We were lured by the descriptions on the hotel website into paying an eye-watering price for a ‘deluxe’ suite at La Farandole, expecting it to be the highlight of our long-awaited 20th anniversary roadtrip. Sadly, it was the worst four days of our vacation. The only luxurious thing about this suite was the view. Everything else was a 3-Star standard at best. The hotel is situated at the end of a quiet beach with stunning sea views and a nice-looking pool but the property has many serious defects and problems. Strangely, the door to our suite shared a foyer with the staff entrance to a noisy kitchen and storeroom. Our ‘private’ terrace was not attached to our suite as implied on the website. Instead, there is a separate rooftop terrace that can be booked by guests. The suite itself has only a tiny balcony with two chairs and a table. We had access to the private roof terrace and jacuzzi but the stairwell is locked - ‘for staff use only’ so we had to take a slow elevator to the roof each time. This meant an awkward wait in the public corridor outside the restaurant. The water in the jacuzzi was filthy with dead insects and yellow foam. It was only cleaned on our third day. The worst problem was the nasty sewage smell in our suite. We reported it several times to the manager because the smell kept us awake at night. It was only fixed on our third day (with many apologies) and the installation of an air-freshener. The other issues were minor but collectively annoying. The bed was cheap and basic with small lumpy pillows and a bedsheet that did not fit properly. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. The bathroom and shower were good quality but there were no ‘luxury’ amenities as promised in the marketing - there was a cheap hair-dryer attached to the wall that kept cutting out. The wifi did not work in our room and the unit was eventually replaced by the manager (with more apologies), but only after a rude technician kept insisting it was a problem with our own ‘foreign’ devices. There was a coffee maker and a small mini-bar in the wardrobe but nowhere to store any wine or snacks. We received a complementary bottle of mineral water every second day but they forgot to replenish our glasses and the phone to reception was rarely answered, which meant frequent trips to the front desk. The reception staff were friendly and kind and clearly hardworking. They were very apologetic about the many problems we encountered but unable to do anything about our room or price. Housekeeping was sporadic and we had to go hunting for pool towels to use on the terrace. These were not changed for the full duration of our stay. The sun-beds on the terrace were dirty and in disrepair, with bits of old scratchy velcro where the pillows had once been. On day one we found an old cigarette butt on the lounger that was still there when we left. We tried to book appointments at the hotel spa, which looked nice, but we were told they were fully booked - even though the h

The hotel was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very friendly and helpful. If we had time, the swimming pool seemed very welcome this July month. The room was a little sparse but with a refrigerator and kitchenette, so effective as it has a small balcony and air conditioning !! If you want to spend 15 days at *********s in a romantic and mouthful place, The hotel is not the best placed, but I recommend for the price and gentleness and the reception of the hostess that took our reservation.

The hotel is very comfortable and a variety of facilities available to spend time with children: ping pong, baby-foot, indoor games. The very quiet swimming pool between 11:30 and 15:30. The staff is very available and pleasant while being discreet. The hotel is very clean and some holidaymakers believe all is allowed, including breakfast.

This is the 2th eme we come and this hotel meets our expectations: a very good location in the centre of the bandol, a location for the car included in the price what is not negligible, a very good litter. We also liked the large 20 m2 room, with kitchen corner and its nespresso machine , the kindness of staff that as soon as he can overclass it ( we were overclassed 2 times) without forgeting a beautiful terrace with view of the port , The winter side is surprising at the first floor but makes the place warm

Beautiful setup within a golf course and vineyards, but just missing a beach access. Great Staff, very kind and smiling. Amazing Breakfast with products of quality. But the hotel is a bit oldish and needs renovation of the rooms/bathrooms and improvements in the building. Nice swimming pool, but too bad it is divided into 3 bassins instead of a big one for long swims...

We had an unplanned 4 night stay at the hotel following a break in to our camper van (which was parked by the naval barracks in central Toulon). All of our personal belongings were stolen, including our passports; all we had with us was our little dog, his food and feeding bowls and the clothes we were wearing. We arrived very late in the evening to the hotel (without a reservation) and still in complete shock. We were able to securely park our damaged van in the underground car park and made our way to reception. There, we were met by Kevin, who was brilliant and very understanding - he made sure we had everything we needed before we went to bed that night. The next morning, we had a huge amount of admin and logistics to navigate, as our original plan was to travel onwards to Mallorca, and this is when we met Samuel. There were countless times that myself and partner asked Samuel for his help and advice with trying to print documents and assist with communicating on our behalf. Our French isn’t very good and the team’s English is excellent! He went above and beyond to help us. Nothing was a problem despite him and the team being very busy. We met Bernard a few days into our stay and he also demonstrated the same will to help, cheerfulness and professionalism. He was able to find a good vet for us close to the hotel who was able to help with paperwork and worming treatment for our dog so we could return together back to the U.K. We are extremely grateful to Kevin, Samuel and Bernard for their fantastic service and help. It made a huge difference to us following a very stressful experience. Although most of our interactions were with the guys, we could see that the entire team work really well together and are very organised. There is a good rapport between them all. An amazing hotel in the La Ciotat/Cassis area! The hotel is brand-new and well amenitized. Well thought out spaces for the lobby area and other public spaces. We had a lovely room with a view overlooking La Ciotat bay as well as the Mediterranean Sea! So amazing! The highlight of the visit however was the great service offered by Yuxuan and Belver at the Front Desk! They took such great care of us during the stay and ensured our visit was perfect! Five star service indeed!
