The Artisan at Tuscan Village, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

This was a great place to stay! There is a little mini city right outside the door with tons of stuff to do.

Nice facility and surroundings

Excellent stay in every way. Immaculate. Friendly helpful staff. Awesome restaurants. Great sheets and bed. Lots of shopping in walking distance. The only frustrating part was that onsite restaurants don’t allow room charges. We can’t wait to return!

Excellent accommodations at the Artisan Hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and we had plenty of space for us and our dogs. Our room was at the end of a hallway, and it was so quiet! Staff was friendly and the location perfect for walking around the Tuscan Village in Salem. We would definitely stay there again.

Pros - Great location with shops and restaurants right outside of its doors and overall great proximity to everything you need (including easy highway access) -Nice shower/spacious bathroom Cons -The hallway was lined with trash bags when we arrived and was noticeably hot, so that didn’t make a great first impression -The first impression of the room was a very loud HVAC system but that was dismissed since at least it was cool in stark contrast to the hallway; unfortunately, that night we encountered the pitfall of the system…raising it one degree from a polar temperature caused the room to be uncomfortably hot and it took about an hour and a half to cool down interfering with our sleep in addition to its loud sound - We kept stepping on and subsequently tracking around what seemed to be brownie bits, which gave the impression that the floor hadn’t been vacuumed and raised some concern about the cleanliness of the room overall Honestly, I just wanted to go home. The location is great, but the hotel rooms need some more time/attention in terms of cleanliness and the HVAC systems definitely need attention.

Pros: Beautiful new(ish) hotel with a beautiful pool area. There was a DJ by the pool who played a decent variety of music. The bar cart is available for drinks and food orders. The attendants/bartenders were extremely pleasant and accommodating. The shops were very nice (mostly known storefronts). I found some great deals at the J. Crew outlet! Both the cafe and Italian restaurant were very good. Cons: We had to battle to get lounge chairs at the pool. There seemed to be chairs with used towels for hours, without an appearance from those who left them there. Perhaps staff should be collecting them, assuming the chairs are unattended. When we checked in, I was asked if we wanted cookies. I thought how nice! The cookies never came. Then we wanted to shower, there were only 2 towels for the 3 of us. We were told there were no more, and that they didn't know when we would be able to get them. One of us ended up running down to the pool and grabbed some there. My Elite Platinum status was not recognized, although when I told the front desk about the perks, she did hand me 2-$10 vouchers towards breakfast. I was not offered an upgrade. Being a hotel and food snob, I must say this is definitely one of the better hotels I've been to. I can forgive the mishaps. Perhaps they are still working out the kinks. If not for the blunders, I would have given them a 5 star rating.

Too assaulting loud at the pool. Everyone at the pool complained about the music, I got no results from politely asking manager t to turn it down. Pool drinks are $ and have hardly any alcohol in them. The rooftop bar was also loud and we could hear the music from our rooms. It’s a shame because the actual appointment and restaurants are nice.
