Very welcoming and helpful staff, both at reception and in the restaurant. Very comfortable bed, clean,modern room and bathroom...love all the wood! Very convenient for railway station. Breakfast rather expensive but dinner a reasonable price and good. Appreciated being able to pay early ( reception open at 6 a.m) as I had an early departure. Would recommend this hotel ....

I arrived at the hotel after a long hike. Unfortunately my reservation was not found immediately. That was a bit difficult. I was told where to go. However, this was a maze. Until I found the room... unfortunately it was also difficult. Then I opened the door and it smelled so bad. It almost threw me out again. I first had to go out on the balcony and ventilate. But the room was spotlessly clean. Nicely decorated. I also found the blanket and pillow to be defective. Completely worn out and uncomfortable. Also no breakfast was included. So for 119 per night I would expect a lot more. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not right at all.

We stayed in the newly renovated Hotel Schützen with our 2 year old son. We received a friendly welcome and were able to easily move into a nice room. We all slept very well, the bed was very comfortable. The room furnishings are nice and practical. The lunch and dinner were excellent, and our little one was always taken into consideration, even if he made a lot of mess at mealtime. The hotel and service staff read our every wish. We felt comfortable at all times and we can only highly recommend the Hotel Schützen, whether with or without family. We'd love to come back!

Friendly welcome, stylish room, everything newly renovated, nice garden restaurant with lots of shaded places, we ate very well. Good location, train station and pretty old town close by.

Brand new hotel, very friendly staff, great rooms. Great location, just a short walk to the train station, very quiet. Train connection to Basel is very good. The hotel is part of a complex of 3 houses and restaurants. I didn't have any meals in the hotel

Das schön renovierte Hotel mit historischem Flair bietet vieles. Wir waren in einer Suite im 5. Stock, zuoberst und direkt unter dem Dach. Problematisch, dass es keine Klimaanlage hat und die 2 Mini-Ventilatoren bringen nichts und sind auch nicht nachhaltig. Aber die Betten sind sehr komfortabel und die Nasszone zweckmässig ausgestattet; separates WC. Das Frühstück ist einfach und korrekt. Das Essen à la carte ist sehr gut und auch die eher kleine Weinkarte enthält einige interessante Tropfen; aber preislich eher zu teuer. Die Bedienung ist freundlich, aber nicht sehr professionell. Das Gegenteil muss zur Rezeption gesagt werden, sehr professionell, kompetent und mega freundlich. Das die 2-stündige Benutzung des Sole - Spa im zur Schützen-Hotel- Gruppe gehörende Hotel Eden noch CHF 23.00 kostet, finde ich anhand der hohen Hotelzimmerpreisen eher überrissen. Aber der Gesamteindruck ist gut bis sehr gut!

Historisches Haus mit modernem Flair. Sehr aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Alles sehr sauber und gut gepflegt. Breite Betten und gute Matratzen. Kleine Aufmerksamkeiten, wie ein kleines zusätzliches Nackenkissen im Bett, erfreuen. Wir hatten ein Eckzimmer mit umlaufenden Balkon - besser geht es nicht. Gute Küche. Wunderbar der Sommergarten. Frühstück bietet alles, was es für einen guten Start in den Tag braucht. Perfekte Lage für Bahnreisende, Velo- und Autofahrer. Ein 3*** Haus, dass heraussticht. Absolut seinen Preis wert! Wir haben noch in den dazugehörenden Häusern Hotel Schiff und Hotel Eden vorbeigeschaut. Auf der idyllischen Rheinterrasse mit grossartigem Blick einen genialen Apéro und ein wunderbares Nachtessen im Restaurant vom Hotel Eden genossen. Hier laden Park und Solebad dazu sein die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Ein Arbeitsaufenthalt, der sich durch das Ambiente wie Urlaub angefühlt hat.

Dass man sowas mit drei Sternen belohnen kann ist mir ein Rätsel. Aufgewacht mit Kopfweh und Gliederschmerzen. Dankbar das Zimmer verlassen zu können mit der Unzufriedenheit nochmals eine Nacht hier verbringen zu müssen. Stellt man sich einen Hotelaufenthalt so vor ?

Nur ein Wort, ohne Kommentar: katastrophal. Nie mehr!!!!! Freiwillig nie und nimmer. Ein solches Loch von Zimmer habe ich noch nie erlebt. Leider wurde ich geschäftlich hier einquartiert. Ich würde mich schämen für einen solchen Raum auch noch Geld zu verlangen
