For men, there is already a １ or a small open-air bath that is hot and can be used by the bridge. I stayed in the main building. It is a building with a considerable age, and although it is undeniably old, the toilet has been renovated and cleaned well. The dishes were basic plans, so there were no high-class ingredients, but I was satisfied with the contents that I could feel politeness. Finally, the response of the employees was very good and made the impression of this inn very good.

An inn like a pension rather than a hotel. There are only tourist spots, and the room rate is set high, but the bath was reserved and it was great to take it freely when there were no people. It is small, but clean and close to Lake Kinrin. The difficulty is that there are few places to eat at night. However, since there is a convenience store nearby, it is also an ant to take out and eat in the lobby.

There are few amenities in the dressing room. [Meal] Private room in the dining hall with evening breakfast. Dinner and Bungo beef steak were soft and delicious. When I entered the private room, I was already prepared for sashimi and baked fish on the table. There may be corona measures, but the baked fish was cold, so it was a little disappointing. There was breakfast, hot tofu and specialty ryukyu. There was a matcha and sweet service at check-in. It is good to spend a leisurely time walking to Lake Jinxi. I just felt that it was not as expensive.

We made a booking directly with the hotel (Google translate). Communication wasn’t very prompt and last email was never responded. But it was ok. Our request for ground floor room was granted. Room We booked a western twin room. It was small with no cupboard, only 2 hooks. Besides this, it was clean and came with attached toilet. Bed was comfortable as well. Facilities Nice public Onsen - large. A pity no view at all to speak off. I didn’t use their 5 private onsens since they were not attractive. Free beer, coffee & tea. Really pretty courtyard, especially in the evening with the kerosine lamps. In the daytime you can see there are room for improvement. Location Excellent, very close to Yufuin’s major attractions like the lake, shopping street and Floral Village. Yet it is located along a quaint canal with great view of the paddy fields and mountains. Not very convenient for walking from the station though due to the non-tar road in immediate vicinity. Taxi fare was reasonable - ¥710. Services Not the friendliest. Staff did bring us to our room, detouring to show us the onsens. However, quite grumpy. After check-in I asked for assistance to book a local restaurant. They won’t help. Food We changed our booking from half board to no meals after our requests for some food tweaks were refused. Conclusion I would return for their location, ambience, good value and the free beer/coffee 😁

I stayed at ”yamachahana” for one night from October 15th (Sun). It has a very moist and calm atmosphere, and you can see Mt. Yufu in front of you from anywhere, and it is a 7-8 minute walk to Yunotsubo-dori and Lake Kinrin, so it is perfect for enjoying Yufuin while holding a basket. I think it's an inn. The rooms are very large and luxurious, with living rooms, bedrooms, hot springs and terrace separated. What I was worried about was that the distance from the next room was close, so I could hear the voice of the next room, the lighting was too dark overall, the rain leaked on the terrace, and the bed was uncomfortable. [About Onsen] The room has a stone indoor bath that two people can take slowly and a semi-open-air bath of wood for one person, so you can enjoy bathing at any time 24 hours. It was a simple spring, but it was a little numeric and it was a very pleasant hot spring. The hot water temperature was just right. [About meals] Japanese kaiseki dinner was served in a private room, and American breakfast was served for breakfast. The dishes that I feel particular about the appearance and vessels are very delicious dishes that stimulate the five senses, and I felt the level of Yufuin, but compared to that of a long-established luxury inn in Yufuin, I want you to do your best a little more. However, I think it is a big plus point that a certain drink was served as a free drink at dinner. [About service] The staff are all young, but I was able to tell that they were polite and hardworking, and it was a good service. Also, the service that allows late check-out until 13:00 at 2,200 yen per hour was a nice service for the cherry blossoms. However, I was confused that there was one male staff member who didn't know anything at the front desk.

How cost-effective it is. Small business. There is a pick-up service after 3pm. We will take you to the station when you leave. There are only 6 rooms. Basically no one is using the public hot springs. You can go in at any time. It is no different from private ones. The meals are like family dishes. There are Mandarin-speaking work-study students. No need to worry about communication problems.

Fortunately, the surrounding environment heals and does not affect the overall travel mood. I needed to take a car, and I didn't explain it in advance. It is very similar to a simple ABB standard hotel, which is very different from the expected hot spring hotel. It is also far from the station. The advantage is that it is very close to Jinlin Lake. Get up early and go for a walk. The environment of the town is so beautiful The attitude of the service staff is very good. After 9 o'clock, they get off work and ask for self service. At this price, I can't complain, and I won't choose it next time

All aspects are very good. My husband and I are very satisfied. Although there is no courtyard and the location is a bit far away, it is worth it. The hotel will have a special car to pick you up. Just call in advance to confirm. First of all, I was very satisfied with the location! It was nice that it was close to Yufuin Station and the bus terminal haha. And the owner was friendly and could communicate in English, so I was guided well! Above all, I went because of the hot springs, but they said that the family baths can only be used if a “child” is included..! We couldn't use the family bath because it didn't meet the requirements, so we used the public bath. However, since the public bath is only used by ryokan guests, we were satisfied that our family could use it almost privately for two days. In particular, I brought a grandmother in her 80s with me and she really enjoyed it! I requested breakfast, and I was able to choose between 8:00 and 8:30, and it was a really neat and clean Japanese home-cooked meal! I stayed for two days and was satisfied with the different types of side dishes and drinks. It seemed like they paid a lot of attention to hygiene, and I felt like I was treated well, so it was a really nice place to stay. Next time I go to Yufuin, this is a place I want to stay again! ☺️
