really great hotel, spacious, comfortable room with balcony, delicious breakfast and swimming pool, price a little expensive but it's normal in POM, good place to stop by and do business in POM.

Great hotel. Quite old, but well maintained. The lightings in the Executive Suite is quite poor. There’s only one old main light, which couldn’t light up the room well so I had to switch on the two small bed lights to do my work.

The hotel environment is comfortable and clean. The service attitude of the staff is attentive, active, and enthusiastic. The food in the restaurant in the hotel is of high quality and the taste is good, which is beyond my expectation. The most important thing is that the price consumption is also reasonable.

I have been staying at Holiday Inn & Suites Port Moresby every time I visit PNG. Its the most relaxed, comfortable and friendly place to stay in the capital. The day starts with the generous buffet breakfast at the ground floor eatery. There's a large indoor / outdoor dining area, and a wide variety of juices and local fresh fruits to kick off the day. I find the gym well equipped, and there's also a large outdoor swimming pool along side the resort's Gekko Bar. There is a walking - exercise circuit around the expansive, gated resort gardens. The hotel's location is very central. It's just a few minute's walk to bus stops, banks and various businesses and clubs. I usually have dinner from the hotel's restaurant, which has a varied and satisfying menu. Most recently I stayed in the newly refurbished tower rooms (see my photos in this review) which gives the hotel a contemporary upgrade. Suites have well appointed modern kitchen and bedroom with ensuite, open plan living and dining areas opening to the large balcony. I highly recommend Holiday Inn to all visitors based in Port Moresby.

A 1 night stop over turned into a 2 night stop over due to a cancelled flight. The hotel staff were great in trying to find rooms for our group as the 2nd night as a pretty full night for the hotel. As with every where I have been in PNG the staff are friendly, helpful, smiling, a nice change from being in Sydney. The heat and humidity make dining outside very pleasant. The room is a typical hotel room as expected, but it was the staff that made this stay stand out.

Booked this directly through my travel company, CWT. It was probably the cheapest out of lot, a cheap A$400/night. The rooms were ok, ac did not have any flaps or vanes so the air just came out. Bathroom was ok but or had the half glass partition which did not and never keeps the water in. Bed was ok, tv had a few decent channels. The restaurant for dinner and breakfast was ok. First morning breakfast, I didnt get the buffet and ordered a la carte with eggs Benedict. I ordered cappuccino but never got thr breakfast. I ended up walking out. The next morning I ordered the same and thr staff were very apologetic and I got everything for free. Dinner was ok, ordered safest as possible. The staff were nice and friendly. It is png so dont expect luxury or your standard holiday inn. It needs a serious upgrade, a bit tired.

Great place to stay; my preferred place to stay. It is centrally located and very close to relevant amenities. The hotel rooms are nice and clean, food is great, staffs are courteous. The location is lovely and the hotel has a some in house services too.

I'm not sure what their house keeping policy is but the first day i requested house keeping i was told they will be coming to clean up the rooms at 8:00am in the morning but if we don't request sometimes we can go 2/3 days without house keeping and we have never seen them earlier , they usually come after 2 pm even at 4/5pm and it's so frustrating. They don't even come to empty the bins in those 2 days. The other day i had to call the reception thrice ( an hour and 30 minutes inbetween). Sometimes they forget to leave the towels etc. I just can't wait to leave this place.

Was time to move to another hotel in POM, and leave the HI POM maintenance issues to other guests :-( Have been a long term supporter of HI POM since 2018, staying there 10’s and 10’s of nights. The 2nd half of this year, I stayed @ HI POM for 2 to 3 nights per month. Sadly, every stay comes with similar maintenance issues from: no-a/c in the room to noisy a/c pumps; flooding and water dripping out of a/c onto the floor onto ‘live electrical wall plugs’; broken doors and door handles falling off and basically, you are unable to secure your room and valuables; in-room safe that is never operational (honestly gave up trying to request a room with a safe that works); flooding shower and broken shower head in every 2nd room I stayed in; 2nd lift smart card reader not working for months. I did request a room change on several occasions, and the last request took 7 hrs after we had 3 maintenance people come and go through the room and 6 calls to reception. You name it, they have this maintenance issue. This is just the last 6-months. Let along trying to get the stay accredited onto your IHG Account. You would expect this to be an automatically process. Not @ HI POM. 3-4 emails later and you might be lucky to see the stay accredited.

One of the most horrific experiences of my life! A man armed with a gun was allowed information regarding my room number and then entry into my suite by the duty manager. This man proceeded to terrorize me and my guests and assault his ex-wife who was a guest of mine in the suite. He then continued to assault her in the open through the foyer past reception with multiple staff members witnessing including their security guards. Following this incident, General Manager and the hotel manager both treated me appallingly. Going into "cover-up mode" to save their jobs. If you value your life, I'd recommend staying at a nicer hotel managed to a higher standard. I could have lost my life and to this day I am traumatized.

Hotel gestito molto bene con cura della propria clientela. Hotel un po’ decentrato ma con all’interno numerosi servizi. Le stanze sono molto pulite e molto spaziose. Il personale è preparato ed cura con attenzione la clientela, il cibo è vario e molto buono.
