Romantic Hotels in Salou

We booked 4 nights her with a view to visiting the Portaventura theme park. When booked it said parking was available but could not be booked in advance There are roadworks outside the hotel so access is poor and it is all 1 way streets. We eventuality got there and parked in the very right underground parking (13 spaces). Went to reception and was told you have to pre book parking so we had to move as it was booked up. We had to park in a pay and display about 1/2 a mile away which you could only pay for 24 hours at a time 6 euros. So had to keep going back every morning. Walking up the corridor it did not feel like a 4 star hotel. A few chunks missing in the walls that had just been painted over. The lift if it had more that 2 adults and 2 kids in would say overweight and wouldn't move. The room itself was nice and clean and air conditioned. The first morning we had breakfast in the hotel for 11 euros each. It was OK but then found a number of places locally that offered a lot better breakfast for less cost. (8 Euros for full English breakfast). The staff at the hotel were very friendly. The hotel site says it has a safe in the room, which it does. I could not get it to work so asked reception. They advised it is 4 euros per night to use the safe. It is the cost time I have stayed in a 4 star hotel that charged you to use the safe in the room. They said it is because it is provided by an outside company. Overall the hotel is nice and looking at some of the others in the area it is probably one of the better ones. I would not say it is 4 star, more a 3 star or 3 and a half star. We are currently in valencia in another 4 star and that is a totally different level to this. Review of that to follow.

The hotel itself is good looking. The pool area is clean, although the water was freezing, there was always sunbeds available. The life guards were constantly on look out and always telling someone to take off glasses, take floats out the water, general buzz kill life guards in my opinion. The food was always just lukewarm nothing left the kitchen hot. The options were extremely repetitive we had booked all inclusive and ended up eating outside the hotel more than we did inside. The food was the biggest let down in the hotel. There is no all inclusive benefits available while breakfast, lunch or dinner is served. Once dinner has started (7pm) they will no longer provide snacks as part of your all inclusive. The apartment was nice looking, bathroom stocked (shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, towels and hairdryer). The kitchen area had a cooker,microwave and a fridge, although no utensils whatsoever. The beds are supposed to be changed on a daily basis our beds were never changed unless specifically requested. There is a rooftop pool, jacuzzi, sun bed area and bar although all inclusive is not available here. The highlight of the hotel was Woody Woodpecker being there one evening which my son loved. This is classed as a 4 star resort however I fail to see how. I do not recommend staying here. The room was the best thing about it and even that had problems (as mentioned).

Very nice hotel and fantastic buffet breakfast. The only downside is that we were two couples in different rooms and one had a single large bed and the other two beds together. Very good location to spend two days in the park. Very kind employees.

Very comfortable stay in the hotel with very good facilities. Acceptable food at the level of a hotel buffet. The only drawback was the scandal that occurred in the next room, although that is not the hotel's problem but rather society's...

The hotel is great, has a very chill and modern hall. The reception staff are super friendly and attentive. Not so much the cabins who serve in the buffet at breakfast that was the only thing we consumed there. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. No loss is the villa hotel, the scenery is very good, the facilities are good, there is a swimming pool on the first floor, all aspects are more convenient, next to the Ferrari amusement park, is the 18 euro buffet to drink water need to pay separately

Fantastic!! First impressions clean ,tidy entrance.friendly staff on reception and in the shop. Room very clean and cool, balcony nice with 2 chairs and a table.but the view overlooked the street with local shops etc, bathrooms great, ( except a tiny bit of mould by the shower- which could easily be cleaned). Lovely white towels, some toiletries.cleaners were great came in daily if needed. Breakfast was typical cooked breakfast. My son only had toast. But he really fussy. I loved the croissants and fresh fruit, fresh melon. Coffee was amazing. 3 mint walk to the beach. 2 jacuzzi’s, 1 a bit colder than the other, but still warm. These are cleaned and emptied daily at 9ish! It’s not busy, which is a bonus but it’s a shame as the hotel is fantastic. Only negative is you have to pay for use of fridge and I would love to have English to channels or even Netflix to make it a bit better- especially if you have kids. I can’t wait to come back. September 14th 2024. The good. I have been to this hotel before, in late September of 2015. Not much changed in terms of room or amenities as far as I can remember. It has always been a very good hotel in Salou. Clean, spacious rooms, good beds and awesome showers, great pool area for those windy days, close to the beach and nice restaurant La Gaviota right across the street. Very good security and next to grocery chain store Michelangelo. The bad. In my hotel experience I have never met a front person that is more unfriendly, unwelcoming and snobbish than this gentleman named Alpha. This guy acted like he was a descendant of some African Royal family that was forced to work front desk the minute we walked in and had some questions. I really got these reversed Coming to America vibes. Not a single smile, snobbish answers to normal questions. Just silly, pretentious attitude and mannerisms. Front concierges switch shifts with sister hotel Blaumar which is considered to be an upgrade so I felt like he wasn't happy being at Magnolia shift. Thank to all African Gods he was the only front person that had something up his behind. Everyone else was very helpful and friendly. In particular I want to mention Valeria. She helped me late night to get hot tea to the room when my wife caught a light cold. Rest of the gentlemen were also great. Except this Alpha who is more like a Kappa.

Brilliant hotel. The place was spotless and the staff were friendly. Despite some reviews saying it was not suitable for children, we felt that it was during our experience. The hotel provided a baby bath & cot no issues. There is also a baby room for microwaving and warming bottles. There’s a little kids section which our little boy loved and he had the opportunity to socialise with other babies. He also enjoyed the play area outside. My mother-in-law requested a kettle for her room, which was promptly provided with no issues. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. The bar by the pool served lovely drinks and snacks. Cleaning staff were attentive and the rooms were left tidy whenever cleaned. The rooms were generous in size. The hotel is in a great location and we struggled to find any fault during our stay. We utilised the spa one day due to bad weather and both my mother-in-law and I were happy with our massage and facial. We would return again and recommend to others! Thank you.
