Got to the hotel a little after 9 am as my flight got in earlier than expected. It was raining and cold. Was wondering if they'd have a room that early to give me and yes they did😁😃😄I was checked in immediately and given a room on the 29th floor. Lovely room with a view of CN TOWER. Nothing was lacking. Room was fully equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. All the staff I encountered during my 4 night's stay was very pleasant and helpful. I am looking forward to my next trip to Toronto in August and I will be rebook this hotel for sure. I would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks to everyone there who made my stay there a memorable one.

The entrance is NOT on Yonge street. But the location is excellent and the customer service is amazing. It’s not a new hotel but is clean and big. I didn’t get to use it, but there is a laundry room on the first floor and it’s free for the guests! I highly recommend this hotel.
The cozy semibasement apartment located in a quiet and convenient downtown neighborhood. Dovercourt Rd close to Bloor st. Less than 500 meters from Bloor street. 5-minute-walking distance from Ossington subway station. Near Korea town, Casa Loma Castle, University of Toronto's downtown campus, Royal Ontario Museum, Little Italy, High park and Ontario Lake. A variety of restaurants, banks, coffee shops, convenience stores, Dufferin mall and Galleria mall are located within walking distance. This is a basement apartment of a traditional home. The bedroom has a doulbe size bed, plus a sofa bed in living room, one more singled sized bed could be added to the living room. Shampoo, body wash, bath towels and toothpaste included in the washroom. If you have any problem with your stay, you can easily reach me by phone or messages. I also reside in the rooms upstairs if you prefer to communicate in person. This is a basement unit, if you are over 6'2, you might feel confined.

The room is nice, the service is very good, the landlord couple is very enthusiastic, they are university teachers from China in their early years, the kitchen facilities, bathroom facilities are all available, there is also a yard for free activities, and the landlord couple treated us to tea. It was a very pleasant stay, thank you landlord.

I’m a big fan of the Canopy brand in general, but I have a hard time loving this particular Canopy. It seems like it’s designed more to look great than to be great. For example, the electric controls next to the bed are unnecessarily complicated— there’s about 9 buttons to control different lights and shades and things, and it isn’t easily usable. You have to hunt through all of them and try to remember the difference between the sconce light and the halo. It’s needlessly complex and that makes it harder to use. There is also a motion-activated night light under the bed, so if you get up in the middle of the night, it shines a light for you, which isn’t great if your partner if sleeping or even if you yourself want to try to go back to sleep. The night light is hyper sensitive, so it activates even if you just lay in bed and dangle your leg down. And there’s no way to disable it. If you don’t want lights going off every time you get out of bed, you have to shove a pillow under the bed to block the motion sensor or cover up the light. I love the filtered water/ice stations (one of my favorite parts about canopy hotels!) but the ones I used here seemed a lot more temperamental than others. You have to hold your water bottle at exactly the perfect angle before water will dispense, but since there’s no instructions, you have to poke around til you figure it out. There’s no little shelf in the shower stall, so if you bring your own toiletries, you have to either put them on the shower floor or balance them on top of the wall-mounted toiletry bottles. I also didn’t love that there’s no door on the bathroom and only frosted glass around the toilet cubicle. The bed was great — very comfy — and the blackout shades were an excellent touch. Very convenient location, close to the subway. And the decor is beautiful, very sleek and bright. It just all feels like it was designed without any context of how a guest will actually interact with all these things.

We have been staying at the Old Mill on and off for many years. It is not the same as it once was. To have to order coffee and breakfast thru room service daily is a crime. Especially for how much they charge. How is it any different to offer coffee and breakfast in the Home Smith? Still need a cook and staff, either to bring it to your room or serve. Would make the stay so much better to have a relaxing breakfast and a coffee in the beautiful lobby. I understand during covid things needed to be changed. But by now, can't use that as an excuse anymore. I can have dinner in the Home Smith, no problem

During my stay in the Hilton Gardens hotel at Toronto airport mistakes were made. Let me start with my own. I didn't realize there are several Hilton hotels at the airport and took the shuttle to the wrong one. Let me tell you: Canada is not made for pedestrians and it was a cumbersome walk to the correct Hilton on foot. Also: because of the name Garden I expected a hotel surrounded by a lush garden. No such thing. It's on a bleak, grey, asphalt area with no garden or any features at all. Or do they consider the giant car parks to be ”gardens”? Another mistake by me: this being the first visit to Canada, perhaps I should be prepared better. However, the breakfast at Hilton Gardens is not suitable at all for vegans. Smoothies have cow milk in them and other options are just sweets disguised as actual food. As Canada is not designed for pedestrians, there's no supermarket anywhere and thus I went seriously hungry. Next it's the hotels turn. Hotel airports need good sound insulation to keep the airplane noise out. And indeed: not an airplane can be heard in the room. However, the air conditioning is the loudest I have ever encountered. Parking a car with a petrol engine in the room and running it would be more quiet! Luckily, the airco can be turned off. However, the frig cannot be turned off and it kept me awake basically all night. And the worst thing is: when I opened it in the morning hoping to find a mini bar, it turns out it's empty! Why waste so much electricity and noise to cool an empty space? How about just running it if in use to cool stuff? On top of the noise of the a frig a constant 24 hour droning mechanical noise could be heard in my room (#1516). It sounded like a factory or perhaps a huge aircon unit on top of the roof?

