Our stay at Aman Yangyun was an unforgettable experience for our family. We arrived at the hotel by taxi from the airport, but we encountered a problem as we couldn’t complete the payment due to issues with our Alipay setup. The hotel staff quickly stepped in, escorting us to the lobby and taking care of the payment on our behalf. Moreover, since the taxi driver had charged us an unreasonably high amount, the staff even negotiated a reduction for us. Their swift and thoughtful actions gave us a great sense of relief. While every aspect of our stay was exceptional, the following experiences left a particularly lasting impression: 1. **Calligraphy Workshop with the Kids** We participated in a calligraphy session as a family, where we learned the techniques of writing and created beautiful pieces under the guidance of the instructor. 2. **Cycling Adventures** We rented bikes and explored the vast forest adjacent to the hotel. The cycling experience was incredibly refreshing and rejuvenating. 3. **New Year’s Fireworks** At midnight on New Year’s Eve, a spectacular fireworks display lit up the sky. The sheer volume of fireworks was astonishing—far beyond what you’d expect from a single hotel. It was a truly satisfying experience, and we could tell that a great deal of effort and expense had gone into the celebration. 4. **Peaceful Landscape with Wildlife** The hotel grounds were home to deer, black swans, and a beautiful river, creating a serene and idyllic landscape that was both calming and delightful. This stay will remain a cherished memory for our family.

This is officially my favorite resort in the world! Located in the outskirts of Shanghai, Amanyangyun allows you to experience heaven on Earth. The moment we checked into the hotel, the service of the entire staff made us feel so welcomed and special. Our suite in the Ming Pavilion was also so spacious and luxurious. Although the resort is located far away from the heart of Shanghai, the cultural experience classes, morning fitness classes, spa, the three restaurants on site, and more keep you entertained the entire stay. Of the three restaurants on site, we enjoyed the hot pot place the most as we loved the freshness of the seafood. We got to relax at the spa a little too but next time I want to spend a lot more time there. It was so relaxing and nice. I will definitely be back at Amanyangyun again!

One of the best hotel I’ve ever stayed and the service level at this hotel is by far the top of anything I’ve ever tried.

Aman always stands apart, and Amanyanyun is no exception. This is a stunningly beautiful resort, full of elegance and charm, nestled in the outskirts of Shanghai. Our room was as spacious as usual. The front desk staff were very friendly and enthusiastic. We had an amazing experience cycling through the resort's forest, immersing ourselves in nature and the beautiful scenery. The Jiang Xi cuisine at the resort's Chinese restaurant was also exceptional. The staff's English proficiency and the housekeeping team's room service could use some improvement. However, when we provided this feedback to Mr. Johnny, the Room Manager, he listened to us with genuine sincerity and goodwill. Thus, despite these minor imperfections, Aman remains number one in our hearts.

The comfortable service and comfortable facilities were highly satisfying and I would like to visit again someday

The stay was impressive. Not only was the room spacious, the site was also peaceful will very few other guests at the time we went. The environment was so nice that we forgot we were in Shanghai. Experiences of having hotpot next to the river, cycling around the large park, visiting the antique villa and learning about the history, were exceptional. We were amazed by Johnny Qin and his team's warm hospitality and heart-touching service, especially the hand-drawn welcome card which bear the logo of our company. Attentions were paid to every detail during our stay. Penny was our yoga tutor and she was so friendly in teaching us and also taking pictures for us. Highly recommended. As for the afternoon tea on the boat, we had a great chat with Kevin Li 李城城, rounding up a sweet and memorable experience for us at Amanyangyun. Will definitely come back again.

Good Service, Good stay and great food

This is my first Aman stay ! I came here because I wanted to experience Kerry Hill’s work in personal ! Very well kept and the surrounding is just so beautiful and surreal ! The staff were really attentive especially Ms Susan ! She took the initiative to link me up on WeChat which makes communication so much easier ! I ate a pepino melon without knowing what it was and I asked her. She then packed a box for me to take home :) I am so touched by the sincerity and care they render to their customers ! I think I am so spoilt by the whole Aman service that I will definitely return for more ! Thank you Ms Susan ! Keep in touch ~

I stayed in the suite of Amanyangyun in August this year. At that time, I was recommended to the classic ancient house of Aman. I came to check it out on the occasion of New Year's Day on January 1st. There were many festival activities this time. I also selectively participated in the lighting ceremony and the New Year's Eve fireworks party. In particular, the carefully designed and grand fireworks show was very impressive, making this stay experience more warm and unforgettable. The most intuitive feeling of staying in the ancient house is its historical atmosphere. Auspicious words are written on each wooden beam. You can clearly feel the designer's careful thoughts to reflect the quiet, natural, simple but not simple luxury. The historical courtyard ancient house is combined with modern furniture, design, and technology to make this living experience much more sublimated than a normal villa suite. The rich fruits, chocolate cakes, snacks, nuts, and champagne prepared before check-in also fully satisfy people's taste. But in general, there are still some minor problems during the stay, such as the one-bedroom ancient house will share a courtyard and swimming pool facilities with three houses, and the bedroom door must be opened with a room card, and the courtyard can see the interior of the living room through the sunshade at night, etc. Speaking of this, we have to mention Aman's butler service. The butler I contacted on this trip was MIKI. She made all the problems I encountered no longer a problem and was properly solved. Her presence made this stay experience directly different from the normal five-star luxury hotel. You can personally feel the meticulous care and sincere help to the guests. After running five kilometers in Maqiao Park in the morning, I went to Yinlu to watch the sika deer and the lake view and eat a hearty breakfast. After dinner, I returned to the ancient house to enjoy the courtyard hot spring under the blue sky and white clouds. The ancient house really gave enough comfort to welcome the new year, and it lived up to Aman's reputation of seclusion and comfort. I have attached 20 photos below so that people who read this comment can get a glimpse of the style of the old house and understand the value of expensiveness. At the same time, I also realized that the experience of the old house is not achieved overnight, but can be felt differently in different festival atmospheres. Finally, thank you again MIKI and the Aman team. Your busy figures under the night and fireworks are impressive. You were able to rest at three in the morning, and you were already in place early in the morning, which touched me even more. I wish you a happy new year in 2025, and I hope Aman will get better and better.

Extremely elegant, very Chinese atmosphere, and the experience classes were fun, especially the singing bowls. The service attitude of the staff is excellent, worthy of an Aman hotel. The breakfast is freshly prepared and very exquisite.

The hotel arranged a great deal for my friend's proposal and the New Year's Eve countdown. The room was decorated very cozy, and there were handwritten cards. I liked the champagne that was thoughtfully prepared for New Year's Eve. The only thing was that the bar activities on New Year's Eve were a bit disappointing, the free drinks and snacks were not very good, but everything else was perfect. I have to say that it was the most ceremonial private customized fireworks configuration I have ever seen!
