Even Hotel Waco - University Area

Overall, my family and I were pleased with our stay. Our room was clean, roomy, and inviting. The front desk staff were very friendly and professional. My only issue was our dining experience. I was excited to try the hotel breakfast after seeing great reviews about the food, but our experience was pretty disappointing. There were only two other tables of customers on 10/12/24, but everyone waited a long time to get their drinks and food. Our food was cold and our waffles were tough. The woman taking our order was rude and loudly kept complaining that she was the only one working. We could hear her throwing plates in the kitchen and arguing with the front desk attendant who was helping her. It was a really uncomfortable situation and an unpleasant way to start the morning. We obviously didn’t go back for breakfast the following morning. If we are in the area again and decide to stay here again, we’ll make sure to steer clear of the dining area.

The decor is amazing and has a warm feel. My family enjoyed dinning in at the restaurant. The baked shrimp was so good and just enough. The kids had some wings which were also very good. Like chicken off the bone good. Our room was spacious on the top floor with a pool view. We enjoyed the hospitality and we be staying again.

Highly recommend staying here at EVEN in Downtown Waco. Marilyn and her staff are incredibly generous and friendly. My son and I love the location as it was a wonderful walk along the river from the hotel to McLane Stadium. Every thing we needed was within in walking distance from the hotel. Very clean and modern decor. Will continue to recommend this place to all our friends and family.

Just across the river, but in view of &/or easy 5 minute walk to Central Downtown. Attractive new property with professional & helpful staff. Nice pool area shared with next-door-same-owner Cambria Suites property. Attractively furnished lobby with restaurant & full evening bar service. Appreciate the NO carpeting & natural floors in the rooms. So much nicer than dirty carpeting still found in 90+% of most hotels. Nice size rooms with bigger than normal bathrooms with good lighting than what is found in most moderately-priced chain properties. Excellent housekeeping which will hopefully continue as the property ages. Will not hesitate to return.
