Crowne Plaza Reading East Reviews

A really pleasant and enjoyable experience. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Rooms were a good size and the food was very good. Spa facilities were really relaxing and Rebecca, the masseuse, was very good, would highly recommend her. We were also booked in for an afternoon tea which was delicious and the scones were syill warm and yummy and the glass of bubbly just washed it all down really nicely! I would defo go back and recommend to family and friends.

Lovely hotel. Service and staff excellent. Although hotel is in a commercial area, it is right next to Winnash Triangle station ( 5 min walk) where for £4 off peak return ticket, you can travel the 6 minute journey into Reading. The station is in the centre of Reading high street. Highly recommend Spa and treatments. Great stay.

No room service, not the biggest issue. One gentleman on reception wasn't the friendliest when asking questions. Hotel was super clean. Spa was lovely, a jacuzzi would make it extra nice.

The location is very good, there is a train station across the bridge, it is very convenient to go to Reading, and the cinema is not far away. The room was clean and tidy. Breakfast is traditional English. Parking is also very convenient, free parking for guests.

The environment is very good, the transportation is convenient, and the service is first-class.

The hotel is quiet and the breakfast is rich. The service at the front desk is very good. They can help you call a car. The transportation is very convenient. It only takes 40 minutes to get to the airport. The overall experience is very comfortable.

The receptionist Karen I think her name is was good, however maybe she was under staffed. I called her to send a dental kit and was told to come down and pick it myself cause there was no one at the reception at 7am on a weekday morning??? Or she would come up in 30 minutes. That is just quite terrible service for crowne plaza. Another thing to note that the spa/ gym receptionist is just simply rude, I walked in at 6:27am to check out the pool and was told that I could only get in at 6:30am!! When clearly the pool was open and it was just 3 minutes and yet she wanted the customer to wait to show what? Authority?? Really disgraceful, aside from her snide behaviour. The hotel breakfast was not good at all. Spent £15 on barely decent breakfast food and was told I could not cancel it once I have paid for it the previous day! Never heard another hotel do this before. I take so many business trips. The only plus point is that the dinner was great - room service - Indian chef, ordered the platter and food was good. The chauffeur service was also great, the driver was very nice and friendly. Dont think I'll be coming staying here in a hurry!!!

This hotel is beautiful. The bed was comfortable and the room was immaculate. Breakfast was lovely and there was a lot of choice. The pillows were too big for our personal preference and the tv in the room came on by itself in the middle of the night and woke us up. The remote was under the tv (no idea how it came on) so i had to.get up to turn it off.

Great stay , lovely hotel, convenient for the Office , good facilities, handy shop next door
