Ended up staying an extra night and upgraded to a two queen room. It was worth the upgrade having the extra space of a little house on the street.

Surrounding like in previous ages, if you want to live like in former Chinese village style but with comfort and affordable price, that’s the hotel worth to try. Amazing huge park and amenities around. Definitely worth to visit for 1-2 days. Unfortunately no English, but could use my low level small talk chinese . Would go again. Very good breakfast!

This time I happened to see the Dragon Boat Festival decorations. It's also good to bring my parents to stay here because the hotel itself is a scene. I feel that the service in recent years is better than before. This time I booked two rooms. Some minor problems during the stay were perfectly solved by Miss Ye Kexin. The young management team of the hotel is delightful.

I brought my parents to Shaoxing for a trip and booked Dayu Kaiyuan Guantang. The room we booked was in the ancient street, with good scenery along the way and convenient eating. There was the Yujia Courtyard where you could order dishes and a small noodle restaurant. The room was on the street, and I was worried whether it would be noisy, but you couldn't drive in. The cars that could be driven were the battery cars that sent guests in the scenic area, which usually ended at 10 pm, so it basically didn't affect sleep. Because it is an old house, the sound insulation is really not very good. The hotel's breakfast is also quite good, especially there is a separate dining table set up for children, which is very heartwarming to look at. I will come again next time I have the chance.

I stayed at Linshuiju, a two-story building by the river. The first floor is a small reception room, and the second floor is a large room and bathroom. It is very antique and full of folk customs. I experienced that you live in Gusu, and everyone lives by the river. The whole hotel is an ancient village. I personally feel that Shaoxing is the best water town. It is more original than Zhouzhuang, Xitang, and Wuzhen, larger, with clearer water, more attractions, more historical celebrities, cultural allusions, and various relics. If you go to a water town, you must come to Shaoxing. To experience the quiet and sparsely populated water town houses, you must come to Dayu Kaiyuan.

I went to Shaoxing and chose to stay at Dayu Kaiyuan Guantang Hotel. The hotel is divided into Phase I and Phase II. Phase II is newer and Phase I is antique. You can choose according to your preference. Check in at the Phase I lobby, and then there is a shuttle bus to the Phase II guest room. The hotel is like an ancient village, with small bridges and flowing water, where you can stroll leisurely. The room is quite spacious and there are free fruits.

We upgraded to a lake view villa, the room is very large and you can see other people playing rowing boats by opening the window. The rooms in Phase 2 are newer than those in Phase 1, which is too dark. The front desk saw that we brought the elderly and specially arranged a room closest to the restaurant. Thumbs up!
