GGuest UserOur family getaway to StL went great with this hotel. It was clean, the staff was super friendly and the continental breakfast was honestly one of the better ones I've experienced.
The general location is good for local attractions like the Magic House and the Zoo. But, the exact location is a little odd to find at 1st, but once you do it gets oretty easy to navigate.
For meals there's a good mix of local flavor and national chains.

JJet42959265908Room was not vacuumed, hair covered the tub and floor, toilet had hair and pee everywhere. Mirror was filthy. Someone had pulled the plug out of clock radio and left it plugged in. I went to unplugged radio and grabbed live wire. There were construction workers living at the hotel. They were sitting in the hallway, even right outside our door, playing music loud, standing in the hallway all the time, on the phone at 7am taking on phone very loud. We all felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. The hotel next door was closed down for some reason, which was part of theirs, and all the guests that were staying at the hotel were switch here. They didn't even inform the guests. Just left a sign on the door, check into other hotel. So they normally use the big kitchen at other hotel but since it was closed there was NO nighly reception and breakfast was horrible. All done by microwave. Coffee grounds in coffee 3 days in a row! Breakfast was super greasy. The pool had to be treated with more chemicals because overgrowth and no sign posted. A worker told us about it. The room kept changing the temps back to 74. We asked for connecting rooms and one room was on one end of the hall and the other one was clear other end of the hall. So much for family staying together!!! Room key didn't work on 2nd day. The front desk seemed annoyed that we were there. They didn't bother telling is about the reception or breakfast. We will not be staying here again. Also maid cart left in hallway all 3 days. And no pool towels on 2nd night stay. Hot tub was warm and not strong and next night super hot and strong. People were vaping and smoking everywhere. Everywhere smelled of smoke. Bathroom was so small you could sit on toilet and wash hands. Shower wasn't hot. And when you pulled on shower lift up not only half the water went to the shower head. Strong smell of **** inside and outside of hotel.

KKristiExcellent all around. Only small complaint was that I waited 40 minutes for the shuttle. In hindsight I probably should’ve put a pickup time in the special requests section when booking. I live abroad so need WiFi to make calls and was afraid I’d miss the shuttle if I went inside to make the call. It was there within 5 minutes of calling, and I had a good night’s sleep and enjoyed the breakfast in the morning.

I said I had been waiting for 15 mins she said ”I was in the Bathroom!” No apology. The room was pleasant, great bed and pillows, and the breakfast was nice. GGuest UserWe arrived on a Wednesday night, after reserving a “balcony” room with two double beds. Our party included two adults and two children (as confirmed via our online booking). Upon arrival our room had only three sets of towels. Upon contacting the front desk, we were told that we could come down to pick up additional, as they didn’t have staff to deliver. We DID notice a housekeeper cleaning “front of house” areas, but evidently delivering items to guest rooms wasn’t part of her job description. Our room did NOT have a balcony. It wasn’t of major importance to us, however, we DID pay more (per room night) for this feature. When it was brought it to the attention of the front desk (“manager” Alicia or Amanda?), she kindly adjusted our rate. However, when checking out on Sunday, we found that while 3 nights were “adjusted” appropriately, our Thursday night rate was actually increased $20. This was above and beyond our quoted balcony room rate. (We were in a standard room for the duration of our stay.) This concern was brought to the attention of the front desk clerk working on Sunday morning. She explained that her “manager” wouldn’t be in until mid-afternoon, and she had no “access” or rights to adjust room rates. We find this unacceptable- not having a Manager on Duty “on site”, who can handle guest problems during a Sunday morning (mass) checkout. The clerk we spoke to did not apologize, and seemed indifferent to our concern. Also observed in the lobby was (what appeared to be) a non-hotel guest “transient” sitting on the couch and “tweaking” (rocking, talking to self, urinated on carpeted floor). The person asked us for money, and hotel staff appeared to allow this person’s presence in their lobby setting (rather than encouraging her to “move along”. Is this common practice? The hotel decor is beautiful, and the landscaping well-kept (sprinkler system was working throughout out stay). Parking lot was to be resurfaced. Our key cards didn’t work on several occasions, thus causing us to return from 7th Floor to front desk for reprogramming. Lastly, the majority of the sandwiches, salads, and wraps in the sellf-serve cafe area had reached their expiration dates. But, the breakfast buffet offered within the lower level dining area exceeded our expectations. This property has much potential. However, management and staff will have to pay better attention to detail if they hope to advance to the next level!

I do not recommend this place. Rusty/dirty cabinets, rug dirty/worn, smoke detector falling from ceiling, no light in refrigerator, only one office chair at dining table, leak in shower from upstairs room every time someone above us would take a shower. Toilet would not flush properly! When I asked for maintenance the first time, I was told he would be in at 9 am, then I was told noon, & finally when I called back they said he must have called off! Had to go to office to get plunger & plunge it myself! Luckily I kept the plunger in the bathroom because we had to use it quite often! No cleaning lady…we stayed 4 nights & was told that we were not on the service list so if we needed anything like towels or utensils, we would have to go to front desk. When we requested utensils from office, among the silverware was a rusted can opener! No way would I have let anyone use that thing! I guess I should have asked for a second chair so we could both sit at table to eat but they probably would have given me a rusted/rotted, falling apart chair!! Also the heater would blow out a blast of cold air when it kicked on! There was a wide gap under the door where the draft stopper had come off so we had to put towels against door to keep winter cold air from coming in! Very disappointed for as much as we had to spend per night! I will never stay here again!

i had a wonderful experience at this hotel .Initially ,i accidentally booked standard room ,but upon realizing my mistake, i approached the front desk .The staff there was incredibly accommodating and swiftly upgraded my room,making sure my stay was as comfortable as possible. the room was clean, and the service I received was excellent .I truly appreciated their attention to customer satisfaction.

They took me in last minute and check in was easy and they were very nice and my room was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable to my surprise. I will definitely stay there again.
