We stayed at Villa Campestri in Aug 2023. It was absolutely delightful. The villa is set adjacent to a huge olive orchard. Beautifully manicured, lovely flowers, and extremely well curated décor, the villa was the height of our 18 days Italy roadtrip. The rooms had a heritage charm, the cute washroom was well stocked and all kinds of amenities were provided. The breakfast was a delightful spread, many of the food were home grown, the afternoon picnic basket, the serene atmosphere and literally everything was out of a romantic movie. We had excellent pizza in the evening. All in all, it was amazing. The only negative is that the room didn’t have a fixed AC, and a big portable AC machine was there, its tube had to be placed at the window for the air to flow out, and thus it was a bit of a haggle/inconvenience to place the AC at the right place and to have the window slightly open all the time. Understandable its an old construction villa, but I hope the management is able to find a solution to this.

True heaven on earth. If you want to feel like you are a king or noble Lord in the 17th century, visit Villa Campestri. We were told the place was built in 1200ad and SO many things appear as it did 500 years ago. I wish you could see my videos! The door hardware was true medieval metal and thick wooden doors. Tile floors, and ancient wardrobes and tables; books on every desk and table; BUT the luxury amenities were where needed- shower, bidet, huge sink, nice bed and tons of drawers and storage. But the true appeal to this place was the grounds and staff. The grounds were perfectly manicured with huge trees, flowers, and green lush ground cover; surrounded by an active olive trees orchard and stone/brick buildings. The estate overlooks the small village in the valley and makes you feel like a king. The service and staff were truly beyond belief. We never heard ‘no’ and ate at the restaurant for 2 dinners (superb), picnic lunch (so cute and filling) as well as a full breakfast feast. If you want to escape to another time and place, this is the place to go.

Villa Campestri exceeded expectations! We recently went there for a bar association CLE event with 25 other lawyers from Louisiana. The grounds were gorgeous and well manicured. The food and wine ser ed at the villa were top-notch. Viola and Gemma (villa owners) went out of their way to make our stay special. The rooms were cleaned daily. The olive oil experience was wonderful. We learned so much about how they make olive oil on the grounds of the villa. The staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. The only downside (if there even was one) was that the beds need updating with a mattress topper. Aside from that, everything else was on point. The villa as a whole was lovely. We had a great time.

The review from Gareth T is spot on. Villa Campestri is simply magical. So many people return which speaks for itself. The food is wonderful, the wine is fantastic especially the house red. Service is so friendly and efficient.

A perfect place with perfect hosts! Lovely in all respects. Had to travel without my wife, but looking forward to returning with her to show her in person all that I had videoed for her to see.

WOW! What a place! A wonderful place high up in the mountains with a great view. 800 year old building owned by 2 sisters, looks like a small medieval castle. They room was spacey with a lot of old furniture. We spent a couple of nights and it was really wonderful days hanging at the pool and exploring the area a bit. We also was told about 2 winerys in the neighbourhood that we visited and bought some great wines, separate recension.

Villa Campestri is simply magical. This time 8 friends were together for a week after 6 months of the stress of life in the UK. The hotel is as beautiful as ever and the food is now exceptional too. A week at VC is like being away for a month. Time flies by and one comes away rested and pampered. F A N T A S T I C. Viola and Gemma well done

This was our second trip to Villa Cmpestri. It was even more wonderful than our first trip last year. Again the experience was magical. The views were simply heavenly. The staff were as lovely as last year and greeted us as friends....they really couldn't do enough for us and made us feel so welcome and special. We were as bowled over as before with the food. Breakfast on the terrace is a fantastic start to the day. Tasty food and wonderful views. We really cannot recommend Villa Campsestri highly enough. We cannot wait to go back.

We were first-time guests assaulting the rather peaceful oasis in and around the Villa Campestri with two families of 12 incl. 8 children... the welcome was warm and our rooms (a Prestige Suite, a Junior Suite and two double rooms) were impeccable: spacious, lovely furniture and textiles, so were the bathrooms decorated and designed with taste and equipped olive oil based toiletries and a hairdryer. The entire house is equally charming and the terrace, used mainly for breakfast and lunch) offers both a lovely atmosphere and spectacular views of the charming Mugello valley and into the park and its majestic 500+ y.o. cypress. Last, but not least the pool is equally perfect, just right in size and even during the 40+°C days of last summer never too warm. Meals on the terrace are pure joy and well served by equally professional and friendly / humorous staff. The food is typical for this part of Tuscany and dominated by pasta and meat - no reason to complain here, the meals were well prepared with room for improvement. Breakfast buffet on the other hand was impeccable and leaves no wishes unfulfilled - just perfect.

Villa Campestri is spectacular! It is quite literally a Villa dating back to the 12th century and was once owned by the Medici's (or so I heard from one of the workers there). The rooms are super comfortable, beautiful, high ceilings, and it feels like you are sleeping in a museum! The grounds are gorgeous as well, there is a huge lawn to walk around, a small creek at the back of the property, an ancient Etruscan walk, a couple of hikes through the forest/olive groves, a medieval church down the street and an ancient giant Cypress tree planted by a saint. The history is absolutely insane here and everything (especially the pool) is gorgeous! The restaurant, is excellent as well! The waiter, Jesse, is a character, and their house red wine is the best I've tasted in Italy. Unfortunately they don't offer the olive oil tasting since covid, but they are happy to call you a taxi to get to town or call a masseuse in for a massage. Although, I wouldn't recommend the massage, it was too light (felt like a tickle) no English communication, and I was drenched in olive oil, but I am grateful for the experience! Gaia and Ameliano were incredible. We didn't have a way to get from the train station to the Villa (which is about 3.4 miles away) and we called the villa for help and Ameliano found us a private driver to save us at 10pm! He literally saved us or esle we would have slept in the station since taxis are only made by appointment in Vicchio! I also recommend renting a car since the town is too far away to walk to from the villa, or arrange a taxi but keep in mind you can't do a same day taxi request! Overall I hope to go back. It was a dream and the relaxing Tuscan experience we wanted! I won this trip on the Price is Right and I am so glad I ended up at Villa Campestri.

Simply magical. The setting is fantastic. The views are simply breathtaking. The Villa itself is beautiful set in the most wonderful grounds. The owners and staff are so welcoming and helpful. The decor combines chic with informality. The rooms are comfortable and spacious . The food is delicious and fresh. At Villa Campestri time passes as in dog years. When one arrives within a day it feels as if one has been there for weeks, but when one leaves it seems that the time has just flown by. Really is a haven. We can't wait to return.

So I have been waxing lyrical about Villa Campestri for nearly 30 years. Just returned again and it was magnificent. If you think I am too prejudiced I can tell you that I took two friends who had never visited before and have never seen them so relaxed and happy, their taste buds tantalised by the wonderful food and the warmth of service. Their faces ached from all the smiling and joy. If you lie the atmosphere of Benidorm this is not a hotel for you If you want beauty and tranquillity and the freshest of air book as soon as you can.

Only the view the nice, we don’t talk about the rest: Pool stinks like a toilette in summer. Rooms get cleaned badly and in the Restaurant you fell asleep between the dishes. Total overhyped place and not worth to go there. I don’t want to as more.
