From the time we entered the door to the front desk, we were greeted with such a warm greeting from Brian, Me and my wife hit it off talking with Brian, such a really nice guy and that really matters when you go somewhere and it feels real, not a fake forced greeting from a bigger chain. He was able to get us even a better deal then we had originally got from some other booking site. The price was excellent and affordable. We stayed the week of 9/22--9/27. The rooms were nice and spacious and clean, we had a king size bed on the 5th floor, also had a great ocean view and we would watch the fighter jets fly by. The one thing I would suggest is a suitcase rack to put the suitcases on. We had plenty of towels, there's a mini-fridge and a microwave, A/C worked nice too. Breakfast was a continental, if you wanted something else, you could easily walk a few blocks to Pocahontas Pancakes. We would stop in and say hi to Brian and ask him for suggestions on where we can go for fun or sightseeing and look for antiques, he gave us a bunch of things we can do, one of them was going to the lighthouse Cape Henry at Fort Story which is on a military base, very cool place to go, it has 2 lighthouses, one was built in 1792 and the second one was built in 1881 because the other one wasn't stable enough. We visited probably about a dozen antique places all around Norfolk. They just had the Neptune Festival and we ended up staying an extra day because of the rain the day before, Brian was able to switch out our room to a different one because our room was booked for someone else that was coming in, we were so glad he was able to accommodate us. There should be more ”Brian's” like him who make you feel comfortable and welcoming like he does, Keep up the good work Brian, Thank you for your kindness to me and my wife during our stay.
