The boss’s daughter-in-law is from Hong Kong, China. Haha, the hotel’s travel packages are quite conscientious and they kept introducing us. But their tour guide was a bit annoying and kept asking for tips to the driver.

This hotel has a wonderful courtyard, giving you a relaxing space to enjoy bird songs while writing postcards. It also gives you a safe space if the rhinos and elephants choose to run down the street. The rooms were equipped with ceiling fan, aircon, and mosquito nets. We slept like babies on the comfortable beds and the food provided was delicious and filled our bellies to the Max. We did the 3 day package and did all the activities. I recommend this because it requires no thinking you have everything planned out for you and the meals are prechoosen as well. The guide was knowledgable and kind. Saying if you are happy I am happy. He always checked that we were enjoying ourselves and safe.

The hotel was clean and everyone was very friendly. Ganesh was a joy to spend time with, he guided us around, took us birdwatching and was enormously attentive. We really enjoyed our time here immensely.

All of the staff at the Tiger Residency were friendly and helpful and they made us so welcome from the minute we arrived. The guide was just fabulous, going way beyond his remit of taking us to the elephant conservation site, bird watching on the river, to a cultural evening event and to see the sunset over the river. He gave us a personal tour of the village around the hotel and introduced us to a local group who were celebrating an 84th birthday. He then waited patiently while we were invited to join the dancing and meet everyone at the party. The kitchen staff made food especially for us and brought us lassi and tea on the veranda. The hotel itself is excellent, with hot rainfall showers, a beautiful tranquil garden setting, good wifi and balconies outside each room for relaxing in the shade.
