Amazing guesthouse!! The guesthouse is located in a walking distance from major sightseeing spots in Samarkand such as the Registan Square and the Bibikhonim Mosque. Also the owner was so kind and helpful, which will make your travel experiences better. Would stay here again for the next trip to Samarkand.

By far the best guest house we stayed at in Uzbekistan. Very helpful and friendly host. The entire place is decorated like a history museum, with antiques and collections from the past. Spacious room. 15 minute walk to Registan.

It's good place. It's 10 minutes walking to touristic destination. Owner is polite and helpful. Really appreciate going to room directly and check later. It is really good thing after road. Rooms are well maintained. Good to stay for tourists.

Very good sleep

Everything was good.

The boss is very good. He started his working career and experience in 11111111111111111 and has experienced many things and experiences.

The hotel is very good and hygienic. The toilet is very clean. We are adults taking children together. The main bedding is very good and we sleep very comfortably. I will choose this hotel next time.

I would have given it full marks, but there was no hot water kettle in the room and I had to use it in the kitchen. The host was very helpful, providing maps of scenic spots and buying train tickets on his behalf. English is very good.

The room is tidy, spacious and bright, with a courtyard. The owner speaks English and likes to collect. It's like entering a museum. He was very helpful and could cook. When we ran out of som, the owner took us to several ATMs to exchange coins.

The environment is very warm. The boss can speak English and is very welcoming. There is a kitchen where you can cook your own meals.

No breakfast provided. No bottled water provided. Bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush. No TV. No coffee provided. Located in an alley. However, the owner, Sanjar, is very friendly. The room is clean and comfortable. Perfect for solo backpacking.

Staying at the Musavvir guesthouse was one of the best hotel experiences in Uzbekistan during my entire trip to this country. And in this review I want to express my deep gratitude to the host and founder of the guesthouse, Sanjar. An absolutely wonderful person, friendly, welcoming, open to the world and an educated intellectual with excellent English and Russian! He was always in touch, helped in every possible way and did his best to make our stay in the guesthouse as comfortable as possible. Sanjar repeatedly helped us with advice from an experienced local resident, gave recommendations on the best restaurants and cafes, helped organize an interesting trip to Shakhrisabz with the help of his friend, and at prices lower than those offered in the city. What I would like to immediately note is the design of both the hotel rooms and common areas, decorated in a cute retro lamp style. It is immediately clear that Sanjar has been collecting a collection of antiques with love and for a long time, which has become a decoration and a unique feature of the guesthouse. Both the rooms and common areas are always very clean; everything is new, from bed linen to towels. Our room was very spacious, I could even do yoga in the room without hesitation :-). There is no breakfast in the guesthouse, but given the huge number of catering outlets in Samarkand, this will definitely not be a problem for travelers and will allow you to maintain very reasonable prices for accommodation in the guesthouse. As a summary: I 100% recommend the guesthouse to budget tourists, you can count on the owner’s help in any matter of “local orientation.” If I have the opportunity to return to Samarkand again, I will be very glad to stay with Sanjar again at the Musavvir guesthouse. As a point of growth, and a bit of fair criticism, I note that a couple of times there were short moments when the hot water in the bathroom disappeared, but soon appeared back. If the administration of the guesthouse solves this problem, then I can safely add a plus to my rating of the guesthouse of 5 points! :-)

I stayed here on a solo trip, but the atmosphere was homey and the owner was very kind, so I had a comfortable stay. The hotel is within walking distance of the famous mosque and Registan Square, so it's easy to access and the location is great! There is also a shared kitchen space, so you can cook and drink tea. Toothbrushes and free water are not provided at check-in, so you need to prepare in advance! It was a great place and I would love to stay here again if I come to Uzbekistan ^ ^
