Staff were very friendly and helpful. They were always on hand to answer questions. The room was excellent and I slept very well. The air condition worked very well. There was no noise from other guests that I heard or the A34, which is very close by. The car parking was great an easy to park in.

We previously stayed at this Premier Inn in December 2023 and had enjoyed the stay. I booked this break a few months ago and recently was shocked to read the negative reviews on Trip Advisor. This made me a bit anxious about what to expect. On arrival there was a queue to check in. We didn’t use the self check in machines as we wanted to request a quietly situated room. The hotel was fully booked so we were given a room overlooking the road but it wasn’t too noisy at night. The manager helpfully gave me the direct number for the hotel so that I can request a room at the rear next time. We stayed in a Premier Plus room, which was clean and well appointed. We had booked breakfast, which was excellent. Terrie, the chef regularly topped up the hot food and she warmed some pastries for me. When there was a problem with the coffee machine Sanaa from Front of House quickly sorted it. Contrary to previous reviews we would recommend this Premier Inn and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Met by Clare when we checked in who was friendly and welcoming and helped with the check-in machine. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant and we're waited on by Clare and Vicky who were both very helpful friendly and obliging. We have been here several times now since this opened and we have come to appreciate just how hard the staff here work.

Problem with the heating which the staff and manager fobbed us off about saying reset it. Three times had to return to say its not working. Left them to sort for the evening as we were going out, in our return it was not repaired, they had not put a portable heater in the room and we had to ask again whether fixed, eventually by now 10pm the manager produces the smallest portable heater i have ever seen, totally inadequate to heat the room but now too late to find anywhere else and now told fully booked. No apologies, no offer of compensation even a drink, but basically they were doing us a favour. Cold room which remained so, rubbish service, very unprofessional. All great provided nothing goes wrong, then you see how unprofessional they are. As they say, you get what you pay for! Wont be staying there again.

Premier room was everything we could have asked for. Lovely, comfy bed. Whole room spotless, with side chair and footstool, which looked new. Shower room large and clean. Iron/ironing board available. Ample storage space and plenty of tea and coffee.

Reviews of this place are all on the same pattern. Bad service. Lack of knowledge. Lack of cleanliness. Seated for dinner and wait ages for service. Due to staff talking and not interacting with customers. Ended up going to bar to order food only for staff saying they was on a break hence why they never come to table. Oh even tho they sat a few tables down talking to kitchen staff. Previously stayed here and same problem. Maybe customer training don't exist in this company

After reading some damning google reviews, my expectations of this particular Premier Inn were low. I was very pleasantly surprised, and aside from the restaurant closure in the evening (which I was warned of several weeks in advance) everything was exactly as I'd expect. The staff were very friendly, it was clean and well maintained. I quite frequently stay in Premier Inns and it is the only occasion I've witnessed a member of staff bring a diner their toast from the dreaded toaster at breakfast !

Clean, comfortable and quiet. Parking at £3 overnight was easy to book. Breakfast was great, lots on offer. Lovely lady in their restaurant who deserves a shout out…Maggie…so friendly and helpful. She made sure we had everything we needed despite it being very busy when we went to breakfast. Thank you. Lovely stay.
