Great location just on edge of village so very quiet but easy to get to restaurants supermarket .
Reception person very friendly and welcoming, breakfast staff also very friendly and quick to ensure you’re satisfied offering more coffee etc.
Court yard and terrace great to chill.
Large room
Good shower and bathroom.
Ample plug points.
Brilliant continental breakfast with wide range of meats cheeses bread pastries yoghurt etc of (no hot food)
Noisy neighbours clunking about due to design of building. You can here water running and toilet flushing. Also noise from staff preparing breakfast etc - ideally wear earplugs if you’re a light sleeper . Don’t let this put you off though the positives outweigh this.

Worth the price of 150 Euros for three nights in Jan. Simple basic rooms with everything you need for a few nights self catering, (although no microwave or oven). Two small single beds put together (which also moved apart easily so not easy to cuddle up as a couple). Self check in was simple, reception open from 9am to 11am where you can also hire walking poles. One the first day our TV and heater was broken. Instant replies on WhatsApp and a heater provided immediately. The TV was never fixed (but we could watch Netflix on our phones as the Wi-Fi was good). Water pressure was a bit hit and miss in the shower, but the water was hot and the bathroom was clean. The lounge area was comfortable with a good selection of books to read, and other guests very respectable so it was quiet. The views are stunning, great to have a balcony., but be aware that as this is in the mountains it rains a lot. There are lots of walks you can do from Hermigua, We did Ruta 37, which is a 7km round trip but as it had been raining for two days prior the route was treacherous in some places and it took a lot longer than the suggested 4 hours. Definitely take walking poles and be prepared for this route to be incredibly steep near El Cedro. Coming back down is worse because of the slippery surfaces. For comparison, up and down El Teide in Tenerife I would rate 6/10 for difficulty, but this I would rate 9/10 (I am an average middle age slightly overweight hiker). Definitely go to Los Telares restaurant whilst you are there. The BEST food and great vegetarian selections. NB: Not many people speak great English in LA Gomera (and why should they? - but if you are used to Los Christianos this may be a surprise). Download the Google translate app and download Spanish so you can use it when you are out of mobile signal

Just got back from the jardin Tecina after spending a very relaxing Christmas there. Room as requested was first floor and in a quiet area, so thank you to Barbara ( head of reservations) for sorting that out. A la carte restaurants pre booked thanks to the brilliant public relations ladies. So with all that sorted we had gone into relax mood as soon as we checked in. Spend every day round the club Laurel swimming pool, great place to chill and read a book.most families use the main pool area so it makes the laurel pool very peaceful. Of a night we always eat in the a la carte restaurants. El laurel and fandango dealt with my wife's gluten and dairy intolerance with ease. The food and service in both restaurants were second to none, both offer a five course set menu for a very small supplement or you can order off the menu and get a discount . After our meals we headed for the piano bar, nice to listen to a guitarist for a change , guy was really good something maybe management look at in the future using this guy a bit more regularly Breakfast like most hotels have a vast choice but what's lovely is they serve coffee and milk to the table and have a selection of rolls and cakes for people with gluten and dairy allergies. Just tell the waiter/waitress and they bring them to the table. If your after a very relaxing holiday in a hotel set in beautiful gardens, eat amazing food and be surrounded by brilliant staff who will go that extra mile to make your holiday even more relaxing then this is the place for you

Great location beautiful house and garden. And very good breakfast though little choice probably due to Corona. Due to Corona also, it's quite empty and we encountered a cockroach.

GGuest UserBeautiful hotel with wonderful facilities and services including private pools with plenty of sunbeds, a gym, spa, art exhibition room, games room with pool tables and football tables and TVs showing live sports matches. There are also organised daytime activities and evening entertainment. I loved the neutral and mint earth tone colourway theme throughout the hotel which is very calming and relaxing. I also respect the hotel's commitment to sustainability by installing water filleting machines to reuse bottles and refillable soap and shampoo dispensers.
My room was warm, cozy and clean with a nice balcony view and a variety of tv channel and movie selections including Netflix. The cleaning lady was kind to remake my bed from two twin beds into a large double bed with beautiful flower petal decorations and chocolate truffle treats which were delicious and I appreciated the additional touches. The breakfast was delicious ans very filling, presented in a buffet style with so much variety and choice of different stations within the dining room (cereal and granola; fruit, salad and juice bar; toast and baguette station; pattessarie station; hot English breakfast station with a section dedicated to different preparations of eggs).
Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location with stunning sea and mountain hill views and has direct access to Torviscas Beach which is less than a 3-minute walk. There are also many local shops, bars and restaurants including a mcdonalds by the beach.
I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely revisit in the future!
