The Victorian Barn, Self-Catering Holidays with Pool and Hot Tubs, Dorset

Fantastic stay with 2 boys (5 and 11). We loved the swimming pool, especially being able to book a private hour each day. We also made good use of the hot tub, games and activity rooms. Everything was clean and well maintained. Great base to explore the Jurassic Coast!

We had a wonderful few days at the Victorian Barn. Such peace and quiet I’ve not heard in many years. Wild life visiting daily. Lakes for fishing. British countryside. We enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub daily and just relaxing on the patio. Thank you Victorian Barn for a unique experience.

The Victorian Barn was set in a beautiful scenic location. I enjoyed many morning walks. Our accommodation was modern & clean. I loved it and so did my children and family! To get to local shops, pubs & amenities it was a minimum of a 20 min drive but that didn’t bother us. It’s nice to be out in the sticks. That’s the whole vibe. The local pubs have great food. You can get a good delivery from Tesco.

The Victorian Barn’s fantastic facilities suited everyone in our family group (from a 2 year old to 75 year olds!). The pool is a perfect temperature and it’s lovely to be able to book sessions just for your group. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and well equipped. Every query we had was answered immediately by the friendly team. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Great place to stay for a family. Was wonderful for the kids to get away and have freedom after lockdown. The owners were very accommodating and helpful and even left a card and box of chocolates for my daughter's birthday, which she loved. The kids loved the pool and the games room was great. The surroundings and views were beautiful. It is literally in the middle of no where and perfect to get away from life and chill in peace and quiet. The cottage was large which was great with 4 kids. It was quite sparse and a little dated but very clean. The upstairs was bright and bedrooms lovely. The bed was very comfy and bedding and pillows sumptuous. The hottub was wonderful. Hot and bubbly and perfect for relaxing early evening and taking in the views and peace and quiet.

We hired the whole site for our yearly and last rugby tour for our u17/u18s group and parents. We had the best time. Clare was fabulous helping us through the booking process and seeing to anything we asked for,whilst there. The hall is a great space for coming together and the grounds are so picturesque. There's plenty to do swimming pool /sauna & games room and they are all looked after very well. We hired a silent disco ,which Clare took delivery of and waited for the pick up too,nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a great stay.

The facilities at the barn suited our large group needs perfectly- we chose not to have all tbe hot tub which on reflection wr should of but for us this eas a price issue on us not the barn.

I booked The Victorian Barn for my best friends hen weekend, and we were not disappointed. Firstly, Claire and Penny are so helpful! Prior to our arrival I had some questions and was looking for recommendations of place to eat out in the local area. They emailed me places to go and how far it was to get to each of them. On arrival the accommodation we had booked had had a leak (the rain was torrential that day) so we were upgraded to a bigger property. The property itself was AMAZING! Lovely and spacious, everything you could need, clean, nice bedding and pillows and lovely towels. The grounds are beautiful, lots of areas to sit and enjoy the scenery and if you have little ones with you there are things for them to do - a swing, slide and an activity centre. Our property had a hot tub, which was Devine! The pool is great, it’s big, clean, the inside of the building is great, there is also a sauna. There is nothing I would have changed about our stay! Thank you Claire and Penny, our hen weekend was really special!
