After purchasing a day pass , we waited an hour and half for main meal to come out. Given that we were only there for 3.5. this was totally inexcusable. There were 18 in our party for lunch, spaced out from 12-3, apart from 2 families you had as hotel guests the place was empty. Beach indulgence this certainly wasn't !

From the moment we arrived, Shadell, Tyra, and Chef Ray embraced us with warmth, making us feel like part of the family. Shadell and Tyra’s radiant smiles set the tone for each day, filling it with positivity and joy. The service was consistently superior and timely, with every request attended to gracefully and with charm. Interim GM Pascal, from the Plantation Resort, provided exceptional executive oversight and personalized support. From arranging transportation to facilitating memorable excursions, Pascal ensured that we fully experienced the intimacy and beauty of the island. Chef Ray was a true culinary artist, accommodating any dish we desired—even those not on the resort’s menu. His flexibility and talent added a unique and delightful touch to our stay. The resort itself is the epitome of first-class luxury. True to its mantra, The Art of Doing Nothing, the ambience, beauty, and comfort of The Liming made it effortless to relax and unwind. I highly recommend The Liming and am already looking forward to our return. To the owners: your staff—Shadell, Tyra, Ray, and Pascal—is the greatest amenity of all. They deserve the highest praise and thanks for making our stay unforgettable.

We loved every minute of our stay and can’t wait to return again next winter! Everything was perfect. Exactly what we both needed to relax and recharge. Friendly and welcoming staff. Awesome meals and service. We did a trip into town and had a wonderful tour around. Highly recommend the BBQ dinner on the patio of your suite under the stars!

I just returned from what was supposed to be a 10 day vacation in this “luxury villa” at The Liming!!! We left after 3 days (only because we couldn’t fly out any sooner)! The place is completely DILAPIDATED, MOLD-RIDDEN, and MOUSE-INFESTED? Beware! The photos advertising this place throughout the internet, were probably taken over 20 years ago! The fact that there was a dead mouse laying in the middle of the living room when we arrived, was clearly the first sign of things to come! The furniture is old, stained and worn. Doors and woodwork throughout the house….old and cracking. Paint is peeling through the place. The faucets/shower fixtures in the bathrooms are corroded, escutcheons are missing. Mold is evident on the exterior of the property as well as all around the pool decking. Electrical outlets on the walls are loose and crooked. The stainless on the stove/hood and throughout the kitchen is discolored from moisture and heat (the kitchen isn’t air-conditioned. There was an air-conditioner present but non-functional). When we opened the dishwasher the day after arrival, the stench could’ve knocked you over! It was clearly non-functional and the mold growing inside it was incredible (hence the foul-odor!). The windows throughout the house were filthy. The dining room chairs were so stained and dirty, we were compelled to cover them with beach towels before we even sat down. We found mouse droppings behind the TV unit and inside the electrical outlet (that was not covered) in the “media room” (which explained the dead mouse on arrival). The place was clearly infested. We were told (only upon arrival) that the house ran on collected rain water, that the water coming out of the faucets was not safe to drink, and that only the ice-maker was “filtered”. The water coming out of the faucets was literally yellow/brown! We had to shower in brackish water for 3 days! They advertise that a private BBQ chef can come and prepare a meal for you and your guests at $150pp, but the BBQ pit is not even finished (construction)? The entire place is an un-sanitary, health-hazard!! The resort’s restaurant is a complete other story. The food is lack-luster. The first night we were there, we ordered fish. The odor of it when it was brought to the table was off-putting enough. You couldn’t even get the fish to pull away from its bones. It was simply inedible. The next morning we went down for breakfast and I ordered a fruit plate. It had 4 pieces of fruit on it!! So I then requested an additional croissant only to be told that they were “all out”. We went to breakfast at 8:30a! The next day we ordered fries at lunch, only to be told they were “all out of fries”. The third day we wanted an omelet with cheese and were told they were “all out” of cheese!! To top this off, there were a group of feral cats that appeared every day at the restaurant….that proceeded to jump onto the tables (after guests departed) to eat whatever was left on their plates!! My husband and I recently traveled to Bequia and stayed at the Liming Resort. The travel to get there was extensive but well worth it. Upon arrival we got upgraded and enjoyed the beach, the people, and the food. Staff was friendly and attentive! The resort had a beautiful view and was very relaxing, it had beach games and vast amounts of privacy whether you lounge by the beach or the private pool. Angel, the resort dog, was sweet and friendly. It was a perfect getaway to a hidden gem! We will be back.

