Visiting family and wanted to stay in Sonoma. Everything was so expensive, I found this BW in Santa Rosa. I used points to get a cheaper rate. Joel looks like it was a very nice motel back in the day. Larger than expected. Our room was in the back, and was clean and updated. It was fine for our overnight stay. Room had a smell when we walked in and had to open slider for fresh air. We discovered a little potion that overlooks pool. I was disappointed we hadn’t arrived earlier so we could sit out there. There were two lotion bottles, and one was half empty. Must of been left from previous guest. That kind of upset my husband.

Room and linens/towels were immaculately clean. Love that the room had NO carpet - laminate floors in the whole room. Fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in room. Had no issues with anything - everything worked and was in good order. As others in previous reviews have said, sound travels into the room very easily from the hallway - but it didn't bother us as we weren't in the room much and are heavy sleepers. Our room door had seen better days and could stand to be replaced, but nothing about it affected my opinion of the room/property. Front desk staff for afternoon check-in was polite and accommodating. Morning check-out staff was friendly and personable. As with other Choice hotels, there is a free hot breakfast. Here is where the hotel could improve - the selection/choices were very slim (one pan of eggs, one pan of sausage links, a waffle machine, one carafe each of leaded and decaf coffee, a paltry selection of bread/baked items, 2 sugary cereal options, one type of milk only, and sugar/sweeter/creamer packets). This was the first Choice hotel I've stayed in that didn't at least have fruit, yogurt, hot cereal, or liquid creamer of some kind. There also wasn't anyone attending the dining area to ensure guests had what they needed and items did not run out. The location was just fine for us; easy on/off the 101 freeway. If you are a Choice Gold or above member, there are designated spaces for you. Parking was fine and plenty of space in the lot. Overall, great stay and would consider staying again if we travel to Santa Rosa in the future.

Stayed here one night after going to the Charles Schultz Museum. We were warmly welcomed and given room 320, a very quiet room with two queen beds. Linens and towels were very nice. Lighting very good in bathroom. Breakfast had good selections. Bed is high for me and I would have liked the room darker. The microwave light was bright! Bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again.

My stay at the Glen Ellen Inn was invigorating and reviving and much needed after a very hard week at work. I won't go into the work details, but the Glen Ellen Inn was the perfect respite. The room was beautiful, well decorated and cozy (in a large warm, comfy, relaxing kind of way), and clean. You could tell such great love was put into the little details to give us a heart felt experience. Our room overlooked Sonoma Creek and a cute little stone bridge. We had a beautiful private garden that allowed us some time in nature and we were able to enjoy a glass of wine and reflect on our day out. We also had a beautiful in room spa that comforted us after our long cold morning of Zip Lining at Sonoma Zip lining Adventures (amazing experience ask for Brady and Kirsten they were awesome). The bed and pillows welcomed us and we slept so peacefully. The inn is perfectly situated in the town of Glen Ellen, a place I'd never heard of and honestly thought would not be the highlight of our visit given Sonoma is minutes away, but it was a place that dazzled us in so many ways and we ended up spending most of our time there. Home to Jack London, we visited a few amazing places including the Jack London Saloon and Lodge, the Michelin star restaurant called the Glen Ellen Star (It was literally next door to the Glen Ellen Inn), Garden Court Cafe, Sonoma Zip-lining Adventures (about 50 minutes away), Yeti Restaurant (Indian Food), Les Pascals Patisserie and Boulangerie, Tips Roadside for brunch (Kenwood), Walt wine tasting room (Sonoma Plaza, partner to Hall winery in St. Helena), Sonoma Mission, Harvey's Donut Bar (Sonoma Plaza), Prohibition Spirits Distillery (Sonoma Plaza), and Murthy's Irish Pub (Sonoma Plaza)....because you have to visit an Irish Pub wherever you go;). I honestly couldn't thank Karen and Chris more and I am looking forward to coming back and enjoying their cottages and Bar once it reopens. Karen and Chris, thank you so much for the stay and for the thoughtful touches and recommendations. Hope to see you again soon.

I loved this hotel. The staff were always around cleaning something and they seemed genuinely pleasant. And while the whole place could use a fresh coat of paint, everything was clean and smelled clean. We were there for a wedding event and most of the party stayed at the Sheraton Hotel. We chose Quality Inn because I just couldn't stomach the idea of paying so much money that the Sheraton wanted. But because most of the party was there, we spent most of our time at the Sheraton. Here are some differences: S=$$$ Q=$$. S=Not clean (the cushions in the dining room and carpets were HORRIBLE Q=Very clean, S=Staff was okay but no smiles Q=Accommodating (one member even saw that I was having a hard time making a bow for my gift and she offered to do it for me-had the wire and everything as she used to work in a florist shop) and they were all smiling. S=No breakfast-not even free coffee on the tables and/or lobby Q=FREE (wonderful) continental breakfast.