GGuest UserGreat location, 10 minutes walk down to the beach. There are 2 pools, one heated and always sun beds available. Did hear they had a booking system for these but we never had to.
Bars, restaurants and a shop on the complex which was useful. The only issue was they had live music on from 4pm every day and it seemed unnecessarily loud. It didn’t bother us too much but can imagine it would be a nightmare if you had a balcony closer to the bars.
Apartment was great, balcony overlooking the pool and very well equipped. The staff left a bottle of wine for my partners 30th while we were there which was a nice touch.
Would stay again, but would definitely recommend emailing ahead and asking for a room away from the bars.
We travelled as a family of four, two adults and two children aged 14 and 10. This was our first visit to Tenerife and we visited during October half term. There were positives and a couple of negatives but overall we had a good time, I just don't think it was the right location for us. Room - duplex one bedroom apartment. Wonderfully spacious and clean, beds all very comfortable. The extra beds in the living room area were much better than some of the converted 'sofa beds' we have experienced on other holidays. I would be worried about the layout if my children were younger but perfect for us. Only negatives for the room was the hot water would run out after 2 people had showered. Reception said each room have a small individual water tank so it needed 15 mins to re heat the water. After staggering our showers we all had hot water. Cleaning service and fresh towels daily if that is your preference. Despite the hot water it was one of the best rooms we have stayed in as a family of four over 14 years of all inclusive holidays across Spain. Location - the hotel is a long way from the heart of the resort and the beach. We did walk to the main shopping area one day and walk back, it was about 4.5 miles (according to my fitness app). There are no shops close by but the hotel has a small onsite supermarket that was reasonably priced. The hotel also has little independent sellers some days offering things like jewellery, clothing, trinkets. The hotel felt a bit isolated when we are used to a daily holiday stroll to the tourist areas but if you are someone who doesn't want to leave the hotel they do bring a lot of extras to you. The hotel is on the side of a mountain and there are lots of steps, didn't bother us at all as we appreciated the views from our balconies but may be an issue for less able bodied visitors. Dining - We found the restaurant very busy on certain days, this is the first All Inclusive we have been on where we have had to queue for a table (not all days) and the queues were sometimes very large. It felt like the restaurant wasn't big enough when the hotel was at capacity (although I have to say the staff work so hard to get the tables cleaned and people seated). Once seated, when busy, it was very chaotic, in my opinion there were not enough food serving areas so long queues formed and not all food was available (often a long wait for the chef cooked meat). Food standard for me is that of a budget 4 star, we certainly didnt starve but the food was definitely not 'wow'. Given what we paid I think it was value for money, the chaos annoyed me more than the standard of the food. Best meal of the day was breakfast. Self service drinks in the restaurant and no issue with that, all drinks were a good quality. Pool bar, opens at 11am. We very much appreciated the self service cokes/lager/wines. So nice not to queue for these. Cocktails/slushies available from the pool bar and never a large queue. The food area has a lot of flies whic
GGuest UserLovely hotel at a very good location. Modern, nicely decorated for Christmas. Polite staff, good choice for breakfast and dinner. Christmas dinner was something out of this world( been to many hotels, but Xmas dinner now will be hard to match). Not sure if it is always like this but we were the youngest in the hotel(43&47)during the first part of holidays and only later some other younger people joined us. The average age was 60's 😁 This hotel is not orientated to children but for us it was perfect- no screaming and shouting and our girl had fun in the pool by
Herself and her cousin🤣 I wanted to book Spring Hotel Bitacora at first but now I am thinking that I made an excellent choice . That said, I might try it out next time just because of the All nclusive service Bitacora provides. It was a nice quiet stay so if you expect something like Turkey, eith music around the pool, kids disco and shows, this hotel is not for you. We were half board and 4 days we ate at the pool bar and were never disappointed. Good food and reasonable prices. We didn't book UP option because we were with the kids( it's for 18+)but if I ever come without them- I will try it out!
