I wanna give some information about the garden villa and ocean villa, garden villa is way better than ocean villa , it has private yard, it’s a little far from the lobby for more privacy and peace, but ocean villa is near the restaurant and it’s not private, the residence of gardens villa should pass by ocean villas to get to their room and it’s not even beach front, it doesn’t have private yard so the guests couldn’t open the curtains and use the view 🫣it should be half price of garden villa but it’s more expensive 😑 the toilet and bathroom doesn’t have door but has view to garden. The stuff are great. 👍🏼 The food is the best in the island but totally is average. Snorkeling with firus was amazing.😝 Everything is perfect, I highly recommend this villa.🫶🏻

Superb hospitality from ALL the employees. They are all super friendly and helpful! Booked a Garden View room and it’s just perfect. Room and surrounding compound is spacious, quiet and peaceful. Though the food prices are quite expensive compared to the other stays. Location is located at the end of Long Beach and the crowd is lesser here too.

Location wise good as it is located at the long beach. Tourist area. The most accessible to night attraction. This is among the best resort in Perhentian. However, it is quite over price compared to another hotel, resort or places. Other places with.the same rate, you can get a tip top facilities, view or services. Overall, this also an awesome place to spend your vacation. Enjoy!! C ya.. ;)

We had 4 wonderful nights here in a family villa with our 2 teenage children. The resort was stunning and at the quieter end of Long Beach. Communication before we arrived was great organising our transfer from the airport out to the Island. The villa was well appointed and with 2 bedrooms worked well for our family. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. At breakfast the chef couldn't have been more obliging and I think would have cooked everything on the menu if we had let him. The French Toast was divine as was the coffee and the view straight over the beach was a great way to start the day. There were always plenty of lounges and umbrellas on the beach for villa guests. We ate one night at World Cafe and the food was really nice. The complimentary cocktail and canapés late afternoon were a lovely touch and the kids really enjoyed their mocktails. However we also liked to wander along the beach on the other nights and choose one of the local restaurant's where you literally dine on the beach. The two snorkel trips we did were fabulous and we saw so much marine life. A truly great stay for our family and hopefully we will make it back one day

We had a wonderful stay in Bubu. Family villas are 2 separate bedrooms (connected outside but there is a compound you can lock so keeps kids secure between rooms) with 2 bathrooms (yay!) we are a family of 6 with 4 kids so we appreciated the space and two bathrooms. The breakfast food was tasty and freshly made by our friendly and talented chef from Pakistan. Bubu is perfectly located at the quieter end away from jetty. Close enough to the famous Flowjobs fire show but far enough not to be too noisy. Perhentian is kind of a perfect family holiday island. We’ve been to all the islands in Malaysia and plenty abroad (beach bums) and Perhentian has the best of both worlds. Turqoise waters, super flat beach with the softest sand, creature comforts in Bubu, plenty of sun chairs, lots of beach cafes so you can either splash out on ambience at Bubu or walk the beach and try any of the vibrant cafes, all the water sports you want without it being too noisy and it has a vibe without being crowded and crawling with tourist like Phuket or Bali. We loved staying in Bubu and it is probably the only other upmarket place on the island other than Bubu Resort. Book it and enjoy! Thanks to the fabulous Bubu Tena for making our stay so enjoyable! We loved the vibe in Pergenti

Bubu Villa is a great option, top quality food, wonderful staff, good location, you really feel like an actual guest staying with friends rather than a customer. Super friendly and helpful, very relaxing property, they take great care of you. If I come back to Perhentian Kecil, 10/10 would stay here again. That said, is Perhentian Kecil for you? It's known as a low-cost backpacker guest-house island. The vibe is like Boracay 20 years ago, but a bit less hedonistic given it's east coast Malaysia, so lots of families and a bit more conservative, but still, bars / hostels right on the beach, pumping techno, etc. It's not an idyllic deserted island, there are boats coming and going all day, and at sunset when the scuba and snorkel trips are all back, the beach is packed. It's a fun, festive atmosphere. You have access to all the diving and snorkeling you want. So you're looking to relive your hippie gap year, but you're older now and can afford better than Khao San Road, and maybe have a couple of kids in tow. Bubu Villa is your place. Small but clean and uncrowded beach right in front of the property, excellent western and asian food, private villas in a shady courtyard behind the restaurant, but next door to the backpacker mecca and still retains the local close-to-the-ground vibe. It's not super-luxe. But it's pretty close to perfect for what it is. So if what you read above sounds like a fun time, you're the target market and you're going to like it.

