good overall, large room, old carpet, old furniture, next to the mountain

The Location is near to National Palace Museum and hiking trails. Although not close to MRT stations, the bus stop is right outside of the hotel and the buses arrives frequently to take us to the city. Service is friendly and professional. The breakfast is freshly prepared and the portion is just nice. We love the well-designed and well-kept laundry room, which has washers and dryers free for guests' use.

Rooms are clean, newly furnished, and super spacious for what you can get around Taipei. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast is tasty and fresh. Overall I’d highly recommend if you don’t mind being a bit tucked away outside the city.

An amazing hotel near the mountains, right next to palace museum so I enjoyed lots of days walking around with no one else there. The vibe is very well done and calming, it’s a natural wooden feel with suits the mountain scenery. The staff were amazing and always doing their best to check in with me. Of course it’s a bit far from the centre but there’s many bus routes you can take and Shilin station is only a few minutes. Genuinely such a nice place to stay and really calmed me during my travel.

Avoid if you can.. for the price you pay . Location- Not great Its not a 4 star! Amenities not great No proper service No pool - Don't get confused by the pics

We stayed for 5 nights, a quiet hotel as what other comments mentioned, a nice hotel without many people, as it only got around 40 guest rooms. It has no nearby shops, other than an Italian restaurant (boulevard Café – quite a good restaurant) and a convenient store. We travelled all by taxi, around US12 each trip to and from city centre. To airport, dependent on which route the driver chose, we paid US48 to hotel, and US35. It was not too difficult to wait for taxi, the most was around 10 min. Wifi is fast but stopped for 10-15 min in 2-3 nights during our stay. Our room is not as big as 33 sq m as stated in the website, I think this is around 23 sq m, with 2 beds, a bath room and wardrobe, and a table, a table for the fridge and a cabinet. So there is no sofa in the room, one of us had to sit on the bed. The bath room is spacious with a bath tub. The design is a bit interesting, water easily splashed out making the whole floor wet even they got curtain. Breakfast was delicious and one has to order from the set menu, with quite a no of choices, Chinese and western style. The environment of the restaurant is good, the window is from floor to ceiling on one side of the restaurant, overlooking the road with green mountains in the far end, trees and moving cars outside of the restaurant. Staff was sufficient to take care of my request. There are also free self-serviced laundry, daily supply of fruits and 2 can of cold drinks / 2 bottled water. One can do hiking to nearby parks, but we failed to walk there, and ended up stopped in a restaurant that served chi food but with ponds that allow you to fish the Thai shrimps and baked / consume on the spot. This is a nice hotel and it gives you a different feeling that commercial hotel cannot provide to you.

The hotel has a beautiful and quiet environment. The location is very close to the Ancient Museum, which is very convenient. The hotel includes breakfast, which is delicious and of a high standard. It's just that the decoration of the hotel room is a bit old

A neat hotel decorated with wooden furniture, visited with the thought of taking a day off during the trip. It was built in 2014, but it was well-maintained. The Palace Museum is a 10-minute walk away, and it is not a bad location if you are visiting for the purpose of the Palace Museum. It is a very quiet hotel, and it is so quiet that you almost do not know that there are other people. Separately, the door is heavy, so it opens and closes slowly. Uniquely, the Wi-Fi in each room works only when the TV is turned on.

There are many buses, the room is big, the bed is big and easy to lie down on, the sound insulation is good, the greenery outside the window is abundant, there are many choices for breakfast a la carte, it is only ten minutes' walk from the Forbidden City, and the price/performance ratio is very good.

This time when I checked into a single room, the staff at the counter were kind and attentive, and even helped me fill up the hot water. The hotel is very considerate and has 2 supplies. The bath products are from Jiang Xin. The room is clean and spacious. The standard double bed is enough for one person to sleep alone. There are bathrobes in the closet. There is also a bathtub in the bathroom for taking a bath. The TV is quite new. You can watch movies. It rained the night you checked in and I ordered a takeaway movie. It was super comfortable. The room was also well soundproofed and I had a good night's sleep. The breakfast the next day was a set meal, cooked to order, exquisite and filling, and the coffee was delicious. After checking out, it takes 10 minutes to walk to the Forbidden City. Next time I plan my trip to the Forbidden City, I will choose Youcheng to stay.

A very satisfying stay. The bathroom and room are large and clean. The bedding is very comfortable. The air conditioner is cold enough. Breakfast is ordered, but the taste is carefully made by the chef. The tea is delicious. The best thing is that the service at the front desk and the restaurant is very good.

This is really worth recommending to anyone who wants to come to this hotel. It has a good environment and great facilities, and a high CP value. Especially the breakfast is just right in size and has Chinese and Western options. It is a low-key and tasteful business trip. It is worth a second visit.