Pros:
Very good location
Modern hotel
Heated pools( wheelchair friendly)
Good food and service
Cons:
No shampoo in a room! It's a first for me 🙈
The tiles in the pool (mosaic) need replacement. My daughter filled probably half of the carrier bag from the bottom saw of the pool🤣
All in all- perfect stay and believe me, I am picky. It is one of the hotels I would recommend to my friends and family
LLolaI went on holiday with my partner far away to celebrate our anniversary and we were super lucky and got an upgrade to one of the duplex with golf views, absolutely beautiful and massive for the 2 of us, but it was a bit disappointed as the room was not clean enough and the housekeeper had to come to clean the bathroom a bit better and also the horrible stains on the floor in the room but after that everything was perfect and we were very happy. The hotel is very good located if you are looking for a quiet place to stay far away from the hubbub but be aware that you need to take taxi to get the beach or rent a bike or a car, walking distance is not an option. The swimming pools are really good and you have plenty of space to sunbathing. The staff at the hotel are exceptional and with a high level of customer service and always willing to help, special mention to Martin from the restaurant and also Raul and Diana from the Reception, very good customers service and happy to help. The breakfast was really good and we were very impressed with plenty of variety for everyone and the staff really efficient. On the negative side we would like to mention that we would have liked a small touch from the hotel to say congratulations as we got engaged and we mentioned to Diana and Raul from the Reception and also to Martin but not a small little thing to say congratulations like a card or 2 glasses of prosecco or kind of. About the room, we would like to mention that the mattress are not very comfy as you expect from a 4* hotel and even though the room was very well equipped we missed a bin in the room and we had to use the one from the bathroom in the living room. We did not eat at the restaurant so I cannot tell about the food there and we did not use the gym or the spa either. We will definitely come back next year.
GGuest UserEverything corresponds to the description and photographs, clean, cozy, friendly staff, nearby there is a store, a kiosk with excursions, a bus station, a beach (waves, always a red flag), you can walk to the city beach with swimming pools, the nature is very beautiful, everything is super.
Myself and my wife visited this hotel late October for 10 days. We had not visited this hotel before however had seen it many times and saw it being rehabbed over the last few years. Result was that it was almost as new when we visited. Rooms were very modern and comfortable. The property was recommended in the Jet2 brochure as 4 star. From my previous experiences in other hotels this hotel was higher than this rating. I am not aware of the rating algorithm however this felt like 5 star. Room was great. Cleanliness excellent and cleaning staff very efficient. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, choices and quality were way above average. We did eat out occasionally as we do but did so much less this time as the food was so good. All inclusive bar drinks and service, again first class. Pool area very clean and always got 2 beds and an umbrella at any time of visit. The hotel is almost fully up to speed and new bars are due opening soon- Sports bar I think is one. It looked finished when we were there and will be another asset to this hotel. We had seen some negative comments on Trip Advisor before we came out which seemed to be around food quality and choice. We could not see where these criticism's could have come from as they were not apparent during our visit. Maybe the teething issues referred to in the Hotel's replies were there initially and have been resolved. Good for them. My last comment is that if you are considering this hotel do yourself a favour and book. I dont think you'll be disappointed.
I had two persons room in the northern corner of the building. The room is spacious with large bathroom and a corridor and built-in wardrobe. The hotel is nicely decorated and well maintained. The balcony was towards south-east, not very large with a table and two chairs. But as wind in El Medano is always strong and comes from the east it was not comfortable to use it, also WiFi doesn't work on the balcony and part of the room away from the corridor. There room has a fridge and electronic safety box, and TV. There are two electric sockets next to the beds, but unfortunately only one socket next to the table, which is already engaged by the fridge. The hotel staff speaks well English and is friendly. One can access the hotel either with electronic card or with PIN code of the main door and your room. The PINs are sent by email, so I suppose late arrival after 19.00, when reception closes, is possible. The hotel is located almost in the middle of El Medano, next to the only shopping center of the city featuring SuperDino and quite noisy bar. There is also smaller Supermercado Guai in 200 m. But take into accound El Medano is a very small town 1 km in diameter, so everything is in walking distance. El Medano beach is just in 300 m from the hotel. All beaches in El Medano and to the east of it are open for the wind. So they are mostly occupied by the surfers and kite-surfers. There is a small part of El Medano beach protected by the mole. 3 km to the west there is La Tejita beach, which is covered from the wind by the Montaña Roja, also offering great views over the area. There is buses 411 and 408 from El Medano going to San Isidro, where you can change to bus to the Southern Airport, other directions or do more substantial shopping in Mercadona, Lidl or HiperDino. San Isidro bus station has a machine for topping up Ten+ bus cards. In the evining people gather at Plaza del Medano, which is quite vibrant place taking into account the town is tiny comparing to Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas.
GGuest UserI had a brilliant time at this hostel and met some lovely people. The place is kept clean, the common room is a great size, and there's space to hang wet things after going in the sea/washing clothes. Lights go off at 11pm so people can sleep if they want. The location is perfect - minutes from the beach and restaurants etc. I felt that some of the staff could have been friendlier and more inclusive but overall would definitely recommend this place to solo travellers.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They do serve delicious meals, loved the servings of their breakfast, and being a coffee drinker, they have the most delicious one there. The location in the Center of the city, the beach is 30 minutes with the public transport 5 minutes walk from the hotel. By car it’s 10-15 minutes. A perfect spot to go for evening walks. The area feels very safe in the evening, the city Center is very lively even during the week days. The area is Perfect for people travelling alone and couples or even families.
