Hotels near Dehner Garten-Center, Wals bei Salzburg

Booked this hotel for our ski holiday as only 60-90 mins from many ski resorts. Breakfast is amazing with lots of choice and every day had scrambled eggs and bacon plus many other options. Bus too opposite with number 4 bus running about every 20 mins until about 2230 hours. Cost for single is €3 euros. (Only take cash on buses). They also offer a day ticket for €4.50 but not sure if you have to buy this from a machine as didn’t offer on bus. You can buy a return ticket! We never had an issue with parking although the car park was often busy as the Sushi restaurant is very popular. There is also a Chinese buffet restaurant opposite called Huy Cook and Eat. ({€25). Food was good. They offered lots of raw fish and I wasn’t aware that they actually cook it for you! Rooms were cleaned every day and shower was awesome. I would have given this 5 stars but some of the reception staff weren’t very helpful. Eg. Not knowing any information about basic stuff like the buses!

The restaurant was not available and we were told beforehand so I can’t rate that. However the room size for 3 was plenty and was good for the price. The room was clean and had one larger bed a a single that were a little firm but comfortable, pillows and a blanket on each and were nicely made. A small table was in the middle of the room under a tv with on a pivot arm, so if you travel with an hdmi cable you’ll be able to access it. There were two windows/doors that were both useable and on even led to a small patio with a couple of chairs. Inclement weather kept us from utilizing this. There is also a standing fan for use and a wardrobe to keep your clothes in. The building is situated between a couple of bus stops for easy access so pick up a day pass for your duration. Using google maps will tell you which bus number to get on and when to exit the bus. The bathroom was well equipped and has an enclosed corner shower which is small (3.5ft/4ft square?) so keep your elbows in! Shower gel was provided as was hand soap at the sink. The towel rack was right about the radiator if you want to warm up your towels prior. Any time after May and you might not want to. The hotel isn’t flashy and the lobby is nice and well done. We stayed for 3 nights and tried to opt for an additional night but the room was already booked. We didn’t have any street noise and didn’t really hear any room neighbors until the last night. Thank you to the staff for their language skills!

When I was looking for a hotel for a 1-night stay in Salzburg, I stumbled upon the listing for the Hyperion and took a chance. I wasn't familiar with the Hyperion hotel brand and didn't know much about Salzburg. Now, I have fallen under the spell of both the hotel and the city. The Hyperion is a fairly new hotel and it is in pristine shape. The room is rather generously sized compared to most of the European hotels I have stayed in thus far. The bathroom was particularly good -- with an American-style shower that featured both a handheld wand and a rain shower head. The separate water closet was a plus. The technology in the room (especially the lighting tech) is impressive, if not slightly confusing. Nice touch to have the Nescafe machine and the Mozart chocolates. The bed was very comfortable. The location, next to Mirabell Gardens, was great. The hotel staff was helpful. We arrived early, and the front desk gave us tips on how to spend our afternoon, drawing out some local attractions on the map and suggesting we get a Salzburg card (we already had them). They also gave us a recommendation for dinner, but we were turned away at the restaurant, which was full. In stead, we dined at the restaurant in the hotel, which was quite nice. Service was solid. Breakfast is a tad expensive, but they do offer a wide assortment of breakfast items (hot and cold) as well as eggs made to order. Champagne was also available for mimosas. Nice touch.

Location: Very close to the old town. From the hotel through the tunnel, the left side is the horse pool, and the road is the old town. But the room rate is much cheaper than the old town, it is an excellent choice. Transportation: Downstairs is the bus stop, No. 1 bus directly to Central Station, ticket 2.4 Euro, can be purchased from the hotel reception Facilities: No air conditioning, no heating. So embarrassed: no windows, no air, open windows, noisy ** (roadside) More interestingly, the bath and toilet are separated, and the two people can stay at the time of check-in without affecting each other. There is inconvenient shopping nearby, about seven or eight minutes walk, there is a supermarket; there is an Asian restaurant at the entrance of the tunnel, the price is not known Finally, I also encountered the customer service door incident... speechless. We only stayed here for one night on our way to St. Wolfgang and Hallstatt. We picked this place because it's super close to both the train and bus stations, plus the price was really reasonable. When we checked in later in the evening, we met this friendly receptionist from Germany, but we didn't catch his name. The room was spotless, with a nice clean bathroom, air conditioning, and a kettle. The only downside was no fridge in the room, but they said we could use the one at the front desk if we needed. Breakfast on the 6th floor was awesome with great views of the mountains. Overall, this hotel was perfect for our quick stay, and we'd definitely choose it again next time we're in Salzburg.

absolutely loved my stay at this place. It's so quaint and unique, you're staying in a house instead of your traditional hotel room. The room was so big and the bed was very comfortable. Enormous bathroom & bathtub and my room looked out into the woods behind the house. Three large windows in the bedroom that let in the most beautiful light, as well as one in the toilet. I didn't get the chance to eat at the restaurant downstairs (they were booked) but it looked super cozy. My room was very quiet and relaxing, even on a weekend, despite some of the comments that rooms are noisy. Cannot say enough great things about my stay and hope to visit again!

