Santana Hotel & Spa is in reality a trap for the guest. Because of the lack of maintenance of the hotel AN IRON BAR FELL INTO MY FACE AND HURTED ME. I asked for the reeibursement of one night and Santana hotel offered instead a discount for the eventuality of me comming back. I do not live in Portugal and would not return to the hotel exactly due to the events and the hotel's refusal to recover its lack of care and respect for the guest who suffered an accident on its premises thanks to the lack of maintenance through a refund of the night, which would be what any establishment that cares for its image, reputation and guests would do. Also, during the heat wave that was taking over Portugal, THERE WAS NO AIR CONDITINING ON MY ROOM and I lost my night and my day of work. The hotel refused to reimburse my night.

During my stay at Villa C Boutique Hotel, my experiences were positive. The hotel was very clean and the surroundings were pleasant. The service was good, although there are small areas to improve. The facilities were at the right level, which provided a comfortable stay. I recommend this hotel for people looking for a quiet place for a rest.

We always find ourselves very warm in the hotel during our stays, but they should watch the Spa a little, because it is supposed to relax and not listen to people making noise. for the rest there is nothing to add, for us very well

A magnificent 3 stars, with service quality of 4, modern, very well located, with excellent rooms, very comfortable, well equipped, with many technological resources. Breakfast rooms are large and bright and high quality breakfast, without defects, with a variety of and permanent rest. There is a very friendly and available staff. Private parking and excellent access. To repeat.

The reception was not very friendly at first and we were informed that we can't actually check in anymore. Check in is possible according to the reception until 17:00. According to Trip.com until 21:00. We travel at 19:00. The receptionist on the day of our departure was very friendly and gave us a patch on demand. Unfortunately he didn't know anything about the fact that pilgrims who are on the way to Santiago are exempt from the tourist tax. The location is beautifully green and quiet. The air on the hill is very clear. The rooms are very good and modernised.

We stayed here for only one night since it's close to the airport. We arrived around 1am and the check-in was easy and fast. Comfortable, modern and clean room. Very quiet surroundings and extremely friendly staff. Slept like a baby. Would definitely stay here again if needed.

Due to price and proximity to the airport, I chose to stay here for a night while waiting for my flight back to the USA. Why due to price, might you ask? Well, doesn’t 63 USD sound amazing, especially since neighboring hotels were selling in the hundreds that same night? I tried booking that young-adult discount rate online prior to arriving at the property, which I knew was only available for purchase on the official hotel site but assumed I could easily get at the check-in counter as well. The site was down or not accepting my bank account for whatever reason, even after clearing all fraud protection freezes and things like that. Please know that when I say the following, I’m not putting direct blame on the individual staff members at Stay Hotel Porto Airport. I’m putting blame on the larger system. BUT it still needs to be said. I wish the staff could have quickly given me the $63 rate at the check-in counter, KNOWING I was having trouble with the website/app and should’ve been entitled to it with a better payment method. By the time I tried and tried and tried to get the rate to go through, the $63 rate had expired and the next best option was for $81, still exclusive to the app. And sure enough, know what happened when I tried paying for the $81? Still no luck. When the clock struck midnight, all hope was lost for a cheaper rate—the app reset its prices to the next night, and I had to pay a rate of around $100 at the counter to get a room right then. A valid argument could be to ask why I’m this picky about the prices, since when viewing it macroscopically, the differences aren’t that extreme. But I was traveling on a VERY tight budget. Every little amount counts a ton. And being at the end of my trip, my finances were in jeopardy more than they’d been at any other point in Europe. So I lost out on 40 bucks, which adjusted for non-backpacker inflation is 400 bucks. Or more. The last thing I’m going to add to the unfortunate pricing situation is one where I feel arguably the most disappointed about. Yes it’s apparently company rules not to book rates over the counter that are supposed to be booked online. But I didn’t feel that sense of sympathy or apology from either of the two employees at the desk. They were kind and friendly enough, which was expected—but when something goes wrong out of the customer’s control, I also expect clear, explicit concern and care to be verbalized. I don’t think they really “cared” that I missed out on a cheap rate because their company’s app payment portal malfunctioned. One of the ladies even told me (when I asked if this was a common issue with foreigners) that this scenario occurs roughly once each WEEK, which she labeled as not very common…but I beg to differ. I’m not saying they should fix the app issue…but they should’ve given me something like an apology. All came different from planned. Initially Famalicao was planned to be the centre of football games and the surrounding cities like Braga, Barcelos or Guimaraes, as well as the Douro Valley, at the end I spent a week with Corona in this hotel. Here I can very much praise the hotel staff who could give me good recommendations for pharmacies and testing sites. Fortunately, there is a large supermarket next to the hotel. The hotel is located directly opposite the football stadium of FC Famalicao. I could look directly from the room to the stadium. The hotel is still very new and the rooms were excellently isolated to the walk and the neighbouring rooms, a huge quality feature in my opinion. The bathroom was also very modern with rainforest shower. Unfortunately, breakfast (which can be taken normally in Portugal because of lack of isolation) did not convince me. There was exactly the same every day, but fortunately I didn't have so much hunger. Free tea or coffee can be taken all day at the tea bar.

A well situated hotel on a traffic circle, with a very large dirt parking lot on the next street, just past the Burger King. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast very varied, in small servings. The bathrooms are old fashioned and the stock of towels reduced to a minimum. The staff is not very experienced - when guests arrive at 2:30 am they let them have loud conversations in the lobby, that wakes up people sleeping on the 2nd floor, and even worse, they put them in rooms adjoining those already occupied. The hotel has 9 floors and was almost empty, but they don't even have the attention to install these customers on another floor or at least leave a break room, so we only went back to sleep after 3 am. The walls are thin and the conversation could be heard perfectly. Another sample of inexperience: the receptionist who went to see why our TV had ”no signal” suggested that the maintenance could deal with the problem (a broken cable) the next day, and looked like he had heard a bright idea when I suggested he go to an unoccupied room to get an identical cable, which he happily did.