We stayed at the DoubleTree in September prior to flying to Greece and were really impressed! Everything was very clean and the decor was modern and updated. Robert, our server at the Taza Grill, was delightful to talk to, and the meal was excellent. Joseph and the front desk staff were very friendly and professional and the airport shuttle driver, Qurshi, had a wonderful sense of humour and helped to make our experience a really enjoyable one. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I recently spent three nights at the TownPlace Suites hotel in Markham, Ontario. We booked the room with our Bonvoy points, so I can’t comment on price. Markham is a suburb about 15 miles north of Toronto. We picked this location since it was near relatives we were visiting. It’s located on a fairly busy highway with various commercial businesses nearby. There is a Chinese restaurant (QJD Peking Duck), which we did not visit, on the first floor. The thirteen-story building actually holds two Marriott properties: Courtyard by Marriott on floors 2 - 8 and TownPlace on floors 9 - 14. The registration desk serves both hotels. The lobby has several areas for socializing. There also is a Bistro/Bar area. Conference rooms, a business center and a spa are off to the side. A fitness center and indoor pool are on the lower level. Wifi is free. Surprisingly, parking is not. Signs say that it costs $6 Canadian per day to park in the attached multi-level garage, but we apparently were not charged. Check-in was courteous and efficient. You need your keycard to access the elevator. TIP: There is no 13th floor; the elevator buttons go from 12 to 14! We were assigned room 915. TIP: the room was almost across the hall from the ice machine and one wall of the room directly abutted the elevator bank. While the noise was neglible, you might want to keep this in mind if you’re a very light sleeper. The room was clean and decorated in what I would call ikea style. It was like living in a studio apartment. A flat screen TV was on a two-drawer chest/dresser. A wall-mounted desk had overhead shelving, a vertical cupboard, desk chair and rollout table. The kitchen section had a sink, two-burner electric range top, coffee pot, microwave, dishwasher (!) and fairly large refrigerator. There were multiple cabinets and drawers filled with practically every kitchen item you’d need: pots, pans, dishes, flatware, soap, etc. And if they’re still something you might need, chances are you can get it from the front desk. (See pic.) A full-size closet contained an iron/ironing board. No sign of a safe. The sitting area contained a loveseat, ottoman and floor lamp. The king-size bed had five pillows. The bed was a little soft, but comfortable. It was flanked by nightstands and wall-mounted lamps with electric outlets. The bathroom was average-sized. The vanity had lots of counter space and several drawers. And a hair dryer. The shower was quite large, taking up about a third of the room. There was wall-mounted hand soap and hair/body wash (in the shower) by ALICE & Co+ botanicals. Shower pressure and temperature were fine. TIP: Don’t be alarmed when you flush the toilet - the sound is comparable to that generated by an airplane commode. Breakfast was included with the room and was served on the 14th floor. (Also requiring keycard access.) The offerings consisted of the usual combination of hot & cold items. Overall, we wer

