Zhangye West Railway Station
The room is very clean and very comfortable. In addition, every guest is given a foot bath bucket and white fungus and red date porridge every night👍👍 I recommend everyone to stay in this hotel when going to Zhangye to see the colorful Danxia.

Very satisfied, the price is not expensive, and they also gave us fruits and yogurt. The service attitude is particularly good. There is also airport and high-speed rail station pick-up. The driver was very enthusiastic. He sent us to the station and gave us local specialty steamed buns. He also insisted on sending us to the station! This may be the most welcoming hotel I've ever stayed in! The front desk also gave a small gift!
Suyun Village

A large courtyard with a very rustic feel, very cozy, with cute cats and dogs. It was already late at night when we arrived. Thank goodness the boss for waiting for so long to help us check in. We dined here the next day. Four of us had copper pot hot pot. We were very satisfied and the seasoning was very fragrant. Tutu looked at us eagerly under the table while we were eating. It was so cute!
Wangshan international Hotel

You can see the Qilian Mountains from your room! There are hot drinks in the lobby, boiled rock sugar snow pear, red dates and wolfberries, as well as melon seeds and peanuts! The room was big and comfortable. We also provided a midnight snack at around 8 or 9 in the evening - rock sugar and white fungus soup, which was super delicious! We were waiting for the train with our children, and the manager arranged a late check-out for us, so we were able to rest in the room for two more hours. It was so heartwarming, thank you very much! It's only half an hour's drive from Qicai Danxia, the location is very convenient, there are also good hotels around, which are within walking distance. In short, this hotel is amazing👍🏻
Hanting Hotel (Dazhong Lane Branch, Zhangye Road Pedestrian Street, Lanzhou)

Zhongshan Bridge/Xiguan
This is a very nice hotel right on a pedestrian street lined with food stalls and restaurants. At night mobile food carts get rolled in and positioned along the center of the street adding yet more food choices! In addition to this, just a short walk away is a huge pedestrian shopping street along with an underground shopping complex accessed through street level escallators. Although the hotel is on a pedestrian street it is really just about 3/4 block from a street with vehicle access. This hotel is a bit difficult to find though, because individual street address numbers are difficult to find. The best thing is to look for a huge Hanting Hotel logo on the right side of the pedestrian street as you head up from the traffic street along the river. The sign is blue with a white horse! The entrance to the hotel itself looks more as if you are entering a coffee shop because of the street entrance signage. But power past all the tables for people having coffee, and you can find the hotel front desk at the back. As mentioned before, the hotel is quite close to the Yellow River and just a short walk to the ”Iron Bridge” (AKA Zhongshan Bridge) and all that neighborhood offers! One drawback to the hotel is that to get into the entrance there are some narrow steps. Level entrances are always best! Yet, I would definitely stay in this hotel again! (And when you are in Lanzhou, be sure to try Lanzhou Beef Noodles!)
Dunhuang Baiwen Hotel

Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring
The location of the hotel is easy to find, it is very convenient to take a taxi anywhere, and it is close to several attractions in the city. Facilities: The facilities are complete, mainly the hotel room is equipped with a humidifier, which is very considerate for people who are not used to the dry weather in Dunhuang. Hygiene: The bedding, bath towels, and bathroom are very clean. After staying in the room and going out to play, the room will be cleaned and the bath towels will be changed every day. Environment: Very quiet, very good rest. Service: The service is in place, and they will ask in advance whether you need to bring breakfast or beef noodles across the street. A hotel with a relatively high cost performance, I will choose it next time I come!
Runhu Holiday Hotel

Bell Tower
We stayed 4 nights at the Runhu Hotel while we visited all the tourist attractions around Zhangye, including trips to the Gobi desert, Ping Shan Hu (Grand Canyon), the Alien Valley and other sites. The hotel - which is clean, spacious and quiet - has motivated employees who are happy to meet any request. The restaurant is actually very good with reasonable prices the buffet breakfast also was varied and of very good quality. The hotel also provides such services as nightly warm milk deliver and a foot soaking tub with epsom salts with no extra charge. The hotel also referred us to a driver with his own very nice and well kept car. He, Mr. Li, went way above and beyond what anyone could expect. He provided snacks, fruits, water and some sort of local soft drink and arranged tickets in advance where reservations were required and made sure to adapt those reservations when the weather closed one of the sites. His recommendations for local food at or near the various sites were also spot on. While the places were simple (and very inexpensive), the food was honest and good. You can bank on Mr. Li to make sure everything goes along smoothly. All you have to do is tell him what you want to see, or ask him for recommendations, and he will do the rest. In short, splendid hotel for the price with terrific service and if you need a driver, Mr. Li is your guy!
Dunhuang Right Here Hotel

The hostel is just down the canal a little from the centre of the city, an easy walk. The bus to and from the railway station is less than 500 metres away (ignore what Google maps tells you, they'll take you to a toilet in the wrong direction, use the Trip.com map, and click through to Google maps to get it right). Go a couple of km the other way and you're at the Dunhuang Museum. There is plenty of space downstairs to hang out, they sell a few cold drinks, and might even make coffee - they have the equipment). The rooms are on the second and third floor, no elevator. My room, #304, was quite rustic and not very big, but had a small table and adequate bed. The shower was just far enough away from the toilet that the floor there stayed sort of dry. Air con did struggle a bit with the 40 degree heat.

Bell Tower
It's a great hostel! Really clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is really nice. On top of that it is well located. I highly recommend this hostel. Comment written by a French traveller.
Hexi Corridor Grand Hotel

Shazhou Market
We got free upgrade to the suite so that was nice. Very pretty river view and not as noisy as some of the reviews I've read. Probably because the weather was getting chilly. Room was very spacious, even for just the size of the bedroom alone. Bed was comfortable and not too soft. But I will say that the light switches in the rooms and also the smart toilet seat were very confusing. Strangely, it had a large bathtub area, but a separate and very squished shower closet. The water didn't quite drain properly also. Breakfast was okay. But considering how the city really is just a town in the desert, I'd say it's actually pretty good. The local restaurants are also options, but we had to get up super early for day trips, and didn't feel like freezing outside to look for food when it's still dark. Side note, the night market in town is nice but not much going on outside of that area. The hotel is not in the city centre, but since the city is small, taxi is the way to go. We actually end up just getting the phone number of one of the taxi driver, and called her whenever we planned to head out. I chose the hotel based on aesthetics and was not disappointed. But our suite was in the end of a very long hallway, so get ready to walk if you are not near the elevator.
