Liuba Houses

Superb quiet location, close to Gerakas Beach and Porto Roma. The pictures you see of the accommodation don't actually do it justice. Wonderfully looked after by the owners, nothing is too much trouble for them. We will be going back that's for sure!

From the moment we arrived at 10:30pm, and were met by the owner George, at Villa Christina, we felt very welcome, and at home. This is a two bed-room villa, one double and one twin room, where there is a safe in the wardrobe. There was a Welcome Pack waiting for us, bread, cheese, milk, sugar, ground coffee and filters for the machine, a small bottle of home produced olive oil, water, coke and Beer, as well as some dried fruit and nuts! After looking round the villa, we were given a demo on how to turn on the pool lights (these were in use about 30 seconds after George left!) . We were asked if we would like to come to his house the next morning when he could give us a tour around the local area which, of course we did. We were shown the local tavernas, supermarkets and other points of interest and went into Vasillikos town, stopping on the way back to collect enough supplies to last nearly a week, delivered back with us right to our door. We found the villa and all its' furniture very comfortable, and the pool was crystal clear and a good size, with good quality pool-side furniture. The pool filter was cleaned morning and evening, and Georges' wife Agatha came daily to attend to the villa. The entire place is comfortably spotless!! For people with no mobility limitations, the tavernas, supermarket, and Gerakas beach are all within easy walking distance, and also, there is a scenic route to the beach which avoids the road. For getting further afield, car-hire is advisable. At this time of year, loggerhead turtles are nesting so a great part of the beach is cordoned off to protect the egg sites. The beach is clean and sandy, with the naturist area at the far left end. George and Agatha were very friendly, approachable hosts, and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a wonderful, peaceful, relaxing 2 week stay here, booked through the girls at Chalfont Holidays. Thank you to them also.

We spent two weeks at Liuba Holiday with a group of friends, and we felt right at home. Giorgios and Agatha go above and beyond to make the experience as pleasant as possible. The houses are beautiful, clean and the entire place is like an oasis with rich vegetation and plenty of shaded places to install your hammock for an afternoon nap. The location is also great, with a bunch of amazing beaches - St. Nicholas, Porto Zorro, Gerakas, Dafni to name a few. Gerakas also hosts a Turtle Rescue Center. Porto Roma is a great spot for fishing, while St. Nicholas and Banana Beach offer all the water sports you can wish for. Add a short trek to the White Sandstone Mountains, and a not so short one to Skopos Mountain and two weeks will have gone by too quickly.
