Storrs Hall Hotel

The hotel is right on the edge of Lake Windermere, with a very good environment. The hotel lobby has a very British aristocratic style, and each restaurant is very distinctive, but my favorite is the breakfast restaurant. It is so beautiful and comfortable to sit by the window, look at the lake through the green lawn, and eat English breakfast. We ordered dinner, which was also very good, especially the appetizers. The room is also very large, and we can see the lake in our room. It is very shocking to get up in the morning and look at the lake under the blue sky and white clouds. The facilities are also very good. It is a hotel that is worth staying in many times.

The bathroom is spacious and comfortable. You can choose your favorite breakfast. The front desk, restaurant and housekeeping staff are all very nice. The environment is beautiful and suitable for walking. You may encounter swans:

The hotel is in a classical building, a typical grand mansion of British aristocrats. As soon as you enter the door, you can feel the old-fashioned atmosphere, whether it is the decoration or the smell (carpet). The hotel has a great view, the garden covers a large area, and is located on a small peninsula by the lake, so there are lake views on both sides. The hotel has two restaurants, lake edge is more formal (also where breakfast is served), and there is a small restaurant with modern decoration. The dishes are very good, the portions are also quite large, and it is super value. The hotel does not have an elevator. The luggage attendant will help deliver it to the room, but you have to be mentally prepared to climb the stairs every day. Fortunately, it is not high. British hotels do not put toothbrushes and razors in the room. You need to ask for them at the front desk, but this is the only one that needs to pay for toothbrushes separately, 2.5 pounds a pair. It is three kilometers away from the center of Windermere. There is only one bus line 6 to get there, but the frequency is very rare, basically every two hours. You can either walk or take a taxi to get in and out. Overall, I am satisfied. It is also a luxury hotel ranked among the top in the Lake District, but it has a strong sense of age. The hotel is very beautiful and the dinner is delicious. Of course, the room facilities are too old. Other than that, everything is good. The old-fashioned British service is just right. Even the guests staying in the hotel are polite.

The location of the hotel is very good, the service is also good, the scenery is very good, there are historical buildings, the hotel itself is like a castle, the hotel has its own parking lot, very convenient

The environment is great. You can see the lake when you go out. It is the hotel's private lake view. The room is also large and the hygiene is good in all aspects. There is no elevator, but staff can carry luggage. But it is more suitable for self-driving friends. There are very few bus trips and you can only take a taxi. In the Lake District, there are only local taxis and no Uber.

The facilities and rooms are really bad, very shabby, the second floor floor feels like it's going to collapse when you step on it, and the sofa sinks when you sit on it. The carpet and sofa look dirty and not clean, although the hotel said they cleaned it carefully. Don't stay at a price of more than 3,000. The lobby environment is not bad, suitable for afternoon tea. Forget about the service. The white girl at the front desk is not very nice. I wanted to check out and collect my luggage in half an hour, but she didn't even look at the system and said no. Other British hotels at least look at the system before deciding, and they are basically very easy to talk to.
