Stayed for one night, rented out four rooms for a reasonable price considering the location and quality. Staff was extremely kind, food was amazing, rooms were very cute and maintained the original vibe of the older building while having very modern bathrooms. Everything was in working order and it seemed like every small detail was thought of. Our rooms had working tvs, fans, and comfortable bedding and the bathrooms had heated towel racks and shower toiletries. The stay was overall very enjoyable and I would definitely come again. :)

Needs attention as it is run down and not the lovely grand hotel you expect from the outside (how it used to be)and I appreciate this is a small city hotel but very expensive for a room without breakfast the decor is tatty and although it is a 100 % no smoking hotel the corridors near our room smelt of smoke Car parking was a nightmare with limited space ( all full) and because we arrived after 8p/m the multi storey was closed and the nearest car park was short stay only the very helpful lady in reception let us park in a staff area but you have to pay The room was clean and tidy and bed was comfortable Papers were said to be included in room price but you had to go to reception to pick one up and there were only independent papers no choice of any others There must have been a large party on as breakfast was laid up in the reception/foyer area which wasn’t very nice Such a shame this hotel needs some love really disappointed that Mercure have let it get so run down
The room is clean and comfortable.
The light is sufficient, the room is large and moderate
The front desk service is good, kind and courteous

I had previously booked a cricket court hotel and could not stay due to room restrictions. I temporarily rebooked this hotel. Although the cricket court hotel agreed to cancel, I still charged 80 pounds a day for my room. Houses from the past, designed very warm, the courtyard has characteristics, the rooms are comfortable, will stay again in the future

Lovely hotel. Stayed overnight after a ladies day trip to Salisbury races. The bar shuts at 11pm so not able to get a drink when we got back and no room service which is a bit disappointing, but there is a bar and lovely outside terrace and garden which was open earlier on in the day. Stylish, comfy rooms and bathrooms and a lovely choice for breakfast, although £15 extra which on top of a £200 nightly stay I think should have been included. Overall a lovely place to stay and would return.

All the staff were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we had all we needed. The food was incredible and the drinks were reasonably priced. Perfect location- just a few minutes walk to the bars, shops and cathedral. We had a very luxurious stay & would love to visit again!

Very satisfied with hotel facilities and services.
Arriving early, I stored my luggage and received the room key. When I returned to the hotel in the evening, my luggage had been put in the room.
The room is very clean: the bedding is very comfortable, the bathroom facilities are new and clean,
There are heart-warming biscuits, freshly baked mini sponge cakes, and (heated) air conditioning; toiletries are made of 100% natural ingredients; the breakfast is rich and delicious; it is close to the train station, making travel convenient. There was a train passing by outside the window, but the sound insulation was good and the train stopped running at night, so it was not affected.

Opposite salisbury railway station, it is very suitable as a small base for people who want to go to stonehenge or other places, because the shuttle bus to Stonehenge is also here. I booked a suite. The front desk was very kind. The small hotel also prepared chocolate beans, apples, breakfast cereals, yogurt, etc. for free, which was very heartwarming. But it is a pity that I stayed very busy for 2 days. I ran around and didn't have much time to relax. The environment of the room was really good. There were high stools in the kitchen. It was convenient to play with mobile phones and computers while eating. If I have time, I really want to live here for a week.
It should be noted that the front desk closes at 5 o'clock. Check-in after this can only be done by yourself.
The closest food shop to the small hotel is in the train station, which is expensive. It is recommended to keep walking along the main road in front of the railway station. There are many restaurants and small supermarkets on both sides of the road. Near a bunch of buses are commercial areas, suitable for shopping.
I wanted to take pictures when I left, but I forgot.

