I was here 10 years ago and nothing has changed, so it all feels and looks so outdated. The rooms have outdated fans that sound like it's about to fall off, old beds, poor bathroom lighting, broken door handles, hard to open sliding door to patio, etc. The restaurant menu also outdated, food was just OKAY, they should add new dishes and desserts. Poolside bars were mostly closed, when opened they lacked water and ice. The servers were unfriendly, had to ask several times for drinks and always got an attitude or just ignored all together. I booked a massage, but the masseuse was a no show after waiting 15 minutes, 30mins to get a refund for that. I was then approached by one of their "club med" like sales person, said I would get a "free" room for a night in one of their hotels if I listened to their sales pitch for 20mins, which I did and they had me running around to get the "free" room voucher, which ended up not being "free". You actually have to pay $54 and it comes with several rules and regulations on how and when you get to use it making difficult for you to actually use. Needless to say, this was not a great visit to this resort, won't be coming back. I would recommend Oceana resort near the same area, much more modern, cleaner, friendly staff and great food and atmosphere.

I do not recommend staying at this place. The service is terrible and their towel service is a joke. They make you leave your ID for 1 towel per person. While we were there, someone took our towel and turned it in. They left their towel, so we turned in their towel. Since we didn’t turn in our towel, they insisted on charging us $20 for the towel; even though all towels were returned. Nothing was lost. So we had to pay for a towel even though it was never lost. This place is so low class, they are fighting over a towel. We will NEVER return. The food is terrible and the alcoholic beverage options are bad. They have the cheapest alcohol offerings. They don’t have a full bar menu.

We came here for the day in March 2023. I honestly was not impressed. The lobby is extremely outdated kind of like stepping into a Time Capsule of the 1980’s. It could definitely use new and modern furniture, some nice fresh paint and better decor. Check in was fine. Change rooms are basically a washroom with a few stalls..not convenient at all. The pools are nice, large and clean with good music but the chairs are horrible..very old with what seems to be like gym mats on them so not comfortable. No poolside service so you have to go wait in line and wait every time you want a drink, and the service at the restaurant was extremely slow (im being generous when I say that) and the staff was not very knowledgeable and there was no sense of urgency to serve anyone. Food was ok once we finally got it. Beach was nice and clean. I definitely do not recommend the all inclusive, I do not feel that it is worth it. I think that for the prices that they charge customers they should really update the hotel. It has a lot of potential. Train the staff on better customer service, get better chairs, maybe build a bigger and better changing facility, poolside servers, and definitely an upgrade of the lobby. Would I come back? Perhaps but, only for the day and if improvements were made.

There were cockroaches in our unit. They moved us to a different unit, but we checked out the next day; four days early. The buildings are old and not well maintained. The kitchen was not equipped with basic cooking equipment. The gym smelled very musty and most of the machines did not work. The beach was dirty.

I just came back from staying at this hotel last week and I'm appalled at reading the reviews. Nothing about the hotel advertising claims to be the Four Seasons, yet that's what it seems the reviewers are expecting. The reason you want to stay at this hotel is for its stunning grounds, not for whether a building looks like it was built in the last few years or not. Are the grounds absolutely gorgeous, incredibly well kept, chock full of nature's beauty, safe, and fun? 1,000% yes!! Could the buildings be invested in? Sure, but why? It is totally not necessary and matter of fact, it would take away the rustic feel which is super charming! Most importantly, beds were comfortable, AC was cold, and the rooms were super clean. I could have used a refrigerator in my room for my medicine but the staff was kind enough to help me with that. So, as another paradise loving visitor, this is it!! If you want luxury, I consider this luxury for all the reasons I mentioned above but if your definition is the boring Ritz-Carlton, then choose that hotel instead! :)

If you are looking for a spectacular hotel to stay in during your visit to the beaches of Guatemala, the Hotel Soleil Pacific is your place. This hotel offers you 106 rooms and 22 bungalows from which you can choose the space that best suits your budget and family type. It has a lot of activities for children and adults. The nature you can appreciate there is very beautiful and relaxing. Also, there are a lot of different kinds of pools, and a delicious variety of food & beverages. It is a three-and-a-half-star rated hotel, and both languages, Spanish and English, are used in activities, menus, customer service, etc. The first option they offer to you is the Standard Room, with a capacity for three people, it includes one king bed or two double beds, a telephone, a private bathroom, air conditioning, a small table with two chairs, a closet, a private balcony, a hair dryer, one microwave and hand, hair and body soap. On the other hand, we have the mini-suites, which have a capacity for five people, it has the same equipment and number of beds as the standard with the exception that this one has one sofa bed, a plasma tv with cable, a safety deposit box, and one kitchen. The last one is the bungalows, these ones also have the same amenities as the last ones, but this one has certain characteristics that make it better than the ones mentioned above. It has a master bedroom with double beds, two bedside tables with lamps, a bathtub with hydromassage, a safe electronic box, and one small kitchen. The price will depend on the room you choose and the number of days you will be staying. Prices are around from 795 to 1,390 quetzales. In addition to staying, there is also a day pass that gives you access to use the facilities for a day and enjoy activities & delicious food options. It includes breakfast, snacks, and unlimited drinks with and without liquor. You can use swimming pools, gardens for recreation, restrooms, hammock area, and beach access. You can also have towels and lockers per person. This pass gives you access from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This day pass costs 480 quetzales. The hotel includes a gym to exercise at any time of the day, laundry service, spa service, different types of restaurants, and 24-hour Wi-Fi service. It has a kid's club for children if their parents want to enjoy a romantic dinner or a party at night. You can book any type of social events such as weddings, fifteen birthday parties, congresses, etc. There are three different types of pools, the anchor pool, the cabaña club pool, and the children's pool. The anchor pool does not have a defined schedule, but the club cabaña and the children's pool are open from 8:30 in the morning until 6:30 in the evening. And clearly, the access to the beach is from 5:30 in the morning until 6:30 in the evening. The Pacific Hotel is a large hotel with good facilities that has a big and clean beach of volcanic sand. It is 122 kilometers from the capital city and 51 kilometers from Escuintl

Our first trip to Guatamala and loved it. We were given a Free Trip from our daughter and we picked Guatamala as our location. This was another place that we got to cross off on our bucket list. Only problem was we came during a Holiday for Mexican Independance

Visited this hotel for the day. They offer an all inclusive day pass that includes food, snacks, drinks, towels service, lockers and parking with security guards. The yards are manicured and the pathways well maintained. Personel were wearing masks and there were hand sanitizer stations. The hotel is on the beach and it is surrounded by private properties. Most people chose to stay at the pools, close to the ice and drinks. So, there were not a lot of people at the beach. I appreciated a "foot pool" which one can use when returning from the beach to remove sand. What a great idea. The food at the restaurant, I would give 3 stars, but the service is 5 stars all around. I cannot comment on the rooms. The lobby, restaurant, pools were nice. I felt secure in this place. The parking and lobby access guards are excellent. I am very likely to return.

Old and uncomfortable facilities for the price paid are not worth it. The food on some occasions was acceptable Pool, bar and reception staff with a TERRIBLE attitude, it is all you can eat and they charged us Q25 for a soda (the price is not even in the most expensive supermarket in Guatemala) they never called the manager to have a solution to the problem that was experienced (a friend took the drinks from the bar area because there was no one there) In the pool a child vomited and they only picked up the bonito (it is well known that due to hygiene in other hotels there is time to do good cleaning) Safe deposit boxes in room do not work. Anyway, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT, you can get a better place for a small difference in price
