Sanya Ocean View Hotels

As always Sunshine Resort in Sanya is like a home always from home...but with better cooking :) From the warm welcome from Vanessa at the front desk...to all the cleaners, wait staff and pool staff..you are treated as a valued visitor. It is great to see the extra loung chairs at the pool and on the property above the beach and chairs and umbrellas on the beach...well done. A big benefit is the newly developed bosrdwalk that goes the entire lenght of the beach with plenty of food and drink. Also....although I do not have kids here..they always have entertainment on the holidays for the young ones. I will always return the the special...”Sunshine” in Sanya

Fifth time choosing this hotel while traveling to Sanya, used to come with friends, and now for business trips. The hotel has changed a lot over the years, and it was kinda going very low quality in terms of amenities and services few months ago. But they have made recent improvements, like the wooden deck that finally had been renovated and look nice and clean now. I was disappointed at first at my arrival since the staff was not welcoming at all, not even smiling or helping with luggages, but then Johnson took over and has been amazingly helpful! His English was great, and he upgraded my room for one with the nicest view over the pool and bay, which was really appreciated. Amber at the reception has also been a great host, great English and attitude, she helped me with my late check out. These two really made my stay better. Overall this hotel is always a good and quiet choice. Sadly they removed their western food options for the restaurant and room service, so not ideal for foreigners. But breakfast is good and got all the options. I’ll definitely come back, since to me it’s still one of the most beautiful hotel in the area, but hoping for some more improvements to take it back to the level it used to be.

Rooms and furniture need renovation. Water supply and sewerage need renovation. Breakfast is varied but tasteless (in my opinion). Traditional meal noodles, the person who cooks noodles does it as if he is serving a sentence and does it with contempt, arrogance (in my opinion). The hotel location near to the sea, but this beach is not intended for swimming. The staff at reception did not solve any issues, some bonuses were included in the stay, but it was not possible to use them due to the lack of interest of the staff. All attractions, shops and restaurants are located within 20 minutes walking distance. At Yalong bay the best place for stay is on the western side of the bay.

Location is very good. There is a dining street just behind the hotel called Waimao street. The is a smaller mall near the hotel too. Opposite is the beach with a fantastic view. You can see the sunset from the hotel balcony. It is full of people whether young or old dancing regularly. The only drawback is the hotel is a bit old. And the water pressure for shower is low. Also the wifi is extremely slow. Prepare your 4G or 5G.

Had a great time. Front desk and Housekeeping were very accommodating with our frivolous request. Breakfast is mostly Chinese but timing is vast and lasts till 10:30 AM. They have many swimming pools and the beach is accessible between 6:00 to 23:00 Hrs. Beware of the sea currents on the beach. Overall a very satisfying stay.

So many more positives that I would definitely stay here again - but there are a couple things that could be improved. Here are the good bits: Location: super close to Yalong bay and easy to get Didi to other places Service: rooms cleaned everyday, 24 hour reception, 24 hour resort transport, awesome breakfast, free shuttle bus to beach Cleanliness: all good! Amenities: warm swimming pool with loungers, all the usual things you would expect in the room. Here’s the stuff to improve: Half of the main swimming pool was closed the whole duration - this was not mentioned when booked. The swimming pool is open until 11:00pm which means if you’re in building one, you will hear kids screaming until 11:00pm. The beach bus is super old and broken - the ac doesn’t work and half the time I felt like we were going to break down! Also, there is no service between 11:30 and 14:00. Some areas of the resort/villas are still under construction.

We recently stayed at a villa in Sanya through Trip.com and also experienced the wonderful hospitality of The Palace Resort Yalong Bay Sanya. From the moment we arrived, Bill, a staff member at the resort, added us on WeChat and provided outstanding service throughout our stay. He was incredibly helpful and made everything so easy for us. While January was a bit chilly, we only used the Villa pool on the first day. However, the resort has a hot jacuzzi by the pool in Villa, which was perfect for the cooler weather. We simply messaged Bill on WeChat, and he promptly ensured we had access to it, which was a great touch. The resort’s location is excellent, with Yalong Bay beach just a short distance away, making it very convenient. If you’re traveling with kids under 10 years old, the free indoor play center within the resort is a fantastic feature. Our children had an amazing time there, and it added so much value to our stay. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with our experience and highly recommend this resort. The combination of beautiful surroundings, family-friendly amenities, and exceptional service from staff like Bill made our trip truly memorable. We can’t wait to visit again! It was good experience, but I arrived hotel at 10:00pm they give me different room with which i booked, they said no available room and second day will give me same my booking room , i booked sea view they give me swimming pool view , staff was polite, room was clean , breakfast was suitable for Chinese not very convenient for foreigners

Service of the hotel was very good even though they don’t speak English, they assist you through translation app willing to help. Especially person on the front desk helped us a lot. Food is delicious, rich variety. Room is clean. You can walk to the beach. It takes 5-10 mins. It’s near to the summer and pineapple malls. There is a free shuttle bus to duty free mall. You can take info from the front desk. We enjoyed our stay.

Staying at Crowne Plaza was an absolute joy. I couldn’t be happier with the experience I had. The area where the hotel is located is peaceful and serene. The rooms are clean and specious. I was so pleased to get an upgrade although the season seems to be really busy here. The sea view is stunning. The hotel has got an amazing pool as well with all amenities needed. It was just lovely to relax and unwind next to the pool or at the balcony. All the meals were delicious, especially breakfast. Perhaps staff/waiters at the restaurant could work on their communication in English which would make them more approachable. The absolute highlight was meeting an exceptionally skilled and professional member of staff Spring, who’s responsible for guests relations. His English was amazing and he was extremely helpful, from the moment I checked in to the very last minute of my stay at the hotel. He made my stay here even more special. Overall, I must say that the Crowne Plaza hotel in Sanya and their staff have exceeded my expectations and I am so looking forward to being back.