This is the worst premier inn we have ever stayed in. We had originally booked South Milford in Salisbury but had a phone call the day before travelling to say that apparently, there had been a flood in the room we were due to stay in and we had no choice but to transfer to bishopdown which was extremely annoying as we had chosen the other hotel for location. On arrival the two young reception staff were sitting outside on the kerb talking and made no attempt to man the reception hence we, and others were kept waiting. Check in was unfriendly and unwelcoming. The hotel is very run down and in need of refurbishment. We were offered no upgrade nor compensation for the inconvenience of having to transfer. A very broken nights sleep due to other noisy guests at 2am right through to 4am. Premier inn apparently guarantee a good night so we waited in reception the following morning to complain. There were no staff available. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Outstanding
We cannot fault this place at all. A wonderful experience. This is a small and friendly place to stay with personal service and attention from the owners Paula and Cyrille. It was beautifully and tastefully decorated for Christmas. The rooms were spacious; warm and spotlessly clean. The food was amazing! For dinner we had the mussels with frites; the sirloin beef and the lamb shank. All 3 dishes were tasty and generous in size - we cleared our plates! My sister and I shared the selection of mini desserts - 6 portions which were just the right size. My brother had a fabulous cheese board with a great chutney. The prices were very reasonable and the service was faultless. There is a small and cosy bar for before and after dinner drinks. After a good night's sleep in comfortable beds and peaceful surroundings we had the best cooked breakfast ever. We can't wait to return. Thank you so much.
GGuest UserWow - what a wonderful short and not long enough stay we had in the junior stable last night. By coincidence, we arrived on the beautiful drive just before one of the owners. She approached us straight away to check we were happy with everything in the cottage. At the time we hadn’t had enough time to look inside properly but wish we had the opportunity to tell her how impressed and pleased we were! My partner, who was on a business trip, only changed the booking in the morning to include myself and our toddler. When we arrived a few hours later, there was a travel cot, with bedding, in the room. We then discovered toys and a book for him too - we were so touched by the extra thought and detail put in and our little boy felt at home right away. On the bed was a hamper of cereal, coffee pods for the nespresso machine, jams, bread rolls and so much more. We were so very impressed by all of the fine attention to detail and the excellent quality of all the amenities and appliances. Everything was done to a very high standard. When we arrived there was the warm glow of a bedside lamp and calm music playing on the Amazon Alexa device. We also loved their ethos of being environmentally friendly. In the evening, we booked a table at the Wheatsheaf pub just across the road. The food was excellent - we both enjoyed two courses very much!. Nothing we asked was too much of the staff and they were very friendly. We could go on about how wonderful our stay was but need some rest after our journey back to Cornwall! We can’t wait to come back and spend more time at the wonderful Stonehenge Cottages in the future. Thank you.
LLIWENThe hotel gives a pleasant surprise. Whether it's room facilities, comfort or location, it's great. Family hotel, the enthusiastic lady at the front desk is the boss. Very kind and enthusiastic. Help me book a taxi and ask me for all kinds of information. Very lucky to choose this hotel. highly recommended!
We stayed for 2 nights, family of 3 adults and 2 children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the apartment loft with 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed. The room was clean when we arrived, a cot and highchair was already in the room and there was even a baby blanket which was a lovely touch. My eldest son slept on the sofa bed which was more than adequate for him however I would say this is only suitable for a child. We all slept very well, the beds were comfy and despite it being on the main road it was extremely quiet inside. I will definitely stay here again when we come and visit for our yearly family trip. If you stay during the warmer months then I would suggest bringing a portable fan, the air coolers provided aren’t great but we did bring our own fans and slept with the windows open. Everything you need is provided. A fabulous stay.
Excellent in every way. Large comfortable rooms, well furnished, and supplied with plenty of treats. Dinner and Breakfast both excellent with a good choice of options. Lovely old world atmosphere in the bar and restaurant, with wood fires and comfortable seating. Helpful, friendly staff who go the extra mile to make you welcome. we will be back!
We booked for a long weekend and certainly chose the right hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us, the food was lovely, we had breakfast every day and it was spot on, we eat two evening meals including a Sunday lunch and again we could not fault the staff or the food. I have already been recommending this hotel to friends and family, rooms lovely and clean and full of character. The only very slight issue was our room was facing the road and over the bar, so it was a little noisy at times, but this didn't spoil what was a lovely stay.
SsrividhyaEverything was amazing, starting from the checin process, cleanliness, amenities in the room. Very close to Stonehenge and would definitely recommend to families.
We booked a room at the hotel and were given room 313 in the corner next to the fire escape on the 1st floor. The room itself was clean and tidy so no complaints there, my issues are that myself and my wife who are of an average build had too enter the room 1 at a time as it was a tight squeeze because of the queen size bed in the room, 2nd was we had too boil the kettle on the floor as there was no plug at the Tea and Coffee shelf in the room which was very unsafe and had the potential for an accident. 3rd there was no table for my wife to do her makeup or place her straighteners so they had to be on the floor and makeup done on bed. We don't ever complain but the money we paid for the room it should of had the essentials required. Yes people will say why didn't you change rooms, simple answer we paid the same as friends but didn't know until morning that there rooms were larger and more comfy.
