Playa Parc Apartments

The apartments are very clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable and plenty of clean towels. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Very quiet so had the pool to myself most days. Not heated but okay for a swim. The sea was still warm ish as well. Great that you can use the facilities at 3 hotels in Son Parc. Son Parc is a very quiet area with a beautiful beach and stunning views. A few supermarkets & a chemist but only a couple of restaurants. Had to go to Arenal d’en Castell for more choice. Unbeknown to me a lot of shops & restaurants in Menorca shut once the holiday season ends

The perfect place for a quiet getaway that won’t break the bank. The hotel was very clean, everything worked and staff were friendly and couldn’t help enough. And its location is ideal 5-10 mins walk to the beach or similar distance to the small selection of bars shops in the resort. If you are looking for nightly shows and shots this isn’t the place. If you want to relax enjoy a beer whilst watching the sun go down it is. We will be back in 2025

I hate writing bad reviews and in truth this is a 2.5/5. The place is super tired - everything seems broken or rusty. The staff did everything they could but this isn’t a 3 star venue this is 2 star at best. Also I question how secure the room was . So good staff but this hotel needs some TLC and really is a budget option. Good parking however and very central for getting out.

An excellent budget holiday location. Whilst there's no denying that the complex as a whole is a little 'tired', our apartment was clean, as well quipped as these ever are (!), our towels and linen were changed and the apartment cleaned twice during our stay, and when we arrived and asked for extra pillows, they were delivered within the hour. The pools were sparkling, there were sufficient sunbeds, and the beach and the (few) restaurants were within a 7/8 minute walk.

Just returned from a weeks break here. Yes the apartments aren’t brand new. However ours was clean and had all the basic cooking stuff you could need. Staff friendly and helpful. Towels changed twice during the week Two bedroom apartment which was basically two twin rooms with on suite bathrooms, one with shower other with shower/bath. Open plan kitchen with sofa bed/ sitting sofa etc. Small patio area outside Pools two in total one with toddler shallow end and slides at deeper end the other 25 meters away just normal swimming pool. They were busy but never any problems getting sun loungers. Kids enjoyed them. Can also use sister hotel pool which is just 3/5 min,walk down the road. Beach is beautiful 5/6 min walk away . Shallow water Beautiful sand Resort is quiet four/five bars etc but the ones we tried were all good. And as we were here with young family suited us just fine. Hired a car though the sister hotel, which is very easy to do and we enjoyed travelling to a few different bits and seeing more of the island All in all a very enjoyable holiday,

We stayed at Playa Parc Apartments in Son Parc from Sat 22nd July to Saturday 5th August. On arrival we were immediately taken aback by the very dated apartment that we ended up in. It looked and felt very old. The cupboard door in the kitchen was falling off. There was old broken sun umbrellas on the balcony. The furniture was all very old. We asked if there were any other apartments to move to and to be fair we were moved to another apartment the next day. This apartment at first glance seemed modern and bright. However once we settled in we quickly realised that, a bit like the entire resort, the apartment was in need of an overhaul. Plus there was a bowl that had been used as an ashtray left full of cigarette butts on our balcony upstairs. Also our main request had been for air conditioning and whilst the apartment had air conditioning downstairs it had none upstairs. Hence the bedrooms were absolutely roasting/suffocating during the night and both my children and ourselves had trouble sleeping. We had to open all the balcony doors upstairs at night to let any bit of air in. This then unfortunately allowed for cockroaches etc to also come in. The bathtub needed replacing and hence no amount of cleaning was going to help it. We constantly had insects in the bathtub and sink. There was a wooden round window in the bathroom which was completely falling apart and rotting. There was patio furniture provided on the balcony and a clothes horse but no sun umbrella. The one positive of the resort was that there are numerous swimming pools including one right outside our apartment which was great. However a few of the sunbeds were broken and there were no sun umbrellas. One or two of the staff were very good but apart from them you would get a lot of “I don’t know” from the others so had to constantly wait for those two particular staff members to be working to get anything done. We requested an extra pillow as each bed literally only had one pillow and it took 3 days to finally get it after asking repeatedly. The resort itself is so badly in need of work and feels so neglected. Walking around you came across broken furniture thrown around, rubbish, closed up buildings and restaurants. The bar in the resort that provides the entertainment is fully closed by 11pm. The entertainment stops at 10pm and by 10.30pm you are handed paper cups to put your drink into and the tables are cleared! There is a severe lack of places to eat in the resort. A few of the restaurants once you’d tried them you would not be bothered going back. Bad service, dreadful food. There seems to be an issue with flies in the resort and one of the restaurants that we tried to eat in we ended up leaving our meal uneaten as we were being so attacked by flies. There were nights when it was nearly impossible to get into some of the restaurants/bars to eat. Not because they were full but because they would only accept a certain amount of people in due to staff shor
