There are 3 private hot springs in the room, 2 outdoor and 1 indoor. There is a massage chair in the room, which is super good. The skin is very smooth after soaking. The food is rich. The hotel owner has a first-class service attitude and the paparazzi they raise is very cute.

The room is big enough, but the facilities are old. There are two hot springs outside the room and one hot spring in the bathroom inside the room. Always stay close to nature, where there will be more mosquitoes. The scenery is beautiful, but when you go down to soak in the hot springs, you can only see the top of the mountain. The reception staff are foreigners (Southeast Asian) and do not have the polite service spirit of the Japanese. Dinner is 70 points and tastes good. The staple food is charcoal-grilled beef and chicken, which are difficult to cook due to the strong firepower. It will be better if someone burns it at first, but then it will be better if you burn it yourself. Breakfast is 75 points, traditional Japanese cuisine. When leaving, the Japanese lady will take photos for the guests, which is very friendly.

Love this hotel! It's worth it! We contacted the hotel in advance through the Ctrip app to make an internet call to book a pick-up (there was a Chinese-speaking lady/the owner's wife who could communicate in English very smoothly). We booked a double room and negotiated the board and lodging for a 5-year-old child by phone (boarding was over 4,500 yen and udon noodles were 1,200 yen). The rooms are actually quite new, much newer than the ones in the Ctrip pictures. What I love most is that the room has 3 private baths, which you can soak in any one you want. The next day after breakfast, the owner took photos for everyone and printed them on the spot. It's only a few steps up from the hotel to the mountain, and the air is especially good in the morning.

The clerk is very polite! The English answers are very fluent! The hot spring hotel has a clean environment and a comfortable stay The food quality for breakfast and dinner is good! There are so many types and portions of food! I was lucky enough to be arranged to dine in a room with a view. The private bath is great for taking photos!  In the end, the clerk was very considerate. He took a photo of my husband and me at the hotel entrance and printed it for us. Very good value for money! Will definitely introduce friends!

All staff can speak English and are friendly. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, and it was nice to have multiple baths. I especially liked the large communal bath because it was actually a private bath.

The environment is clean, the location is secluded and quiet, the waiters are very good, the breakfast and dinner are delicious and the portions are sufficient. Each room has three private pools. There is no difference between public baths and private baths. I will definitely go there again next time.

The room is very Japanese-style, and the private and public baths are both unique. The public bath in particular has a great view and a pleasant view of the mountains. There are not many hotel rooms, so the public bath is also very quiet. When leaving the store, the boss took a group photo and took a photo, which was great!

Some of the staff could speak English, so it was convenient, and the pick-up service was quick and good! Above all, the open-air bath and view in the room are the best!!

The second time I stayed at the B&B, it was always good. The food provided by the boss is delicious and there is so much that I can't finish it. Service and view are very good

Hotel’s room has three private onset. Two is out side and one is inside all are good. Food service at restaurant’s private room quality is good. The best of this hotel is the service. Our server is Ms. Darali from Nepal. Her service is second to none. Our train is very early in the morning.she serve our breakfast and take care our Luggage and arrange driver sent us to station on time. If we have chance go back we’ll ask Dalari to be our server.

From Hells of Beppu we drove 1.5H to our isolated, small minshuku in Yufu. There only about 5 rooms with some up the hill. We hear from friends that the best hot springs onsens would be in this Beppu-Yufa area. This ryokan is rustic and not too fancy, but the service and food are undeniable. One lady staff person spoke near perfect English, while another spoke Mandarin. There is also a remoteness. I walked in several directions from here. There's no shops, Lawsons, 7-11, or restos immediately. I did find a resto where I bought mochi (alas, no black bean filling, or anything). There are persimmon trees with orange fruit along the road, but I didn't take any. The singular most reason I like this place is that, for the first time, I had 3 separate hot springs baths in my room -- two outside in the balcony and one near the tub. Talk about privacy and availability. Perfect, especially with the cooler temperatures! The kaiseki dinner was outstanding with abalone, crab, and plenty of fish sashimi. Asian pears were served. They are in season now. Breakfast in the small dining room with one table was also brilliant. We had two low beds which were difficult to enter in and out since hardly any walking space adjacent to the beds. When we departed, the owner-manager took a photo of us at the doorway. This is a very desirable ryokan if you like remoteness and a high level of service and cuisine.
