Great lake view hotel. Viewing windows with a large field of view. The hotel has a couples cave hot spring pool and swimming pool. Great dinner at the hotel.

Booked the standard lake facing room - excellent view, right next to the lake. Room looks nicer than in pictures … could have been slightly upgraded since. Toilets a little dated but still all good. Requested for a second floor room for greater privacy. Ground floor rooms have direct access straight out to lake, but less privacy as people can walk right pass the rooms. But stairs only, no lift. Also, it would have been good to remind guests to please keep balcony door closed in evening so the midgets and flying insects don’t get in. I learnt the hard way.

The hotel is in a good location, next to Lake Taupo. There is a resident singer in the bar on the first floor. It is nice to chat and watch the sunset.
