, ensuring a satisfying and unique dining experience.
Moreover, the staff at Kitaro Japanese Restaurant were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Their welcoming demeanor added to the overall dining ambiance, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for patrons.

With its array of fresh Sashimi, customizable Poke Bowls, reasonable prices, and amiable staff, it's a must-visit destination for those seeking an authentic and enjoyable Japanese dining experience.

Abode of Peace
Brunei is more than you can imagine. Ruch in culture and cheap food everywhere. Night market is very crowded with locals and even tourists! Definitely a great place to visit and enjoy! If you ever want to have a more chill trip, Brunei is the place to go! Remember to visit the parks at the heart of the city, the shopping malls are not that attractive but definitely enjoyed buying different snacks!

Brunei's Little Botanical Garden
Brunei has many botanical gardens, including the Royal Botanical Gardens of Brunei, the Tasek Merimbun Heritage Park, and the Brunei BioInnovation Corridor.
The following photos were taken at the Brunei BioInnovation Corridor.
There is a huge glass botanical garden here, where a variety of flowers are planted. In addition, there is an animal farm that houses a group of beautiful deer, as well as peacocks, ostriches, and other various animals.

Brunei Royal Polo Club
The Brunei Royal Polo Club is a well-known venue. It boasts excellent horses and top-notch polo equipment.
The Brunei royal family has a deep passion for polo. The club may operate on a membership basis, and tourists visiting the Brunei Royal Polo Club can only watch from the periphery. However, they can see the magnificent horses on the polo field and polo enthusiasts swinging their mallets, experiencing the high-quality life of the nobility. The club's architecture and decorations are also quite exquisite. For example, there might be four gold-inlaid arch pillars at the entrance supporting a massive crystal, emitting dazzling colorful light.

Named after Hassanal Bolkiah, the 29th and current Sultan of Brunei, the Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque is the largest one in the country, spacious enough for to accommodate 4,000 worshippers at a time. Using only the finest materials imported from all over the world - Philippine hardwood, Italian marble, Persian carpets, and of course, real gold for its 29 domes, the main hall is also fully equipped with strong air-conditioning, turned on 24 hours daily 🫢

So excited to share my very first time flying with Royal Brunei Airlines. We have a wonderful experience flying with this Islamic airlines. Everything was so nice! The stewards and stewardess are so friendly and welcoming, the airline foods are so delicious and the legroom in economy class also quite spacious.
