Lovely hotel but barman tried to charge for 2 free glasses of wine and reception tried to charge for 4 breakfasts when we had only ordered 2. Other than that everything was good.

Ww have just returned home after a two bight stay here. We had a great time although the room was exceptionally hot. All staff were helpful there and on the brewyers fayre next door. The only down side is there is a free phone direct to a taxi service. We were there to go to harry potter studios. We booked a taxi for 9.15 in the morning and it arrived at 9.50 jot a good start. We were charged 25.00 for the taxi which we did not think was bad considering the distance and it being london. When we called a taxi from harry potter studios to get back we were only charged 13.50 wow what a difference in price for exactly the same journey. Take our advice do not use the free phone in premier inn its a rip off

My line manager had booked the room for me as my IHG account wasn’t approved yet by my GM and I was greeted by Zahr if I spelt that right, I do apologise if I’ve spelt that wrong, he was very friendly, he did his job by trying to figure out if I was an employee of holiday inn, which he did his checks and my information had come back correct, I left earlier that night and come back and I was still greeted with a friendly welcome from him. It’s been a pleasure to stay with the holiday inn, my room was cleaned to perfection and I’ve had no issues, Zahr deserves to be employee of the month if that’s a thing here. This hotel is right next to Watford Junction station - an easy walk round the corner. (Check on google maps and take the short cut rather than walk along main road). The hotel seems clean and modern. It is obviously very popular with people visiting WB studios (which is what we were doing). Stayed in a family room set up for 2 adults and 2 children (7 and 4). The beds for the children are the usual budget hotel foldaway types and not very sturdy but fine for one night. The room was generally clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good with a moderate selection (not as wide a selection as Premier Inn but fine for fueling up before heading off to WB). The WB shuttle bus goes from outside the station so a 3 min walk back to the bus stop. Overall a perfectly adequate and well located budget option for WB stay. We came on the train from across London. If we had come in the car I would have chosen something outside of the town centre. If you are travelling with kids and hoping to eat out in the evening after you get here (which we didn't) then you've got a bit of a walk back to the main part of town with the shopping centre and chain restaurants. The only annoying thing about the stay was the noise at night - and it had nothing to do with the railway! We were woken up by talking and doors banging in the corridor a couple of times. Whether or not it was because our room had a connecting door to another room I don't know but someone's alarm went off at 4.45am and it sounded like it was in our room. Whichever poor person had such an early start on a Friday then proceeded to get showered and dressed in a rather loud fashion and felt the need to constantly talk loudly to the rest of the people in that room. That's not the hotel's fault of course but bear in mind this is a budget hotel and the sound proofing is minimal.

We have just come back from a 2 night stay. We chose this hotel as its a 30 minute drive from Wembley and wasn't expensive like the other hotels. We arrived 2 hours early for check in however the gentleman at reception checked us in no problem and gave us access to our room. Our room was a good size with a double bed and additional pull out sofa bed. The room was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay such as an iron, kettle, hairdryer and towels. There was even a little sign in the bathroom letting us know if we had forgotten anything just let them know. Breakfast both days was lovely with plenty of choice. It did get busy towards the end but we were advised of this on check in. We didn't get back from Wembley till 3am this morning but after a quick email to reception at half 7, they sorted out late check out so we could have a bit more sleep before our 4.5 hour journey home. The staff here work so hard and it seemed to be the same 2 faces our entire 3 day stay. I honestly don't know how they do it and keep smiling. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We will definitely return.

1st time staying here 4 September. We arrived early and the receptionist was very friendly and immediately arranged that our room was clean and ready for us even though we checked in 2 hours early. She was very efficient and I noticed the next morning she was clearing the breakfast things as well as managing Reception, sorry can't remember her name. My husband is disabled so she gave us a large room with wet room no extra charge, which they certainly do in London hotels. Very comfortable and had a quiet night, no doors banging, street noise or people being rowdy. Lovely buffet breakfast, cooked well and hot. Everywhere very clean and enjoyed our stay. Lovely location next to the River, lock and little marina with lovely barges. Would visit again and recommend.

Excellent breakfast but I was charged for 2 @ £18.95 each (as I had a single room) so very expensive. On querying this I was told it was standard practice Large room although was surprised to have a disabled room when I hadn't requested one - meant that sink was low and shower was in the bath Room was cold. I was told the air conditioning had been put on for the summer and the room temperature couldn't be adjusted. Temperature control in room didn't work apart from blowing more cold air through the vents. Bathroom radiator didn't heat when turned on. Shower was lukewarm. Volume on TV control didn't work so sound very low Green light on ceiling for smoke detector kept me awake.

The room is clean and hygienic. The facilities are complete. The environment is elegant and quiet. The transportation is convenient. There are bus stops and train stations within a short walk. The service attitude is very good. The boss is very enthusiastic. It's worth a visit.

Everything needed for an overnight stay with a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. No complaints!
