Just want to put it out there about the amazing Hotel Sorli Emocions set in the outskirts of Barcelona. My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting this hotel whilst attending the Spanish Grand Prix. The hotel is located about 35 minutes from the track, with a caveat depending on traffic, which increases significantly depending on the time you leave the hotel to go to the track. The hotel is very contemporary in its design only 2 floors, rooms are spacious and well appointed, depending on what side of the hotel you are, some have Mountain View’s others sea views, on the first floor there is a large sun terrace and a swimming pool for cooling off. The hotel is built above a very nice large classy shop, a sort of mini John Lewis, lots of things to spend your money on. It also has a really great restaurant as part of the shop, with both dining inside and outside. The food is delicious, with an excellent choice of regional dishes, it has its on delicatessen where Jamon and charcuterie and cheese are prepared fresh to order for the restaurant. They also offer a variety of delicious desserts, you won’t go hungry. Breakfast is served off the reception in a comfortable dining area, it’s a truly continental breakfast, excellent choices of cheese and meats, fresh bread, fruit and pastries and excellent coffee. The staff at this hotel are extremely accommodating, especially Miriam, Alfons and David who cover the reception nothing was to much trouble, very helpful and friendly. The breakfast team were also very accommodating. I would also say the stars in the restaurant were Agnes and Ismael, quality service nothing was too much trouble. If we attend the Grand Prix again we would definitely stay at this hotel. A car is definitely required for getting around as the hotel is in a very nice residential area, the Barcelona airport is roughly 35 to 40 minutes. Great stay enjoyed every minute.
