Mother Hostel

We have stayed here twice now and came back again to experience Varanassi and the comfort and security of Mother Hostel. It's a family managed business in a convenient location. Clean and safe, the manager Gaurav is a wealth of knowledge and very helpful.

Gaurav and his sister are very welcoming, the place feels like a family home, thanks for the stay. Now, tripadvisor asked me to write at least 200 characters in my review. I'll add that they can cook you homemade Indian dishes :)

I am travelling with one of my best Friends. We didn't sleep in the hostel, because Gaurav only was our city Guide. We met hin in his hostel, which was very unique and clean. He knows exactly what he is doing and we saw a lot of hidden temples, which we safely wouldn't have found without him. Also he knows a lot about all the backgrounds and history of Varanasi. He also organized a very, very well organized boattrip on the mother ganga. All in all i would highly recommend booking him, because i felt safe and relaxed while Walking and cruising. Also he is very educated and social, which makes this guidance a nice experience. P.S.: I am very thankful he let me use a toilet without booking ;)
