So beautiful, I like it very much

Cliveden House is an amazing hotel and also has incredible grounds. The service is impeccable in all areas of the hotel. The food was excellent and service great. The bedrooms are excellent with beautiful views. See the photos. Book in advance!

Wonderful to experience a stay on this historic estate with so much history - much of it still in situ. Incredible house and spa with excellent and friendly service. Naturally this comes at a price and still more charges on the bill at check out but we did not regret it. Good breakfast spread although we did not feel that the quality and presentation of the hot dishes was up to the same high standards. Similarly our dinner in the restaurant - amazing setting, wines and service but we felt that the quality of the cooking food / whilst nothing bad - did not really justify the high prices charged on the A La carte menu hence this 4 not 5 star review. Otherwise a very special stay.

This was a trip to treat myself to a belated Leap Year birthday, and it was perfect in every way. I loved how attentive the staff were, the gorgeous room and warm welcome, and the lovely grounds. I felt special and looked after, and I loved walking the grounds which were immaculately kept. What a special place.

Had the most wonderful stay at Cliveden. Visited alone for a bit of rest and relaxation - as I’m a busy mum of four! The whole team were so welcoming. From the moment you hand your car keys over to the valet until you depart you are treated with respect and smiles. The actual House is full of beautiful portraits and hidden corners with antiques dotted around. I visited the spa daily and had a wonderful massage from Imogen. I very much enjoyed sitting in the hot tubs outside with the wind howling at the same time! The front desk staff were helpful and showed me on a map how to take a 2 hour invigorating walk around the Estate. I stayed at the Chinese room, which was definitely different to my usual style hotel rooms. Lots of small touches in the room showed someone had made the effort to think what someone may require for the duration of their stay. I look forward to returning!!

What an excellent venue for a meeting! My experience at the Cliveden House was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. My reception was well managed, from check-in through my suitcase being delivered ahead of me to the room. My room was large, comfortable and well appointed. The tablet in the room available to review the information on the resort's amenities and grounds was appreciated, as I was also able to read a number of periodicals offered. The meeting facilities were excellent, providing strong WIFI connectivity, as well as beverages and snacks. The young man on staff that managed our meeting, and was also a server at our private dinner Wednesday night, was very attentive and did an extraordinary job. I apologize that I can't recall his name, but he is an asset to the staff at Cliveden House. Finally, I found the food to be delicious and well presented. One of my colleagues was displeased with a white wine selection being served, and the staff quickly addressed the situation by replacing it. Yet another great example of the Cliveden House staff moving quickly to ensure our experience there was good. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at Cliveden House, and I would recommend it to anyone planning a meeting, looking for a relaxing getaway or hosting a special event.

The back massage with oil was very needed and especially well carried out. The facial by Danielle also became a continuation of the relaxation with fabulous products and left me glad that I had had 2 such professional treatments. Very impressed and would recommend this Spa to anyone in need of R&R.

Extraordinary service at the hotel, spa and Astor Grill. Had a difficult time with the airlines and they provided a nice happy respite from the troubles. Very nice room, Sebastian quite helpful, Danielle at the spa was amazing and the food was really really good. Of course the grounds are truly amazing—classic English countryside, loads of trails etc. only 30 min from LHR. Absolutely our new layover hotel.

We enjoyed a perfectly lovely two night stay. The place is full of history, charm, grace and the odd note of whimsy. Very comfortable large room, not the most updated (a bit of searching around for enough electric outlets), but the bath was first rate, lots of hot water and good shower pressure. Great breakfasts. We had booked in the Dining Room the first night and the Astor Grill the second night, but our meal the first night was so good that we went back there again. Hard to imagine a more beautiful spot for dinner than in front of a large window looking over the formal garden. All in all, excellent. But the thing that really made CLIVEDEN House stand out was the staff. From the doorman who whisked our luggage out of the car,to the receptionist, to all of the dining room staff and the spa team (special shout-out to Imogen), they were unfailingly friendly, helpful, welcoming and warm. Sadly having to leave this afternoon, but leaving feeling the way I would want guests to feel if I owned a hotel.

The customer care and service were second to none. The room and facilities were very clean and luxurious. A wonderful place to stay. A balmy summer evening walk around the grounds and River bank, complemented an exceptional meal at the Astor Grill.

We were lucky enough to go to Clivedon unexpectedly for Afternoon Tea on Friday 9 August. As always it was delight from start to finish: beautiful gardens, attentive staff and delicious food. A wonderful treat with family visiting from North America.

It almost seems too good to be true. You drive into a park lined with fountains and gardens and pull up before a massive chateau reminiscent of Versailles. Porters run up to take your bags and escort you in to a lobby that looks like something out of Downton Abbey. Get ready for the royal treatment!

Delicious afternoon tea, stunning views and fabulous service. We were unable to finish our afternoon tea within the allotted time, however, the staff kindly found us seats in another room where we could continue to catch up, whilst enjoying the remainder of our afternoon tea. It was much appreciated and we will definitely return.

We had a lovely high tea here. Absolutely delicious with stunning environment. The staff was attentive and professional. If you can reserve a window seat you are lucky as the views out to the gardens are incredible. Cannot recommend enough!
