👍🏼: The hotel is conveniently located, with good proximity to financial district and other attractions such as the Oriental Pearl Tower, Ocean Aquarium and Lujiazui metro station. 👎🏼: The hotel is considered relatively old as the facilities and furnitures are showing signs of wear and tear. There were visible stains on the pillow cases, but the sketchy housekeeper(s) changed the orientation of the pillows. The cleanliness of the room can be further improved.

Another great stay at Kempinski! We often come here to simply enjoy quiet and relaxing time to get away from busy city life! It sounds crazy to say to come to the centre of the city but if it book Club room with executive lounge it’s possible! You can enjoy quiet breakfast, lovely lunch and cute afternoon tea and great happy hours with less people around with stunning view from 28th floor! Stuffs here are always great wiling to help you and attentive which we can’t see often…we can see people are working with smiles that is from their heart so hospitality is wonderful. Always great to stay at indoor swimming pool and Spa which is quite relaxing with amazing view from 30th floor! From the moment you arrive at check-In counter and during your stay and at the check-out you feel like detox stay at the beautiful Kempinski! 🍽️: variety food of breakfast and they will prepare extra things if you ask them 🛌🛋️: lovely decorations with new sofa, very comfortable bed and sofa makes your stay very relaxing! 🍰🍇🫐: Kind fruits and sweets service, it’s very sweet arrangement! We will definitely come back again soon for another relaxing staycation!

Near subway, fastfood/restaurant, and some sightseeing places. Get upgrade room using membership, welcome food like chocolate and fruits. Kids get some gifts from the hotel. But the window was very dirty near the sofa.

Location is excellent to explore Shanghai and service and staff is absolutely good, but you can see from the interior, it’s a little bit out dated.

I would say that the stay was fantastic in general! Welcoming lobby, friendly staff, awesome views from the room and various facilities and location was excellent! Some areas of improvement would be the dated room design, lighting mechanism (unable to dim bathroom light) and the breakfast buffet offered a terrific spread but lacked in the quality/ taste department.

A 5 star appearance from outside, 4 star facility and 3 star service. The so called non smoking hotel is a joke. You can smell smoke in the hallway. Very bad sound proof. Can hear everything from the hallway. Room decoration is dated and old. Carpets are dirty and old. Sink painting is falling apart, Headboard needs replace. Location is nice but not convenient. Overall, far from the 5 star experience.

Executive lounge could be better with food choices. Sad that the grand piano was just a furniture and no live music at all. Lovely view and convenient location overall.

The hotel has an excellent location, but the hotel itself seems too old and staff needs better training in customer service. Both areas need upgrading. The check-in experience wasn't great. We showed up 30 minutes after the check-in time, and our room wasn't ready. We were told to wait with our luggage in the lobby area and call them (via the phone number they gave us) in 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, instead of calling I walked up to the counter to ask about our room. Before I could ask a single word, the front desk person, Kraise Ao, vividly told me she could not help me because the computer wasn't working. I don't know why she was so rude and couldn't at least wait for me to ask a question rather than assume I wanted to check in the first time. The feeling was like I was a bother to her and she just wanted me to leave her alone. I wouldn't want this person to be working at my company...Horrible attitude and I hope something is done about her being the first face you see at the front desk. Also, the staff wearing red skirt suits near the front desk are the least helpful employees. Just standing there holding their phones and doing nothing. The room was ok. It felt like everything was old. The TV was old and mostly had Chinese channels, which I thought was strange for an international hotel in Lujiazui. The bathroom was extremely hot due to the floor and wall heating. I don't see the purpose of having this so the mirror won't have any fog. Couldn't stay in the bathroom for too long and the hotel set the lowest temperature of the A/C at 24C. The pool was just ok, but again old and algae had built up. The best part was the crayfish dinner on Sunday night. I did enjoy the different flavors and variety of options. Rayen and Nora Wang were great servers and made our experience great. Overall, I will not go back with my family to this hotel.

Grand Kempinski in Lujiazui is only a few minutes walk to many attractions and the Shanghai Metro. As it's in the financial district, it's now as overcrowded as the opposite side of the Huangpu river on the bund. We had good view of the river, with an excellent room that was well serviced and everyone in the hotel wanted to please us. Breakfast buffet was a good spread but can be crowded during the weekends and holidays. Restaurants were spacious and had top class cuisines. Taxis were able to pick us and drop us quickly as the traffic here is smoother than most hotels downtown. The concierge were very helpful and we got good advices of what to see and where to go in Shanghai. We enjoyed our ten days stay here. Thumbs up.

The hotel and restaurant staff provided excellent service. The location of the hotel and club lounge is outstanding, offering views of the river and the best vistas of the Bund in Shanghai. And a massive thank you to all the staff especially Irene Sun, and Manager Yudith Pinera Marquez. Overall the hotel provided exceptional service, making my stay truly memorable and I ended up extending my stay due to how phenomenal this hotel and the staff are.

It is spacious and reasonable price, the hotel amenities are well-equipped. Will recommend in the next trip.
