Family-friendly Hotels in Shaoxing

Massive suites. Very luxurious and comfy. Feels like being in a upscale apartment. Perfect for family and friends to stay together. Highly recommend. They can improve on expanding their car parking space more for the hotel.

An authentic Tuscan Italian castle building, classical and elegant, every part of it reflects the glory of the Renaissance. The hotel is clean and tidy, the service is thoughtful, warm and attentive, the food is large and tastes good, the waiter was very considerate to remind us that if there are fewer people, we can just order half a portion of food, and we were given champagne when we left the hotel, which was great.

Grand House Shaoxing was an 4000 years old village which had an ancient history, villagers surname Si (姒）were Dayu‘s (大禹)tomb guards for thousands of years. Now it is as a beautiful hotel with a lot of amenities ! Breakfast had many local specialties were very delicious ! It’s also had a big restaurant and wedding banquet hall ! Room is beautiful as in my photos. Hotel located only 4 KM from city centre, as taxi only cost less A$7. We stayed 3 nights, enjoyed peaceful country life, also the very busy tourist spot ! I must mention all the stuff in the hotel are so helpful, specially the young man who greeted us on arrival in the rain at night, helping us changed room because I can’t get to upstairs loft ! I hope more tourists visit Shaoxing and stay in this hotel, because it is a totally different experience from big city like Shanghai or Beijing, and you will not regret it.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Within walking distance or a short taxi ride, you can find restaurants complex/shopping malls. Its also fairly close to major tourist attractions. Our room is very comfortable and spacious. What made our stay exceptionally pleasant is the staff here. Overall staff are very helpful, but our highlight is a staff called miss Dai. Our trip to the city of Shao Xing was rather a last minute one, so we didn't really know of the things are. Miss Dai, from the breakfast area, was very helpful when we asked her for advice. We were very happy with her recommendation.

The hotel has a very good location. Go out from the side door of the lobby on the first floor and walk to Luzhen and Keyan Scenic Area for 5 minutes. The hotel is very big, and every room can see green through the windows. The hotel serves breakfast until 10 o'clock, which is very suitable for vacation. There are many kinds of breakfast and the waiters are all polite. When checking in, the front desk guy patiently arranged a room for us and showed us the room. When we checked out, he thoughtfully gave us a souvenir, slippers and water, which made us feel comfortable on the way back. A piece of fruit is given in the room every day, and two desserts are given in the evening. We stayed there for three nights and nothing was the same. All this reflects that the hotel's software services are excellent. Although the hotel's hardware is not outstanding, the excellent service awareness still makes me happy to recommend this hotel to my friends.

Got there around CNY eve, so things were a bit on the quiet side. Parking was a bit chaotic at first with cars parked all along the entrance, it was not clear where to park until I went inside and asked. Check in was quick and to my pleasent surprise the checkin agent Gary spoke English very well. He was extemely helpful and and accomodating. He even explained that breakfast would be included because of CNY. The hotel was very clean, room was clean. The hotel is at a very good location, central to many important areas in Shaoxing. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. Check out was simple and the overnight parking fee was taken care by the hotel. Overall, the hotel has the quality, look and feel that you would expect from a Holiday Inn brand hotel. Would definitely recommend and will rebook in the future. Many families with kids too. Please note if traveling around CNY, certain restaurants etc may be closed for the holiday.

This time I brought my mother and baby to Shaoxing for a trip. It was a good choice to choose Shaoxing Hotel. If I come again next time, I will choose to stay here again. Facilities: The room was cleaned very clean. 😀 Environment: This is the first time I chose a garden-style hotel. It is so beautiful, and my mother also praised it. 🥰 Service: The hotel waiters are very friendly. When I go out, I will greet the waiters who clean the guest rooms warmly. 🥰 The free travel photography can only be participated by one person in a room. If there is one more person, an additional fee will be charged. It would be better if two people can use it. Finally, it is a bit regrettable that there was no small gift when I left the hotel. I don’t know if there was no gift at all, or the front desk forgot to give it. 🥺

It is a five-star hotel with a good environment, a swimming pool, a tennis court, and a good location. It is a quiet place in a busy city. It is also very convenient for travel. It is very close to Yangming's hometown, the hometown of the Sage of Calligraphy, and Cangqiao Street, all of which are about 15 minutes' walk. The scenery is pleasant, and the front desk service is convenient and fast. When we heard that we left the hotel early and could not have breakfast in the hotel, the front desk was very considerate to help us pack the meals and handed them to us in time when we left the hotel. The service was superb, whether it was the guest room, catering, or the front desk, the concierge, everyone greeted guests with a smile, thumbs up 👍🏻

The Oriental Grand hotel is part of a complex which includes 3 theme parks. One indoor mountain park, one indoor water park, and one large outdoor theme park. The parks were fun for our toddler. Call in advance to see which parts of the park are open/closed for the season. The hotel and facilities are designed for kids, so expect lots of them to be around! We stayed for 3 nights during the October Golden Week but the hotel was not overly busy, nor was the theme park. The breakfast was solid with mostly Chinese options but Western options as well. We enjoyed both the breakfast and the buffet dinner. Other food options in the area are quite limited, and the food in the parks is pretty poor. We were a 20-40 minute taxi ride away from other major attractions in the city, like Daxianglin and the giant buddha, as well as some of the ancient towns. The rooms were clean and new, and we had an excellent view of the nightly fireworks show from the main theme park, even from the bathtub! The rooms were quiet at night and the blackout curtains allowed everyone to sleep in. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Overall I would recommned this hotel to people seeking quiet and comfort during a theme-park trip.
