The owner was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you ♪ It is a very good place near the Trevi Fountain and the Plaza de España. We had more bread than we could eat for breakfast and a delicious cappuccino brought to our room. Thank you very much 😊

Our group of 14, 7 Girl Scouts and their moms, stayed here for a short trip to see the sights of Rome. The hotel arranged for two vans to pick us up and drop us off at the airport (for a fee). Since we were a large group, we got a whole floor to ourselves ( which I’m sure the other guests appreciated because our teenagers were quite boisterous!). A light breakfast was provided each morning in our rooms - coffee, rolls, crackers, fruit, eggs, prepared by one of the employees in a small kitchenette. The hotel is secure (you need a code to buzz yourself in). The front desk is not staffed 24/7 so keep that in mind if you’re looking for round the clock service. It is within walking distance to the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, metro, and plenty of shopping and restaurants. This is a very basic hotel, but it was perfectly fine to meet our group’s needs. If you’re just looking for a safe place to sleep and shower, then this is for you. I would definitely stay here again.

Their ad on ******* claim that there is staff on site daily from 7 AM to 9 - this is a lie. We showed up to an empty building with no staff and spent the next several hours calling, emailing, messaging through *******. We called ******* for help and they attempted to contact someone. We were JUST about to leave and find a different hotel when a very unhelpful man finally showed up. When we explained we had been waiting for hours he told us it was our own fault we showed up early. I explained our train times changed and he asked “why didn’t you call?” 😑 I then showed him my phone log showing the 100 times I attempted to call during the hours we stood outside waiting. Next he advised due to electrical issues the room I booked (and paid for) Room 126 was unavailable and that we’d have to stay in a tiny room (the size of a closet) We were exhausted so we said fine/whatever. The room was ridiculously small but considering the “hotel” was non-refundable we had no choice. We filled out the free breakfast slip and hung it on our door. The next morning - No breakfast. The same unhelpful man told us “you should have filled out the breakfast slip.” And we advised that we did… and that it was collected. Moments later a couple checked out of room 126 and we asked the rude staff man “I thought that room was having electrical issues? You told us that’s why we got the tiny room ..” and the man denied ever telling us that. 🤯😡 We finally checked in to room 126 and it was much larger than the prison cell room but the air conditioning did not work. When we inquired we were told once again “the hotel is having electrical issues but they cannot be fixed because it’s a weekend .” So we asked “but you just told us that the hotel wasn’t having electrical issues, even though we saw you clearly booked someone else in the room I paid for.” All in all we felt very disrespected and lied to and the overall experience was appalling and atrocious. Lie after lie after lie after lie. This is not a hotel, it’s one floor or an old dirty building with 8 rooms, not 13 like they advertise on ******* and most of the time there is no staff on site so guests are left to their own devices. Not only will I NEVER stay here again, I plan on submitting complaints. Do yourself a favor and choose another hotel, unless you enjoy being humiliated and lied to. The ONLY nice staff member was the lovely Italian woman cleaning guest rooms. We left her a tip and thanked her.

Very friendly reception by Reaz. The location of the hotel is perfect, it’s within walking distance of almost all the famous historical sites and the is metro right next to it. The hotel itself is also nice with great shower. Overall great experience.

I highly recommend Residenza Domiziano. The decision to stay at this place was a bull's eye. The staff is smiling, nice and very helpful. The gentleman from the reception explained everything patiently, despite my travel fatigue. Clean rooms, bathroom has a necessary starter and towels are being changed. Breakfast is tasty, varied and tailored to your preferences. The service is provided by a Polish lady, whom me and my mother would like to warmly greet here. It was nice to exchange a few sentences in Polish every day. In one of the comments I read that "the room at the reception desk was unbearable" ... I absolutely do not agree with it as I received one myself and I think that the noise was tolerable ... The phone could be a bit quieter but it did not ring all the time… Moreover, the room was facing the courtyard so it was really nice and quiet. I recommend this place with a clear conscience, I will definitely come back to Residenza Domiziano.

Sorry, this is a long review but if you are looking to book this place you should read this review especially if you’re travelling with young kids. Firstly, this is not a hotel. It is a guesthouse so false advertising there. It is basically an old apartment turned into accommodation. Very noisy, the rooms are relatively clean but look dated especially the toilets. Breakfast is mediocre at best and the rooms were boiling hot even with the air con on all day. I complained about this and they said they would reset the unit but it made no difference. The biggest issue happened during our last night (18/06). We got back to the hotel at approximately 10:15 / 10:30 pm. We ate at a restaurant with very slow service so we were rushing back to get our daughter to bed. The hotel provides a code to open 3 doors: - The main door that faces the road - The front door to access reception - The room door We managed to get into the building but when we tried to open the door to access reception, the keypad didn’t work. We thought there was a problem with our code so we tried to ring the doorbell but there was nobody there. Please note that they claim to have a 24-hour reception service on their website. Again, false advertising. I tried to call their number about 10-15 times but no answer. After about 10-15 minutes a Norwegian family arrived at the property and they tried to access reception but had exactly the same problem. They noticed we were there with a baby so they were very helpful. They tried to speak to some of the neighboring businesses to see if they could find an alternative number but they were unsuccessful. We were on the stairs for almost 1.5 hours with a sweaty, crying 9 month old baby who needed to sleep and a nappy change. I tried to speak to some of the other hotels in the building but I had no luck. The temperature in that building must have been between 35-40 degrees as I couldn’t stop sweating. We tried to call the hotel number again several times but again, no answer. We were so stressed and worried about our baby that we even considered looking for alternative accommodation but all of our belongings were in the room so it felt a bit pointless. We really didn’t know what to do. Eventually the Norwegian family started to bang on the door really hard and one of the guests (who of course didn’t look very happy) let us in. That experience completely ruined our day and messed up with our plans the next day as our baby slept until 10:30 am. When I complained in reception the following morning, the gentleman behind the counter said that we shouldn’t raise a complaint as it wasn’t necessary. He said something like “it’s not that bad”. I am not sure how he could say that after a horrible, stressful and somehow humiliating experience. We paid almost 700 euros for our stay. Whilst I understand it wasn’t his fault, he was very unwilling to help and didn’t show any sympathy. He tried to belittle the situation by stating that he had sent a message