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Hotel Das Essigmanngut. When we arrived at the hotel to we were greeted by friendly staff who couldn't of been more helpful. They gave us lots of information about the surrounding area including maps, local amenities and suggestions of things to do. The local Bus 25 was extremely convenient for us to get into Salzburg and the surrounding area and was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. There was a good free car park at the hotel for those travelling by car but we relied on public transport which was fantastic. The hotel itself was immaculate. Everything was to a very high standard and eco conscious. There was plenty of places to sit inside and out and we made use of the complimentary hot drinks machine. We had a superior two bedroom apartment which included a small kitchenette, two bathrooms and two balconies. The rooms were cleaned daily to high standard by hardworking staff. Comfortable beds, toiletries and brand new, spacious bathrooms. Breakfast has to be one of the hightlights of our stay. Would go as far to say it was the best Breakfast we'd ever had abroad. There was always somewhere to sit even on the busier weekends. There was PLENTY of choice and the food was constantly being replenished. Hot and cold options to cater for all ages and tastes. A relaxing and enjoyable experience each morning, a great way to start the day before exploring Salzburg. One small negative for us was there is no restaurant or bar facility on site. So you do need to venture out for main meals. After a day spent exploring it would of been nice to have a proper sit down meal at the hotel and a relaxing drink into the evening. But we can't express how kind and helpful each member of staff was. All in all we highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to explore Salzburg and the surrounding areas. You will not be disappointed.

This is the only negative review I am posting from our recent trip thru Austria Italy and Greece, of 8 hotels and inns. We had a 3 night stay at the Obermayer Inn, a 35 minute drive to Salzburg. The first night dinner was terrible, over salted, a mess of a presentation, meat was tough, just an overall extremely disappointing meal. The rooms were small, not a lot of space to move around, tripping over our luggage, no bar fridge, bathrooms small. Beds and bedding was very nice. Breakfasts were good, staff worked diligently to stock the buffet presentation, line up at the coffee machine, had to wait, bit of a nuisance. Third and last night we decided to give the hotel restaurant another try, unfortunately it was closed for a private event, only drinks. This was another disappointment, why couldn’t they have told us, why couldn’t they have posted notices that it would be closed? We wound up back in Salzburg, driving around looking for a suitable place to eat that wasn’t pizza or fast food. Returning to the Obermayer after a fine meal at another hotel we discovered the parking lot full and overflowing, we had to park on the shoulder of the highway 100 metres away. This private event ended after 10:00 pm and we were able to move the car into a legal parking spot on hotel property. Private event, drinks only, designated drivers, maybe, but I viewed several men leaving on their own. I believe this to be a favourite gathering place for locals, there is even a table in the dining area set aside for locals only, friendly, they smile and say hello. My brother in law who has stayed there twice before and had very nice things to say about the Obermayer, how quaint it is, Bavarian inn, now swears he will not stay there ever again. The good; the bed and bedding was very nice, the breakfast staff worked diligently, and parking was free, if you could find a parking spot.

I stayed there with my wife and 3 kids (8,5,3 years old) for 3 nights. <Good> 1,Spacious room and three single bed and 1 big bed. Cosy veranda (I know Germany have price on this space). Good kitchen and oven, microwave. 2,You need to get “Chiemgau kart“ first from the reception when you arrive before going to any activity outside (you need to tell them). But reception closes very early, like 17 oclock. 4,You have sauna. Follow the instruction if you are not famillier like me. 5,From the accommodation, you can go many activities. We went Hirshart Austria, tire slider in Inzell, Inzell city center, Hochfelln cable car (this is amazing, again really amazin!). 6, No restaurant inside facility but several restaurants and supermarket available. You have good kitchen. 7, Washing machine in common area. <not so good> 1,Pool was cold and not so big (use sauna instead). You have public pool and sauna in 5 min walk, which we used (can use I). 2, The design in the shower space was something wrong and I suppose non-german designer made or construction work made it with alcohol???
