This was my first time using this hotel. The windows can be opened a little for ventilation. The building is new and clean. The on-site paid parking is reasonably priced at 600 yen per night, and you can enter and exit freely only on the day of check-in, which is convenient.

The hotel is right at the exit. The bus stop to Shirakawa-go and Takayama is right in front of the door, which is super convenient. Toyoko Inn is as standard, clean and comfortable as always. Check-in at the front desk is a self-service ATM with a Chinese interface. Enter the reservation code, then enter CHINA, scan your passport, and a door card will automatically appear. When checking out, just put the door card into the card slot and it's done. It's very convenient. A few steps from the hotel is the JR station, which can go to Yuqing Coast.

Let's talk about the advantages first: 1. The hotel is in an excellent location, just opposite the Shin-Takaoka South Exit, which is 50-60 meters away. 2. There is a huge AEON mall not far from the hotel, with many shops such as Uniqlo, GU, and large supermarkets and food stalls. Let's talk about the disadvantages: There is an older female employee at the hotel front desk with an extremely cold attitude. I am nearly 60 years old and it is my first time to use the machine to check in. She pretended not to see it and was unwilling to help. I asked if it could be done manually, but she refused sternly. In addition, I am a Toyoko member and could have enjoyed the right to check in one hour earlier, but she firmly refused and said that the room was not booked from their official website and could not enjoy the right to check in earlier. I hope Ctrip can communicate with the other party to improve their service awareness. This attitude is extremely rare in Japan!

It's the standard of a budget hotel, but it's my first time staying at Toyoko Inn, and the check-in time is not the usual 3:00 but 4:00, and the check-out time is not the usual 11:00 but 10:00. I can't find any other hotel in this remote place, it's a rip-off. I will blacklist all Toyoko hotels from now on.
