Staying at The Farmhouse, and experience the amazing NGO work and initiatives by Smiling Gecko was a true eye opener. The many initiatives are creating the circumstances for a better future, for generations in Cambodia, something I recommend all to experience, and support, first hand. The Farmhouse makes for a perfect work conference environment, with excellent facilities, food, activities, and relax. Well done Hannes, Daniel and Team. And Chef Mariya.

While I was here for business, I want to return for again for a holiday and to unwind. The Farmhouse is the perfect location to re-set from the pace of city life; I was struck by the green surroundings, and the peace & quiet. My accommodation in a traditional Khmer house was wonderful - I wish I had more time to enjoy it all the more! The staff members were friendly, the food delicious, and libations at the poolside bar were fantastic, many with a local twist. I appreciate that the Farmhouse supports the local community, and that money spent goes into it, rather than a faceless corporation. I highly recommend The Farmhouse … an easy 2 hours (maybe a bit less depending on traffic) out of Phnom Penh, it’s absolutely worth a visit. Stay as long as you can!

we truly enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. service was excellent. rooms great. the fact that proceeds also go to the smiling gecko project, supporting the local community, was very important to us. full marks to the team and management. don t miss the farm and school tour
