Treacy's Hotel Wexford

Definitely not a 4 star hotel the street is very run down and very noisy.

We were on a national holidays 4 night break therefore some things at hotel may have been different as part of a package deal. I had booked a twin room requesting a quiet room we were given a 3rd floor family room. The hotel is situated in back streets so views are not good. We had view of boiler which did make a little noise over night but nothing concerning and I am a very light sleeper. Room - very basic and in need of some repair - we were cold on our first night so rang reception the lady came to room to set radiator but it never came on - it did warm up so no need for heating after this however the issue was trying to dry towels as they were not changed daily so had to use wet towels on a few occasions. TV hitty missy to whether it came on some days wouldn’t let us in. Full tray of coffee and tea facilities with kettle Hairdryer is in drawer along with ear plugs. Rooms are dark which can be good on a night to sleep. We twice had to ring for toilet paper as not filled up daily and it’s very poor quality. Service - mostly very nice staff. Some happier than others. Food - now here’s the 4 star rating overall as the food I would rate 5 star compliments to the chef here and the dining manager this dining room was very well ran and excellent quality. Not sure if the menu is the same for everyone who isn’t on coach trip but examples included of menu. Only pointer would have liked cold water with meals (it was tepid) and coffee was to strong for me. Entertainment / bar - entertainment was late so we only saw a little of a male singer and a female singer but both enjoyable. Nice ambiance in bar area Spa facilities - I had messaged both national holidays and hotel to check daughter could use pool and gym each morning for training both confirmed yes - when we arrived we were told it’s adults only until 9am this is the time we had to have our breakfast as told by hotel and had the excursions after this so we wanted to use before our breakfast and this resulted in not being able to swim at all as it’s adults only on evening to. Please be aware of this if pool:gym is a big factor in booking.

Clean tidy food good staff very friendly bit hard to get parked till they directed us to back carpark but very busy weekend

Really great service and great breakfast. Very clean rooms and beautiful beds. Great bar too. This will be my first choice to book when I’m next back in the area.

Very enjoyable stay in Treacys Hotel Enniscorthy, it was our first visit there in about 20 years and not much has changed but in a good way, staff mostly are excellent and very helpful, special mention to the lovely girl in the Thai restaurant who also worked in the bar after the restaurant closed, I did not catch her name but she was excellent and very pleasant, also special mentions to Mary, Nikki and Olivia on reception and of course the excellent professional General Manager Annette Quinn, staff at breakfast also lovely and very attentive, we were in a Cosy Double so knew it would be quite small but it was adequate for a weekend away, bed was comfortable and shower was very good, customers can use the Waterfront Leisure Centre across the road, you pay in and hand your receipt to reception and they will give you vouchers to use in the bar on food and drink, we went on train so did not use the small car park across the road which looked very limited on spaces but they have another car park at the back of the hotel which has spaces for about 20 cars, there is parking across the road at the Leisure Centre but this is subject to a fee, when we visited 20 years ago this car park was free but not anymore, not the hotels fault as it is the property of the Leisure Centre, entertainment in the bar excellent as always and we particularly enjoyed the 2 piece band on the Friday called No Hassle who were very good and entertaining, we had the European Menu in the Thai Restaurant on the Friday night and it was excellent, a four course menu, the coffees were excellent too and very enjoyable, breakfast was good too, the Leisure Centre was very good too and quiet so we enjoyed and staff here were very nice too, we were lucky with the weather so could do the River Walk and Vinegar Hill both highly recommended with great views at the top of Vinegar Hill, people in Enniscorthy are very friendly I must say, another nice touch with the hotel is the complimentary newspapers which you can read in the area just off the bar and reception, this was the same 20 years ago and good to see some of the old nice touches have not changed, all in all a very enjoyable breakaway and it will be definitely not another 20 years before we visit again, we will be back soon, well done Treacys, keep doing what you are doing.

This was a great place for me to stay as a 91 year old Grandma going all the way to Ireland to attend her grandaughter's wedding at Wilton Castle!! The staff, rooms, accommodations were fantastic. Even Brennan's Pub across the street were so welcoming and hospitiable!! 5 Starts across the board.