I came for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Very clean room and there are free coffee and tea whole day at the lobby. Also there is gym room and laundry room as well. I love the pool there even though it was quite cold these past two days. I love the breakfast as well. Lastly, it was closed to Petaluma outlet and it was nice this morning to go shopping.

RRhoda CNice place and location. We appreciate Sandra who assisted us during the check-in and providing excellent service. Will definitely be back.
TTonyP522We enjoyed our four night stay here, mainly because of our excellent room (which was immaculate). However, we found that the John Ash restaurant had a limited menu - even for a four night stay, with no change in the choices. We noted that there was no access to the pool (it appeared to be undergoing renovation) but we were not made aware of this before or during our stay: we just found out. No alternative was offered. Walking through the attached vineyard was pleasant. It would have been good to have the offer of a simple tour at a modest cost rather than the expensive one with an included picnic which seemed to be the only option. We would stay at Vintners Resort again, but perhaps not eat there in the evenings.
TtongbbThe Astro is a super-cute retro styled hotel, which was completely developed with the Instagram generation in mind. We arrived and headed into the office to complete the paperwork, and then headed to our room. I was a bit concerned about the concrete floor, which was a little cold, but it did warm up once the heating had been on for a while. There is a communal lounge and this is where breakfast is available. The selection was limited, but with granola that good, who cares? If you want more to eat, there is a very nice cafe across the street. The communal outdoor seating central area looked nice too, but the weather was too chilly to enjoy it during our stay. The orange trees were beautiful. The hotel is around 20-mins walk to the town centre. We were visiting Russian River, and the walk there and back was safe and easy. The mid-centuty styling of the hotel is it's major selling point, and it does make it a little more expensive, but it was worth it. I liked it.
GGuest UserWonderful experience at Sandman. Dog friendly, sparkling clean, well kept, excellent breakfast with a cool pancake making machine and beautiful fresh fruit. Refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave in the room were very convenient. Pool and hot tub were well maintained. Fire pit area was fun for hanging out. We were very comfortable and happy for our three night stay. Conveniently right off the 101 and close to town of Santa Rosa, wineries, shopping and restaurants.
GGuest UserI have stayed at The Flamingo Resort in the past and had no issued with the rooms. This time the room I was given reminded me of a cheaper motel in the 1960’s. I think this was a pet friendly room. Not what I expected. The floor was old concrete that was sealed and polished with only a round throw rug. There were no chairs, only a wood framed bench with a window seat seat type pad to sit on. The table was shaped like a small surfboard with only a small hassock to sit on. The room was clean and I decided it was good enough for my one night stay. That said, I was not happy with the $35.00 “resort fee” that was charged for this room.
GGuest UserWe rented the King Suite with jetted tub. The room was one of the most spacious rooms we've ever stayed in, it made us feel like we were in an apartment. The room was neat and clean, and seemed well taken care of. Staff was friendly and efficient, check-in and check-out was fast and convenient. The breakfast room was well stocked, clean, and very pleasant to eat breakfast. This will be our go to hotel in Sonoma County from now on.
MMichael PI reserved a room at North Bay Inn, 1875 Mendocino Ave, Santa Rosa, CA, US, 95401 for two nights; October 25 and October 26, 2019. Because of the Kincaid Fire, the airport was closed and my flight from Santa Rosa to Los Angeles was canceled both on October 27 and October 28. I had to request another night's lodging from the management of North Bay Inn. When I requested another night, I was shocked by the rude, inappropriate and incredibly angry response I received from the manager, an Asian Indian woman who would not give me her name. American Airlines called me at 9 AM to inform me of my flight cancelation. I immediately called the manager at 9:15 AM to request another night's stay. This horribly rude woman demanded that I present myself within 15 minutes to the office to surrender my room. I told her that I need some time to pack and dress and requested 30 minutes. She shouted that she had a party of five that needed my room in 30 minutes and if I wasn't out I would not be able to get another room. When I went to the office, she continued to shout at me that she had not had any sleep because of the Kincaid Fire and the owner of the inn was on the phone with her throughout the night. I responded in a calm tone that if she talked to her other guests the way she was talking to me, it was no wonder the manager kept her up all night, as I was sure a number of guests would have complained about her rude, nasty behavior. She denied being rude or shouting as she continued to shout at me. I said okay may I please have another room. She shouted again that I would have to pay ”extra”, even though the room was smaller than the one in which I had stayed the two previous nights. When I asked why the room was so expensive, she again shouted that it was all she had and I had to take it or leave. She rudely said, ”Do you want the room or not? If you don't, get out, we're busy.” I reluctantly took the room. Because of the shabby way I was treated, I assure you that I will never stay in this hotel or in any hotel operated by the owners of this establishment ever again. It is my hope that these unworthy innkeepers will lose business until the manager is replaced by a stable, professional, customer serving individual. As a post note, when my taxi arrived at the hotel to pick me up, this crazed women came running out of the office to demand what he was doing there? I ask you, since when is it strange to see a taxi enter a hotel parking lot? The woman is deranged.