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had! The hotel exudes charm, elegance, and cleanliness, all in the most stunning location. It truly feels like a dream. The service is exceptional, with staff who are incredibly kind and gentle. Nasr is a sweetheart who ensures you have the best service, Waqar creates the most delicious culinary delights, and Ibtissem takes excellent care of you, tailoring all activities to your needs. The wonderful cleaning team deserves a special mention as well. Thank you for an unforgettable week! From tomato🥰🙏🏼

I simply loved the wonderful spices and beautiful plants found around the resort! No other resorts compared. I am more amazed by the culinary expertise from the Italian chef where he adorned our food with these spicies. Perfect! The dinner complemented the serenity found in this resort. The resort is nestled amidst the excitement along the beach. Where can I find this perfect mix of fun and peace and excellence? Will come again!

Our stay at Bubu Villas was fabulous from start to finish. From the airport pick up, to the service we received throughout our stay. We were treated like royalty and could not have asked for better. We stayed in a Family Beach Villa which boasted two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a day room – just perfect for our needs. The housekeeping staff were faultless in their care and attention to detail on a daily basis. The reception staff were always available for anything we needed. The service team, providing us with our cocktails and all our general needs, were the best we have ever experienced. Mikey makes a fabulous drink to complement the chefs afternoon canapes. Nasir was fabulous, he knew what we needed before we knew ourselves and was on hand throughout our stay for anything we wanted or needed. The food was spectacular. Breakfast offered freshly squeezed juice to order, an array of fresh fruit, pastries rolls, nuts and yoghurt. The fantastic catering team were also on hand to provide hot food to order. Waquar’s French toast with banana and chocolate sauce was the best we have ever eaten. The breakfast omelette also rivalled anything we have had elsewhere. For lunch or in the evening, we had a vast choice of Thai, western and BBQ food. Between Angelo’s western delights, the thai team’s expert dishes and the BBQ specialities we worked hard to eat as much of the menu as possible so we could experience everything. All the staff, from the managers to the maintenance team were friendly polite and attentive. They could not do enough to make our stay comfortable and special. We went on a fabulous snorkelling trip to the Islands highlights. The service we received, combined with the stunning beauty of the Island made for the perfect holiday

It is our third time at Bubu Villa. On all occasions, we book villas for 4 or 6 guests, as we bring families or friends during our stay. The highlights of Bubu is the location, its staff and the food. Angelo and his team make delicious food and are happy to accommodate any special requests, providing they have the ingredients available. Angelo is a true gem! As for the staff, Carla and Nasir in front of house are very attentive and great hosts. The down side with Bubu sadly is value for money. It is a mid-quality resort but they charge premium rates. The rooms are pleasant but basic. They don’t offer room service, concierge service or other type of facilities you would expect from a conventional hotel. Yet they charge between €220 and €400 per night depending on the room and number of guests. Those sort of prices would fetch you a 5-star resort in Mauritius, Bali or Thailand. It’s also worth noting that the snorkelling trips are pricier than anywhere else on the beach. The extra money apparently covers a pitiful lunchbox. Overall after 3 visits, we feel that the senior management are complacent and a tad greedy. They should do more to offer a better experience. It is the most comfortable stay on Kecil and they know it, although the new Marriott will bring stiff competition. Let’s just hope they can raise their game. Another comment includes The spa needs soundproofing from the back office.

The World Café at Bubu Villa Restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience that seamlessly blends amazing Italian and Asian cuisine with breathtaking sea views. The menu has a variety of classic Italian dishes alongside delicious Asian offerings. From simple salads to flavorful pasta and seafood, there's something to delight every palate. Fresh ingredients, generous portions and reasonable prices make this restaurant our favorite and the best on the entire island.A special mention goes to Chef Angelo for his exceptional cuisine and for creating a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. Unfortunately, we didn't stay at BuBu Villas, but we made it a point to enjoy lunch there every day. It has already earned a place on our list, and next time we visit the Perhentian, we will make sure to stay there.
Response from Property: Dear Evarriuso, Thank you for taking the time to share with us your wonderful feedback about our World Cafe at Bubu Villa. We are delighted to hear your daily lunch at World Cafe was exceptional from start to finish. We appreciate your kind words on our attentive team, especially Chef Angelo. We strive to delight our guests while you create special moments with us. Yor kind compliments to our team will encourage them to provide gracious hospitality from the heart. We are looking forward to welcoming you as our hotel guest during your next visit to Perhentian. Warmest Regards

We planned a three day visit to the BuBu Villa Resort which is located at the southern end of the beach. The resort is a standout on this part of Pulau Perhention and seems to be in a different league to all the dive shops and bars elsewhere on the island Big surprise was the food which was really high in quality , unusual for island resorts but they have great breakfasts and thai style food. Menu has everything and the staff there could not be nicer. We went at low season time as there had been some poor weather in late March so resort was quiet.. Everything was perfect and a big surprise . The secret beaches nearby are beautiful and the water is so clear. We saw sharks turtles Rays and all hosts of coral based fish. Even small Barracuda.
