Really best !!! I stayed in a suite apartment, the best view and the best room. I was able to cook and enjoy Taormina with the best ocean view. Even in the low season, even if there was no breakfast, they served freshly baked bread and juice of freshly grown oranges.

This hotel is a little dated but don’t be fooled. After a day, you don’t even notice. It is run very efficiently in all depts from my observations over a 2 weeks stay here. Location is great with a free bus up to the town and the panoramic views of Etna are stunning at breakfast. What makes this hotel the perfect stay is the consistency of staff behaviour. They are so helpful and friendly in all depts and at all times. They didn’t need to; be but they were. I was so sad to leave and I think i will miss that staff more than the place. Shout out to Grazia, Marco, Giacamo #dreamteam and the beach bar youngsters! Guiseppe and the restaurant gang. The amazing Salvos who effected a rescue to help a passing boat. #heros. Can’t recommend enough. See for yourself.

Sadly, excluding a wonderful lady behind reception & a lovely cleaner, this hotel at best is a 2 star hotel. Our experience has just been horrific, and I feel it only fair to share our true honest happenings. We arrived and were upgraded to a larger room. Greatly appreciated. We asked for directions to the pool, which may I point out is NOT part of the hotel, it’s a lido on the beach only reachable by a 15/20 minute shuttle bus. So the advertising of this hotel having a pool onsite is very far from the truth. I filtered swimming pool & free cancellation & there is NO swimming pool. So please do not expect one. The hotel room was warn out & needed some tlc. The curtain rail fell and landed on my head on the first afternoon, and was left on the floor for our entire stay. No attempt to fix it for us. The shower cubicle doors would not open or close easily. In fact I’d shower with them open and put towels all over the floor so I didn’t create a huge mess. Sadly on our third day in the hotel, my partner showered & the cubicle door shattered all over him. Glass absolutely everywhere. In his feet on his legs and he was bleeding too. He has scratches left on his legs and glass was still in his feet. The cleaner in shock rushed in, and a gave my partner flip flops as you could barely see any floor without shattered glass. Between the cleaner and a staff member, they cleaned the mess as if it had never happened. And we were expected to continue our day. A lady behind reception offered us a small room which we declined, as worryingly it felt also in need of some help. We continued our stay, as Taormina is full right now and left the hotel today at 12pm. Our departure was nothing short of horrifying, we arrived at reception greeted by the grandson of the owner rudely & aggressively pointing at us, surrounding us by three further Italian men, we have been told are police to ensure we pay for our damages. We did immediately as felt somewhat threatened & forced, and it wasn’t until the police heard the whole story, that they agreed this was unacceptable behaviour from the hotel & an extremely aggressive way to treat two individuals. They apologised repeatedly but we had paid the hotel & were left without any choice. The police did all they could and eventually got us a 50% refund in the damages cost. Sadly it hasn’t actually been refunded.

Before I came here, I saw comments that the money was stolen and the problem of non-sea-view rooms. I was very anxious. I was worried about whether to cancel the reservation and change to another hotel. After I checked in, I found the hotel was good! First of all, I did n’t have anything stolen, including jewelry and cosmetics placed on the outside. Secondly, this hotel is mountain side, so you ca n’t avoid seeing the mountains and the sea. No matter which room you stay in, there is no 360-degree sea view Room, balcony view can refer to the picture below, I think the view is very good; in the end, in fact, there is no saying that the Chinese are arranged in a room with a poor view, because my left side (closer to the mountain side is disadvantageous) Location) Two people live in Italy. I live in the United States with Americans on the right. I threw my pajamas on the sofa before going out, and when I came back, I saw that they were neatly stacked on the bed. Haha, I felt very intimate at once ~ If I come to Taormina next time, I will definitely choose this hotel ， Because it has an excellent location, you can walk down to the Love Island and up to the left to the main road of the town, and there are all delicious restaurants around the hotel. One of the most comfortable hotels I stayed in during this trip to Italy. The scenery is good, the environment is good, the hotel looks very new, the lady at the front desk is beautiful and enthusiastic, always smiling and talking. There is also a swimming pool. Parking is a bit far away, but drive around the road, park the car and walk up the steps to the hotel. 17 euros per day. breakfast is also good

I’ve got to say we were delightfully surprised by this hotel. We booked this place as it was nearby to where we booked our wedding. Travelling with my now husband and our nearly 2 year old. From the minute of walking through the doors we saw how truly nice and special this place was. We just booked a standard room, we were located on the ground floor and the room was a lot bigger than we expected. It was nice and peaceful even being so close to reception in room 112. It was clean, comfortable, well air conditioned. Was just what we needed. We had breakfast included in our price which was continental but had scrambled eggs, bacon, range of cheeses and meats including ricotta. Cereals, pasties and cakes all of the above was of a great standard. You could eat inside or out. The staff in the dining room are even better, gianluca, Gianfrano the waiters and the manager fabrizio. And a lovely lady with short dark hair was amazing with our son, They really made us feel welcome and special, they couldn’t do enough for us. So professional and friendly. We also spent an evening in the restaurant which the food was fantastic. Again great service here too! The beautiful garden and surroundings of the hotel are so picturesque. Nice big pool area including a kids pool. We also spent some time down by the beach bar which was relaxing and I have to mention how lovely the ladies down at the reception area of the beach/shop. Giulia and Maria, so lovely, friendly and helpful. The lobby bar was brilliant Adriano made us feel right at home, so friendly, welcoming and looked after our son if we needed milk warming up, no matter what time of day. The shuttle service from this hotel is fantastic, you pre book your shuttle up and down from Taormina. It’s free too! We loved Salvatore! He made us smile, he was lovely, helpful and genuine. We miss him already!! I have to say, the staff here are a real main reason we would want to come stay again. We live in Sheffield in England but my new husband is originally from Catania, we normally would stay with family but after this trip I know we will be back. Don’t waste any more money staying anywhere else, this hotel offers everything you want and need. Thank you for having us Hotel Caparena! See you again one day I’m sure! We were in this structure two weeks in late August with my family for summer holidays. I was immediately affected by the quality of the structure, which, despite being in a maritime context, is new, fully efficient in everything that is present in the room that proves to be functional. Only, summer holidays are an important moment of the year to load batteries and distribute with energy. The structure that hosts a family, as I see it, can be an important trampoline to start and continue with the right foot during the rest period and certainly this structure, of those I visited in the years, The costs are absolutely competitive, considering ourselves to the Naxos Gardens in Sicilia, a place of extraordinary beauty. I reviewed many you tube videos on packing for Sicily in October, forget them they are woefully incorrect. Everyone wears sneakers, Italians are still wearing white and yes they wear flip flops. Women were in shorts, tank tops and sun dresses as well as jeans. Casual attire in the most expensive restaurants in Taormina was the norm. We traveled all around Sicily from Palermo to Taormina to hill towns in Gangi. My advice wear what is comfortable for you and be respectful and polite, you will have a fabulous time.
