Hotels near Anpingjiujuluolishi Park, Tainan

Overall was a pleasant stay at the hotel. Service was good and the staff was attentive to the guests needs. Will pick this hotel to stay again if we return to Tainan.

Location of the hotel is ok with some of restaurants around. There are few stairs in front of the hotel. When we arrived the hotel, no one to come out to help us to carry our luggages (total four big to medium sized luggages) to the reception. We had to do this by ourselves. We booked two deluxe rooms and arrived around 2pm, the receptionist asked us to come back at 4pm as the rooms were not yet ready and emphasised the checkout time should be 11am. Since the checkout time is so early, the hotel should provide us the room sharp at 3pm according to the agreed terms. After some arguments, the receptionist promised to send us email when the rooms were ready but couldn’t guarantee to give us the rooms by 3pm. At last, it was good the receptionist notified us the rooms were ready around 2.35pm. The room is spacious, clean and the beds are comfortable. No toothpaste plus toothbrush and bottled mineral water are provided. A plastic bottle is provided for you to go out to the machine to get the drinking water while the toothbrush is provided after asking the receptionist. Understood it is for green environmental protection but not convenient for the guests. The breakfast is not attractive as chose of foods are limited. Learned that the Chinese foods of the hotel restaurant is quite good but we couldn’t try it as the Chinese foods are only provided from Friday to Sunday. Car parking is very good and it is free

Old furniture and building. Provide free car parking which is great in center of Tainan, but need to stamp at lobby ticket which guardian gives you at parking. When I have asked for separate blanket (for double bed) they said they only can give plaid. When they has given it to me I found it is stinky, so I asked them to change for clean.

Strategically placed in the center of Tainan City, smack bang middle of the transportation hub. It is right behind the Main bus stations (North and South) which all buses in the city stop by (some start from those stations), so it would be very convenient for you to get around. As for the Train Station, it is a 3 minute walk from the hotel, which makes easier for people to travel further but still feel close enough to comeback. The hotel it self its pretty okay. The beds are clean and soft, they have a big bathroom, and spacious rooms for the most of it. For a budget hotel, i think its about worth it. The only downsides in my opinion are the windows, they layered them with black stickers and leave maybe a 10-20 cm gap that we can see through. Though it was buildings only buildings outside, feeling that you have more window view wouldn't be so bad. And the other thing, is the walls are a bit thinner, so it could not contain our noise neither our neighbours. Still, I understand that's a trade off. Overall, It's an okay place to stay.

The location is located in Nanfang Shopping Center, which is convenient for dining and shopping. Those who drive by car are recommended to refer to the guidelines on the official website first. If there is a holiday, there will be a long queue to enter the parking lot. The breakfast content is quite diverse, and the performance is mediocre. During the peak dining period, we can see that the service staff are working very hard and quickly to arrange new seats for the waiting guests. The room has its own sense of design, but not everyone can accept it. The front desk staff are friendly.

We stayed two nights in Roots Inn Tainan, I think it’s highly recommendable. The rooms are simple, but clean. It’s got a mini fridge for you to store all the delicious goodies that you may buy in Tainan. No bottled water nor coffee/ tea in the room, but all is provided in the 6/F communal living room. It’s a nice setting to enjoy after a long day out, we bought some snacks from the food stalls near by back to the living room because of heavy rain outside. The living room has all the dining ware that you’ll need, and a nice big dining table to spread your feast out. Location is very convenient as the alleys nearby are filled with food stalls at night. Service is excellent, we asked for extra hand towels and hand soap, they provided that to our room while we went out. The receptionist mentioned to us that even after check out, we are welcome to rest in the 6/F living room before we had to leave, which is very nice. On a side note: BMS cafe nearby is excellent for western breakfast and coffee, we went there for both mornings during our stay.

The steam equipment in the room is faulty, the light switch has a poor contact, and the air-conditioning air volume cannot be adjusted. Overall, the CP value is high. After all, with such a large space, we can’t be too picky. However, you need to consider the check-in time when checking in, which is different from ordinary hotels.

Excellent hotel, clean, location is good...near to Tainan Railway station and amenities. The breakfast served is great. The breakfast menu is never the same. The attitude and service rendered by the staffs were very positive, good and friendly.

Shangri-La Far Eastern Tainan was a very grand and pleasant hotel. The lobby had a beautiful Chris**as tree and they let us check in early. There were 38 floors which was impressive and the room was big and bright. The beds were comfy and the TV had YouTube and Netflix with many other channels. However, there was some dust on the cupboards and the sofa bed needed money to be turned into a bed. There were many food places near the hotel as well. But go to Anping, Garden night market or Da Tung night market need to take taxi. Overall, Shangri-La Far Eastern Tainan was enjoyable for my family.

There is a refreshing smell as soon as you enter the hotel lobby. It is open 24 hours a day. You can go downstairs and look at the wall bookshelves filled with various books. The overall environment is very comfortable. I stayed in a backpacker room tonight, and the guests in the room had relative restraint in not letting the noise disturb others!