ZZHIHUAService, environment, have nothing to say, is a very good hotel, after staying for three days, we went to the United States, always compared with this hotel, all aspects are still good for this hotel, breakfast is all cold, if it is China People can't stand the stomach.
RRyaNadiaeasiest check in process once u book, show id, and have credit card ready for 100 deposit, you get keys and off u bbgo. Try not being to miss breakfast, it ends promptly at 10 or 11 pn weekends. its the best variety and quality in a breakfaat buffet ive seen in a while. The cleaning ladies are sweet and staff are super stars🤩🤩🤩
GGuest UserThe location is unrivaled and excellent, the staff are very polite and enthusiastic, and as a ”cleanliness” I am also very satisfied with the hygiene. There are two disadvantages: the subway in room 535 is too loud, there is a subway passing through the underground every few minutes, it is very noisy! The shower water in the bathroom is too small, which is very unpleasant. Therefore, if you come again, you will definitely not choose 535 and similar rooms.
GGuest UserPossibly one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. However, I can’t give full 5 stars to Hotel St. Regis Toronto for reasons that I’ll explain later. On the subject of location, the Hotel St. Regis in Toronto is in a very fantastic location in downtown Toronto with many of the city’s main sights and attractions (CN Tower, St. Lawrence’s Market and Yonge-Dundas square) all within short walking distance from this hotel. Readily accessible through RideShare apps too. Regarding staff, they were super friendly and helpful, in our experience. We initially had some debit card issues at check-in and admittedly, we should have been better-prepared for the credit card culture in North America. Thankfully, St. Regis were very flexible and our debit card issues were eventually resolved. I’m truly impressed by how accommodating St. Regis are for those of us who are from places that very rarely use credit cards. The offer of complimentary water at check-in was also appreciated. The housekeeping team, especially the Filipinos, were very thorough, kept our suite spotless and respected guest privacy. And on check-out experience, this is where St. Regis Toronto loses points for me. The check-out process took way longer than what is typically expected especially for a 5-star location (should be <10 min but took about 30 min for us). Unfortunately, a bit of the little time we have left in Toronto was wasted. What’s also disappointing was this time, there was no offer of complimentary drinks (even tap water, which is free and generally safe to drink in Toronto) while we wait. Admittedly, the staff seemed overwhelmed and visibly stressed during the time we were trying to check-out but I hope the situation improves for the St. Regis Toronto team in the future. On the atmosphere, it was magnificent and luxurious. These two words came to mind when we first entered the lobby. The grandiose look of Hotel St. Regis in Toronto permeated the whole building, from the hallways to our suite. In terms of our room, we booked the Grand Suite which was on the 28th floor and the views from up there, especially at night, were phenomenal. Our suite was very spacious and generally had plenty of storage room. St. Regis Toronto also loses some points here when it comes to storage since we found that there was insufficient storage space for cold items and there was no freezer either. The heated floors and the walk-in shower were also fantastic. The accent wall, mood lighting, clever use of marble for the room design and chandeliers were wonderful touches too, contributing to the luxurious atmosphere of this hotel. The living area of the Grand Suite was our favourite area, especially at night. I’m going to mention the views from the Grand Suite again as they were truly spectacular. On the online engagement. at the time of writing, I found the low level of engagement by St. Regis Toronto with online reviewers here at Google disappointing. I think the hotel should make more of an eff
GGuest UserStayed 2 nights to catch a baseball game! Cons - view was a empty parking garage, a bit noisy from hallway, just could hear doors closing loudly but our floor was still nice and quiet, and the make-up mirror was broken (so these were the only real cons) Pros - We loved it, Location is Fantastic, so close to Union Station 5 minute walk, close to Rogers Stadium, CN Tower, Aquarium & Harbourfront, we went for breakfast at the St Lawrence Market, a 20 second walk and then we also had a lovely 15 minute walk to the Distillery District. Staff were sooo friendly and accommodating! We only had one meal in the Cafe/Bistro, but it was great (Breakfast) and staff were sooo nice! Beds were comfy!!! Hotel and rooms were super clean! It really was a great place to stay, we will def stay there again!
Wwanderlust123Great clean room and love the city view! Room is spacious. Nice firm bed. Bathroom is clean and spacious too! Do note that they do not have electric kettle in the rooms, so do request for one if you need one. Slightly outside of downtown Toronto approx 20-30mins drive out, depending on traffic. Got the room at a great price during Black Friday, for non peak season!
FFrankiepooThe Tv is big and with high resolution. Bed is tidied up neatly and the room is cleaned. Feel comfortable when I walk in the room. There are lotion and facial wash in the bathroom. All the furniture seems simple but great.
GGuest UserWhen I booked this it clearly said POOL There was no pool needs to be taken off the website. Room was clean, not enough towels for 4 people. There were only 2. I did not see a problem with breakfast, it was pretty much hot breaky. Sat morning there were home fries, scrambled eggs, bacon ( which needed to be cooked more so I didn't eat it ) There is a machine to make your own waffles, bread for toast and I believe hot dogs ? Muffins ( They were blueberry that is why they looked the way they did, they were not moldy ) juice, coffee, tea. There was no fresh fruit which was disappointing. 1st night wedding was awakened at 2am by the wedding party good thing they went to their rooms and settled down. 2nd night another wedding was at their venue never heard a peep. When we did come back on the Sat around 7 our room keys didn't work. Person at the front desk was apologetic and gave us new ones. Also asked for decafe and he delivered 4 pkgs to our room since there was none at breaky.
GGuest UserI want to start by saying how happy I am that the host let us check in an hour earlier since it starts at 5pm instead of the regular 3pm. This is an Airbnb type of place that requires you to put a $450 deposit for a one night stay which I thought it was very high. The location is amazing, walking distance to the CN tower and restaurants.
It is a very cute place except for the cleanliness. The place was DIRTY. We decided to not use the shower because it was full of mold and hair (picture attached), there was hair everywhere! We saw there was a washer and dryer but the washer was full of towels that yet needed to be dry so we decided not to use. There were stains in the bed sheets so we decided to lay some of our own towels on top to sleep. We also decided to not touch the kitchen because the burner was broken and we did not want to cause a fire or something like that. Over all, it was decent for a one night stay but they need to fire the cleaner because I believe it is an easy fix to be a better place to stay.