This was our second visit to The Liming staying in the one bed villa and what a contrast. Sadly, for a luxury hotel it fell very short and felt neglected. Just to mention a few of the issues which need addressing, the cleanliness of the rooms. The entrance door to the villa was very dirty, the shower floor and shower wall tile was mouldy and dirty, the shelf below the bathroom window had a previous occupants hair along with dust , the bathroom window had what looked like a piece of carpet secured with duck tape. Surely a roller blind would appropriately screen for the privacy needed. The toilet brush handle was missing, although when mentioned was replaced with a plastic one. Some of the walls including the entrance wall to the shower were dirty. The skirt around the bed had fallen below its knees and could not be pulled up. The closet doors around the hand pull were dirty. The towels were hard and off white. The sheets were off white and greyish, thin and worn. The interior doors went from white to yellow. The living room rug was worn and stained. The blade of the ceiling fan was very dusty. Turndown service was inconsistent. All in all with some attention this could’ve been a truly amazing experience again, It is a beautiful location, the restaurant service staff was great but the condition of the Villa was disappointing and it felt like some of the staff had adopted ‘ the art of doing nothing’.
Response from Property: Dear SJF Thank you for your feedback, your comments are taken seriously with the aim to use them for improvement. We are sorry to hear that the room was not up to the standard it should have been, and it is disappointing to hear this. Understanding this was a return visit for you we would have liked to attend to your concerns straight away and perhaps arrange an alternative room. We would love for you to return to The Liming for a third time and when you are making your travel arrangements, I would be grateful if you would contact me , so that I may ensure a wonderful stay for you and have a chilled bottle of Champagne waiting on your arrival. May I thank you again for your valued feedback. Kind regards Arron Gwinnett General Manager

We stayed at the Liming for nine nights. On entering the Liming into the main reception/restaurant area, which definitely has that architectural wow factor, we felt that this was going to be a really special place to stay. Our room was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable, the attention to detail was perfect and the Elemis toiletries were an additional lovely touch. The room was spotlessly clean and the housekeeping team were amazing! The Manager ensures he is accessible to all guests and visitors and the whole team of staff at the Liming are truly wonderful. The food is fabulous and the ambience is relaxing but not pretentious …a balance which isn’t always easy to create. We swam in the sea, having the beach practically to ourselves, we walked miles and enjoyed visiting Paget farm….getting to know a few locals. It was really easy to taxi into town and try different restaurants. This is our third visit to the Island of Bequia and our first to the Liming, it definitely won’t be our last. Thank you to the whole Liming team, we had a fabulous stay.

Good setting, pina colada decent, had lunch consisting of prawn Caesar salad. Had to return as the chef could not be bothered to devein the prawns and had overcooked them, basic cookery skills lacking for such a restaurant. Service was good

We went for on a day pass, and had a wonderful day. $75 per person with free drinks and 3 course lunch. Stunning views, great for sunset dinner. Great for swimming and water sports. Very deserted which we loved, only one other couple on the beach and in the restaurant. 2 downsides, the toilets were not clean and one of two was blocked all day. and the road to the hotel is in dreadful condition. Would highly recommend a day there but would not recommend a stay. Atmosphere lacking and a bit soul less

Very relaxing place. Manager and staff super friendly and helpful - they were even able to relocate us to a villa more suited to our needs which was very much appreciated. The beach on which the property is located is idyllic and very quiet. The only negative is that the Liming is quite secluded which limits the dining options when staying for an extended time. Taxis are available though if required.

Amazing place, REALLY end of the word. Small, new (5 years old), very comfortable and nobody around. Friendly staff, nice rooms with personal pools. Good restaurant, small beach and nobody around. There is no entertainment, so bring your partner and enjoy nature. Special thanks to GM Aaron - very nice, know legible and friendly person.

Tired and run down with a general manager who has a seriously bad attitude and clearly knows nothing about man-management or how to run a resort. The fact that the local population avoid the place even when there's nowhere else open, speaks volumes
